FOX FACES MEDIA BLACKOUT FROM MEN’S SITES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:36 pm

MEGAN FOX has failed to work her charm on all red-blooded men - several editors of America’s biggest male websites have decided to boycott news and pictures of the siren for one day.
The Transformers beauty has stormed into the popular press in the last year and is regularly voted as the sexiest women in the world.
She has also become a men’s magazine stalwart, appearing on the cover of GQ, Esquire, Maxim and Empire in just a matter of months.
But bosses of several U.S. websites aimed at men have decided to ban any news about the raven-haired actress for a full 24 hours - insisting they fear she is becoming over-exposed.
AskMen.com editor James Bassil says, "We’re joining in the media blackout and giving our readers a one-day reprieve from the woman we’ve been drowning in all summer." Eric Rogell at TheBachelorGuy.com adds, "It’s time to give another young actress a shot at the attention. We’re taking a one-day break from covering Megan’s latest nail polish colour and instead promoting another Next Big Thing." The Megan Fox ‘media blackout’ will take place on 4 August (09).

HAIRY TIMES FOR WOLF MAN MOVIE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

THE WOLF MAN’s growl is turning into a whimper - the movie’s release date has been pushed back for the fourth time.
The highly-anticipated movie, starring Benicio del Toro as a cursed werewolf, was first slated to hit cinemas in 2007, but was postponed after a problem in securing a director.
Video auteur Mark Romanek was set to helm the film, but dropped out after stating the $100-million (£75million) budget wasn’t enough to finance his vision. Jurassic Park III boss Joe Johnston subsequently took over.
The film was then pushed back to February this year (09) and then November (09), but Universal Studio bosses are reportedly trying to avoid a big office battle with Twilight sequel, New Moon.
Now the supernatural project, which also stars Sir Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt, won’t be released until February 2010.
Last minute special effects changes, to make del Toro’s wolf character walk on four legs rather than two, are cited as the reason for the latest postponement.

FOX DOWNPLAYS BAY FEUD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

MEGAN FOX has attempted to downplay her "feud" with TRANSFORMERS director MICHAEL BAY, insisting the swipes they’ve exchanged in the media are simply how the pair interacts.
The brunette beauty blasted Bay in an interview in June (09), just days before Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen was released in the U.S., ranting that "working with Michael Bay is not about acting".
Bay went on to dismiss her comment in a separate interview, telling the Wall Street Journal, "Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in Transformers." He added, "That’s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she’s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do." But now the actress is paving the way for the pair to reconcile by insisting she has no bad feelings towards the filmmaker.
Speaking at Comic-Con in San Diego, California at the weekend (25-26Jul09), Fox said, "That’s just me and Mike. That’s how we talk. I don’t feel like we’re in a war of words at all." And Fox went on to admit there could be some truth to the criticisms Bay made about her: "Obviously, what he said is not untrue, about me saying ridiculous things all the time and being 23. That’s all accurate."

WOODS SET TO TESTIFY AT 9/11 TRIAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Actor JAMES WOODS could take to the stand in the first wrongful-death case stemming from the 9/11 terrorist attacks when it hits court in April (10), according to a new report.
The Oscar-winner allegedly testified at a deposition earlier this year (09) over his claims he saw several of the 19 Al Qaeda hijackers on his American Airlines flight from Boston, Massachusetts to Los Angeles a month before the 2001 attacks.
According to the New York Post, Woods grew suspicious of the Middle Eastern men onboard after noticing they didn’t order drinks or speak to attendants but seemed to be carefully monitoring the crew.
He reportedly told a staff member, "I think this plane is going to be hijacked. I know how serious it is to say this." Now Woods could once again be called to testify at a hearing into the deaths of flight attendant Sara Low and passenger Barbara Keating, who were killed when American Airlines Flight 11 flew into the World Trade Center’s North Tower in New York.
A Manhattan federal judge has set 12 April 2010 as the start date for the case brought by the families of three victims, who are taking legal action against the airline and airport security.
A third lawsuit has been filed by the relatives of hockey scout Mark Bavis, 31, who was on United Airlines Flight 175 when it hit the South Tower.
Another 97 families refused to pursue legal action and instead accepted settlements from the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund, which divided up $500 million (£334 million) between the families.

FIELDER-CIVIL OPENS UP ABOUT WINEHOUSE’S AFFAIRS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:45 am

