SPEARS AND TIMBERLAKE ROMANCE PLAYS OUT IN OPERA
BRITNEY SPEARS and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE’s romance will come under the spotlight seven years after they split - it’s the subject of a new opera.
Fictional musical Timberbrit tells the story of Spears’ fall from grace, following Timberlake as he attempts to reunite with Spears before she ultimately chooses the audience over her first love.
Composer Jacob Cooper used audio software to slow down Spears’ hits, collaborating with writer Yuka Igarashi to rework them into haunting arias for the tragedy.
A partially completed version of Timberbrit originally debuted in New York City in 2008 but is now being developed into a full stage production.
Former child stars Timberlake and Spears broke up in 2002.
