Australian actor ERIC BANA is having trouble parenting his two young kids thanks to his hectic work schedule - because he can’t discipline the pair over the phone.
The 40-year old actor and wife Rebecca Gleeson share two children, 11-year-old son Klaus and eight-year-old Sophia.
The family often travels together when Bana’s at work; but the actor admits he immediately loses control of his kids as soon as he’s away.
He says, "When we shoot movies we travel together but when I’m on a junket I fly solo. I know this sounds so lame given the fact that it’s 2009 but I just discovered (video conferencing service) Skype - which I’ve discovered is fantastic for saying ‘Hello’ but is not great for parenting.
"The other day we’re taking turns… (My kids and I) started talking and suddenly they got into a fight. The next thing I see is this hand coming from out of frame, and suddenly I’m watching a hostage video. (I’m screaming) ‘Get your hands off her! Where’s your mother?’"

Eagle-eyed cinemagoers have named and shamed the newest HARRY POTTER release as the most error-filled movie of 2009 so far.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth instalment of the wizard franchise, was released to U.S. theatres less than two weeks ago on 15 July (09) but has already notched up a whopping 57 mistakes, each detailed on website MovieMistakes.com.
In one scene, Rupert Grint’s character Ron Weasley can be heard speaking but his mouth doesn’t move, while in another, Daniel Radcliffe’s Harry Potter appears with a windswept and messy hairstyle just seconds after his locks were neatly combed.
The number of blunders means the latest Harry Potter movie is leading a list of the year’s most mistake-ridden films, toppling Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, which was littered with 53 bloopers.

American TV actor WALTER JONES has been arrested for driving under the influence (DUI).
Jones, known for playing the role of the Black Ranger Zack Taylor on the hit television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, was taken into custody on Sunday night (26Jul09) by State Troopers in Huntsville, Alabama.
According to TMZ.com, the 38 year old met bail and was released.
No further information regarding the arrest was made available as WENN went to press.

QUENTIN TARANTINO has sacrificed marriage and kids for the sake of his filmmaking career.
The director admits he has come close to finding love and commitment - most recently two years ago with an unknown woman - but he doesn’t regret letting the relationship fail, insisting it would have killed his career.
Tarantino tells GQ magazine, "I’m not saying that I’ll never get married or have a kid before I’m 60. But I’ve made a choice, so far, to go on this road alone. Because this is my time to make movies.
"If (his recent romance) had happened, I wouldn’t have made Inglourious Basterds. Or I wouldn’t have made it with the same intensity. And it wouldn’t be finished now. "

UMA THURMAN struggled to cope with the strains of motherhood - until a doctor ordered her to spend one night a week pampering herself at a luxury hotel.
The Kill Bill actress has an 11-year-old daughter, Maya, and son, Levon, seven, with her ex-husband Ethan Hawke.
She found it difficult adjusting to the role of mum when children arrived in her life, because she felt guilty making time for herself.
Thurman says, "That’s what motherhood is about. The chaos and the confusion - and also the loss of yourself. Of course there is a good part to losing yourself - any mother that doesn’t give herself up isn’t a good mother, but at the same time you can get to a point where you can’t reach the identity that helped you be stable in the first place - and that is quite a frightening feeling.

NICOLAS CAGE has slashed the value of his Hollywood mansion - relisting the property at half of his original $35 million (£23.3 million) asking price.
The Leaving Las Vegas star first put his Bel Air home on the market in 2007, but the house failed to attract potential buyers with its hefty price tag.

Jazz composer GEORGE RUSSELL has died at the age of 86.
The renowned pianist and theorist passed away in Boston, Massachusetts on Monday (27Jul09) after suffering complications from Alzheimer’s disease, according to his publicist.
The musician, famed for writing Cubano Be/Cubano Bop for the Dizzy Gillespie Orchestra, is credited with developing the Lydian concept, a theory regarding the recognition of chords and chord structures to create a more unified sound.
The concept was key to the music of Miles Davis and John Coltrane.
Russell is survived by his wife, their son and three grandchildren.

AC/DC frontman BRIAN JOHNSON risked the wrath of former Russian President BORIS YELTSIN - he accidentally urinated on a Sputnik spacecraft in Moscow.
The veteran rockers were invited to play a gig in the country after Yeltsin saw off a coup attempt by hardline members of the Communist Party in 1991.
Yeltsin promised young supporters he would stage a rock concert to show his appreciation for their support - but the event almost ended in disgrace when Johnson soiled a prized satellite in storage at the venue.
He says, "We were playing at this big airport in Moscow in Russia when the coup happened, and Yeltsin was on top of a tank and he promised the kids as a thanks for helping - ‘What do you want?’ And they said ‘We want rock and roll, AC/DC.’ So we went over and there was a million people there, and they had 30,000 armed guards to look after them.
"It was getting dark then and I was bursting for a pee. I went outside and there was this concrete plinth and I’m standing there going (urinating). And there were these two guards who were really upset. Then the translator came out (to explain) - I had just p**sed on a Sputnik! It was just this black ball, I didn’t realise what it was."