AMY WINEHOUSE’s ex-husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL has accused the singer of cheating on him with at least four different men while he was in prison.
The pair married in Miami, Florida in 2007 after a whirlwind romance, but divorced this month (Jul09) with Fielder-Civil citing adultery as the reason for the split. Winehouse admitted the charge in court papers.
The break-up followed a stormy year which saw the singer sink deep into drug abuse and her husband get sent to jail.
Fielder-Civil was handed a 27-month sentence last July (08) after he was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, in relation to a 2007 assault on a pub landlord.
And the 27 year old, who was released in February (09), claims his wife was unfaithful to him while he was behind bars - with four different lovers.
Fielder-Civil has named the men as Winehouse’s former assistant, Alex Haines, Babyshambles guitarist Mik Whitnall, actress Sadie Frost’s on/off boyfriend, Kristian Marr, and rugby hunk Josh Bowman, who the star met on her recent Caribbean holiday.
He says, "There may be others, but if there are she hasn’t told me. She kept cheating on me, kept saying sorry. And I kept saying, ‘It’s alright, I forgive you.’ The nastier she was, the more in love I became. And she couldn’t believe her luck. You should have seen the state of them, especially Alex Haines. I can’t even understand why she did it. And I can’t believe Amy is still friends with Sadie Frost after she f**ked her boyfriend." And Fielder-Civil reserves extra criticism for the men who slept with his wife - insisting they took advantage of a woman who was obviously unwell and under the influence of drugs.
He adds, "If I was the person she had these flings with, I may have thought it’s not the best idea to sleep with someone who is out of their mind, can barely speak and probably weighs about five stone. But that’s their cross to bear. I think she’s just very lonely and has always used her sexuality to make friends." But the former junkie admits that despite all of her indiscretions, he still has feelings for his ex-wife: "Despite everything, despite her affairs, I still love her. Deep down, that’s impossible to change."

JACKSON’S HOME MOVIES PUBLISHED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:45 am

Intimate footage of late superstar MICHAEL JACKSON at home with his children has been obtained by a British newspaper.
The private five minute tape features footage from birthday parties held for Prince Michael, now 12, and Paris, now 11, as well as intimate moments of the superstar laughing and joking with his kids.
Although it is not known when the tape, obtained by U.K. tabloid The Sun, was shot, it is believed to have been filmed before the birth of Jackson’s third child, Prince Michael II aka Blanket, now seven.
Jackson is shown sitting on the floor at his Neverland Ranch in California, putting together a jigsaw puzzle with the two children as he sings and encourages them to join in.
During footage of Prince’s birthday, Jackson turns to the camera and records a special message for the youngster to watch when he grows up. He says, "Prince, that was for you to learn about perseverance and confidence and the true meaning of success - which is love.
"And to know that you can reach any goal that your heart desires. It is totally up to you, you can do anything that you want to do and I love you." In the next scene Paris is seen addressing her father, telling him, "Daddy, Thank you for my birthday cake. I love you so much. You are the best daddy in the whole world," while Prince adds, "You’re the best daddy in the whole world and I love you," before running over to give his dad a kiss and a hug.
Jackson then asks Paris for her birthday wish and she insists she wants to grow up to be a singer like her famous father, saying, "I want to do what you do, dance and sing, " before Prince jumps in and adds, "Me too!" The kids go on to serenade Jackson with a touching rendition of classic song You Are My Sunshine, changing the lyrics to: "You are my daddy, my only daddy, you make me happy when skies are grey. You’ll never know dear, how much I love you. So please don’t take my daddy away." The video ends with the two youngsters hugging their dad, as Jackson tells them, "Ah, I love you. That was sweet."

Troubled actress MISCHA BARTON has made her first public appearance since she was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold at a Los Angeles hospital earlier this month (Jul09).
The former The O.C. star was placed under the care of doctors at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after reportedly suffering a meltdown and calling cops to her Hollywood home.

Shooting on the programme, created by Ashton Kutcher, was initially reported to have been delayed by Barton’s hospitalisation, but bosses at The CW network insisted the hold-up was the result of unfinished sets.

MILLER ‘DISAPPOINTED’ BY ROBIN HOOD SNUB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:42 am

British actress SIENNA MILLER was "disappointed" to have been dropped from RUSSELL CROWE’s new ROBIN HOOD movie - but insists her replacement CATE BLANCHETT was a much better choice.
The star was originally signed on to play Maid Marian, but she mysteriously left the project last year (08) amid rumours she had been dropped because she was considered too young to play 45 year old Crowe’s love interest.
The 27 year old admits that although she was looking forward to starring in the epic movie, she accepts that Blanchett, 40, is much better suited to the part.
She says, "If I had to make a choice between myself and Cate, then I’d choose her as well. Of course I was disappointed, but I am also big enough to know these things happen all the time in the film industry - it’s just that when they happen to me it’s news."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:39 am

He said, "Mark Ronson is involved. I like him a lot, I’m a big fan. The album is very different than what people would expect. JAGGED EDGE NEVER WANT TO WORK WITH DUPRI AGAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:36 am

R&B group JAGGED EDGE have ruled out ever reuniting with longtime producer JERMAINE DUPRI to work on their future projects, insisting that door is "closed".
The Where The Party At hitmakers - consisting of twins Brian and Brandon Casey, Kyle Norman and Richard Wingo - rose to fame in the mid-1990s after signing to Dupri’s So So Def Records.
Jagged Edge recently agreed a new deal with Slip-N-Slide Records for the release of their upcoming album The Remedy, and singer Brian Casey reveals the group’s professional relationship with Dupri is now over for good.
However, he insists the split is amicable.
Asked whether Dupri would be contributing to The Remedy, Casey said, "No. I usually like to leave the door open for questions like that, but I’m going to go ahead and close that door. No, we’re not working with Jermaine.
"I’m not really looking to ever work with Jermaine again. It’s not beef. It’s no love lost. I just think we’re on two different pages and that’s fine. He can be where he’s at and we can be where we’re heading."
