SECOND DOCTOR RAIDED BY JACKSON COPS
A second doctor’s clinic has been raided by police investigating the death of MICHAEL JACKSON - the star’s skin doctor ARNOLD KLEIN is to be investigated.
The offices of the King of Pop’s personal physician Dr. Conrad Murray were targeted by drug cops on Wednesday (22Jul09) as part of their ongoing investigation into the superstar’s death.
Now officers have swooped on Klein’s place of work, after it was revealed Jackson’s mother, Katherine, pressed for the probe to be widened to include a second, unidentified medic.
Medical records were seized from Klein’s offices earlier this week (beg20Jul09), which showed he had treated the star with large amounts of the painkiller Demerol and once gave him four times the daily maximum recommended amount of the drug in 1993.
Jackson’s close friend and former plastic surgeon, Dr Steven Hoefflin, says, "I had no idea Michael was being given this insane amount of Demerol… I feel Dr Klein was overtreating him to make money. I have launched a lawsuit against Dr Klein for fraud. It is my opinion that he got my patient addicted to Demerol." Hoefflin also insists several other doctors could be quizzed by cops over Jackson’s death, adding: "A further eight could stand to lose their medical licences if found to have prescribed drugs inappropriately."
