AKERMAN’S HUSBAND NOT A FAN OF ‘E.T.’ LOOK
Actress MALIN AKERMAN was subjected to ridicule by her husband when she had to shave off her eyebrows for new movie HAPPYTHANKYOUMOREPLEASE.
The Watchmen star, who wed Italian musician Roberto Zincone in 2007, donned a bald cap and took a razor to her eyebrows to portray a woman with hair loss condition alopecia in director Josh Radnor’s film.
But Swedish beauty Akerman admits her husband wasn’t as sympathetic to her movie look as she thought he’d be - and compared her to Steven Spielberg’s famous alien character instead.
She tells the New York Daily News, "I wear a bald cap for the role, too. I sent the picture to my husband and he was like, ‘E.T. - come home!’"
