ANDRE SUING WIFE PRICE
Aussie singer PETER ANDRE is taking legal action against estranged wife KATIE PRICE - after she hinted he was unfaithful during their three-year marriage.
The couple separated in May (09) after a series of furious rows and both have since appeared in U.K. magazines and TV shows talking about the break-up.
Former glamour model Price appeared on British morning show GMTV on Thursday (23Jul09) - and suggested Andre may not have been entirely devoted to her.
Asked by presenter Ben Shephard if the Mysterious Girl hitmaker had ever strayed during their marriage, Price replied, "Anyway, next question." Probed further about whether Andre had been unfaithful to her, she responded, "I don’t know. Was he? I never said anything. Well, you know when you split up with someone you hear things, so who knows what’s true, what’s not? But as far as I know I think he was faithful." Andre was left fuming when he saw the interview - and has consulted lawyers about Price’s comments.
A spokeswoman for the singer tells Sky News, "The only thing I can say is that Peter is taking legal action." In his weekly magazine column - published before Price’s remarks - Andre insisted he was always faithful to his wife.
He writes in Britain’s new! magazine, "I can hold my head up high and say I’ve been 100 per cent faithful throughout my marriage and still am. Any reports suggesting otherwise are totally hurtful and false."
