ESSMAN DETAILS WILD LOVE LIFE IN NEW MEMOIR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:33 pm

Newlywed U.S. TV star SUSIE ESSMAN is shaming her ex-lovers in a steamy new memoir detailing her bizarre bedroom stories.
The Curb Your Enthusiasm actress, who married real-estate broker Jim Harder last September (08), has penned What Would Susie Say: Bulls**t Wisdom About Love, Life and Comedy.
She writes, "My past is littered with unbelievably inappropriate partners. I’ve been through some real humdingers over the years, or should I say hum-dingdingding-ers… I remember a guy I once dated who would say things like, ‘Bob really likes Susie. Bob wants Susie to get naked’… Then there was the freak who every time he went to the bathroom made me applaud." Essman, who was 53 when she walked down the aisle, insists her history of dating strange men eventually helped her find love.
She adds, "So you marry a guy when you’re 25, and that’s it? That’s the extent of your sexual experience? That wasn’t for me. I always thought if wedding vows went something like: ‘For better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, and you’ll never have sex with anyone for the rest of your life,’ people wouldn’t be so quick to say, ‘I do.’" The book is scheduled to hit store shelves in October (09).

GREEN WAS FORCED INTO BOND ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:33 pm

EVA GREEN wanted to turn down the role of Bond girl VESPER LYND in CASINO ROYALE - but her agent "bullied" her into accepting the part.
The French actress starred opposite Daniel Craig in the 2007 spy movie, which landed her the Rising Star honour at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.
She almost missed out on the role because she didn’t think she could play a sexy secret agent - but was "forced" into it by her representative.
Green says, "When Casino Royale came out I was worried, as I’m not a ‘Bond girl’ kind of girl. But the role wasn’t your typical James Bond female role. It wasn’t just typically sexy - I got lucky. My agent was very good in forcing me to do it. I wasn’t interested, but she bullied me into reading the script, and the character was a real treat, so no regrets."

She says, "I haven’t chosen any other action films since Kill Bill because I felt that everything else just sort of paled by comparison. I don’t like to get lulled into some hole that I can’t get out of."

WASHINGTON CAME CLOSE TO A LIFE OF CRIME

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

DENZEL WASHINGTON credits his acting ambitions with saving him from a life of crime - he fell in with a bad crowd as a teenager.
The Oscar-winning actor plays a man who takes a bribe from a hijacker, played by John Travolta, in his upcoming movie The Taking of Pelham 123.
And Washington connected with the character because he took part in petty crimes when he was growing up in a tough New York neighbourhood.
He says, "I believe I have been that guy. Not recently, but you don’t forget. I’ll never forget what it feels like not to eat, no matter how much food you get. I agree that it’s not quite the same situation, because he (character) has taken money and I haven’t done anything like that. But the humiliation, that’s happened in the boxing ring when you are getting beaten up. And we’ve all done a small crime… Oh, I’ve been very bad." And Washington knew how lucky he had been after bumping into one of his old crewmembers during a stint on Broadway.
"We all used to ride the trains together. Sneak on the trains, jump the turnstiles, go to town and hang out. I don’t see them so much any more because I don’t go to Mount Vernon (the New York suburb he grew up in ). But when I did Julius Caesar on Broadway, one showed up at the play. He had been in the penal system for 28 years and he asked for my help, so I helped him get a house. At least, I hope he bought a house. The second one died. The third one is a chef doing okay. And I am the fourth one."

GREEN RED-FACED AT SEX SCENES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

EVA GREEN refuses to watch any of her movie sex scenes - because she squirms when she sees herself strip off onscreen.
The Casino Royale beauty has filmed intimate moments with her Bond co-star Daniel Craig and Orlando Bloom in 2005’s Kingdom of Heaven.
The French actress wishes she could improve her skills by casting a critical eye over her performances - but she can’t bear to watch herself getting passionate with co-stars.
She says, "I can never watch myself in sex scenes. I struggle to watch myself in any scene to be honest. What’s done is done.
"I wish I was able to watch myself, as it would really help me develop as an actor. But I’m not brave enough. It’s a difficult thing to do - looking at yourself as this utterly different person on screen."

DANIELS AVOIDS HOLLYWOOD LIFE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

JEFF DANIELS refuses to move to Los Angeles for the sake of his career - because living away from the Hollywood bubble keeps him sane.
The Dumb & Dumber star is adamant he will not quit his home in Chelsea, Michigan - where he grew up - even after his agent ordered him to pay for his own flights to L.A. for regular business meetings.
He credits his stable personal life and a home away from the bright lights of Hollywood for keeping him grounded.
Daniels tells the Chicago Sun-Times, "I love living in Michigan, which has been great for my kids and my family. I just never did buy this idea that you have to live in Los Angeles to be an actor. I didn’t see that as a requirement in my job description. We do have an airport in Michigan.
"Basically, years ago we had a child and wanted to raise our baby in a part of the country that we understood. My agent said, ‘If you’re willing to go to L.A. at your own expense for a meeting, then we’re fine. Don’t ever tell us that you can’t afford it.’ "I think Michigan keeps you sane and on an even keel through the ups and downs. In Michigan, I do fireworks, shovel snow and live life."

TAUTOU BRANDS CHANEL A ‘LIAR’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:36 pm

French actress AUDREY TAUTOU has blasted the subject of her new film COCO AVANT CHANEL - insisting the iconic couturier was a "liar".
The star takes on the role of Coco Chanel in the revealing new biopic, which documents the designer’s life before she became a fashion sensation.
Chanel has been accused of conspiring with Nazis during World War II over claims she was living with a German lover during the conflict.
But Tautou, who has been tipped for an Oscar with her portrayal of Chanel, insists it’s impossible to uncover the real truth behind the legend - because she constantly lied.
She tells Sky News, "She was a liar, so it’s difficult to know who she was before she became famous and had some success.
"She didn’t want to talk about her youth. I don’t know why, maybe she was ashamed or maybe she didn’t want people to feel pity for her because she came from a poor family." And the The Da Vinci Code star admits she was apprehensive about taking on such a character - because Chanel is so revered in her native France.
She adds, "It’s not scary, but it’s more of a responsibility. I didn’t want to betray her. I wanted to have a sense of her character, her personality.
"It was more interesting to get as deep as possible in her sensitivity and creation, rather than just giving the main cliche of her life."