Former CREAM star JACK BRUCE was bombarded with death threats from furious LED ZEPPELIN fans after the bassist criticised the rock legends and dismissed them as "crap" earlier this year (09).
Bruce hit the headlines in May (09) when he blasted the Stairway to Heaven group for staging a "lame" one-off reunion in London in December 2007.
He went on to insult the band saying, "You’re crap and you’ll never be anything else. Cream is 10 times the band Led Zeppelin is." Bruce’s comments riled fans of the Robert Plant-fronted band and he found himself on the receiving end of a barrage of threats on his life - but the axeman is still surprised at how much of a stir he caused.
He says, "It was just a bit of fun and it was blown out of all proportion. Some Led Zeppelin fans were really angry at me and I had a few death threats." And Bruce is blaming modern technology for spreading the news so quickly, because such a furore would have never happened in the old days: "People like me tend to forget that with YouTube and Twitter, you can’t say anything without it getting around the world.
"We always used to have a pop at other bands in the old days and that was all it was. It was like I had spoken out against the Queen or something. You obviously can’t say anything against Led Zeppelin."

U2’s upcoming European tour dates have been thrown into doubt after their stage equipment was held up by locals in Dublin, Ireland, in a row over the dismantling of the stage set.
The Irish rockers wrapped up the last of their three-night residency at Croke Park on Monday (27Jul09) and are due to play two gigs in Gothenburg, Sweden later this week (31Jul-01Aug09).
But tour organisers fear the concerts may not be able to go ahead as planned after trucks carrying parts of their elaborate stage set were prevented from boarding scheduled ferries out of Ireland on Tuesday morning (28Jul09).
Protesters crowded the streets outside the stadium to show their anger at the local council for allowing work to continue throughout the night as stagehands took apart the band’s custom-built 360-degree platform.
And the delay could cost U2 the next stops on their current world tour because the audio and visual equipment are key to their live shows and take a week to construct.
Tour director Craig Evans says, "It will be tight." Organisers admit they will not know whether the concerts will be going ahead until the last minute, as the impact of the delay has yet to take full effect.
Tour manager Jake Berry adds, "It affects the tour schedule, read it whatever way you want."

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star NEAL MCDONOUGH is preparing to be a dad again - his wife is pregnant with the couple’s third child.

The actress has landed a deal with IDW Publishing for a her comic book series, The Music Box.
The story revolves around a possessed music box and the strange things that happen to those who come in contact with it.
She says, â��The chance to create my very own comic, and a horror/thriller at that, is like a very fun nightmare come true. Iâ��ve always been fascinated by the notion that an inanimate object can hold as much malevolent energy as a human being can. And when the two meet, or are at cross purposes, very bad things can happen. Iâ��m so proud of The Music Box and canâ��t wait for people to read it… with the lights on, of course!â�� The first issue of ten is scheduled to hit shelves this November (09).

BONES actor DAVID BOREANAZ apologised to fans for missing a comic convention at the weekend (24-26Jul09) by announcing the news he’ll soon be dad to a baby girl.
Boreanaz was forced to skip his trip to Comic-Con in San Diego, California because his wife Jaime Bergman is expecting their second child.
But he made up for his absence by taping a special video for the crowd.
He said in the clip, "Iâ��m a little bit stuck in Los Angeles due to the fact that my wife is on her 34th week (of pregnancy with) our second child. And Iâ��d like you to know that itâ��s going to be a girl.â�� The 40 year old was careful not to give too much away, adding: "Donâ��t ask me the name because Iâ��m not going to give out any of that personal information!" The couple’s new arrival is due in September (09) and will be a little sister to their seven-year-old son Jaden Rayne.

UGLY BETTY star ASHLEY JENSEN is expecting her first child - just months after her character on the hit U.S. show gave birth.
The Scottish actress, who shot to fame in Ricky Gervais’ Extras, is due to deliver her first tot with husband Terence Beesley in the autumn (09).

Former wrestler HULK HOGAN is celebrating the end of his troubled marriage after finally reaching a divorce settlement with estranged wife LINDA BOLLEA on Tuesday (28Jul09).
The couple, which split in 2007 after more than 20 years of marriage, returned to a Florida courtroom to sign off on their agreement after months of bitter legal wranglings.
The details of the settlement have not been released to the public but Hogan - real name Terry Bollea - insists he’s happy with the deal.
Speaking outside the courtroom, the retired sportsman told reporters, "I’m a free man." The divorce is expected to be finalised in the coming weeks.

JESSICA SIMPSON has been dealt another blow by her ex-boyfriend TONY ROMO - the sports star has reportedly banned the country singer from his home.
The pop star was dumped by the Dallas Cowboys quarterback on the eve of her 29th birthday earlier this month (10Jul09).
The 20-month romance came to an end after Romo reportedly found text messages from Simpson’s former love John Mayer on her cell phone.
And it seems he is making the split anything but amicable - he has put a sign on the gated entry of his home in Dallas, Texas, warning his former lover to keep out, according to Usweekly.com.

AMY WINEHOUSE’s ex-husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL has reportedly been forced back into a rehabilitation unit after failing a drugs test.
Fielder-Civil was sentenced to a 27-month stint in jail last July (08) after he was found guilty of grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice, in relation to a 2007 assault on a pub landlord.
He was released earlier this year (Feb09) and went straight into a rehab centre - and after successfully completing the programme he was told to continue with regular drug testing.
But Fielder-Civil, who has recently opened up about his failed marriage to the Back to Black singer, has reportedly been ordered to return to a medical centre after breaching his parole terms by failing his latest test.
A source tells Britain’s the Daily Mirror, "He has made much of trying to get his life back together but he’s back to his bad, old ways. Amy is so much better off without him.
"Blake goes on about Amy’s past drug habit but he needs to take a good, long look in the mirror himself." Fielder-Civil’s divorce from Winehouse was granted by a court judge earlier this month (Jul09) after she admitted cheating on him during their marriage.
