TWILIGHT CAST SURPRISE AT COMIC-CON

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:51 pm

ROBERT PATTINSON turned the tables on TWILIGHT fans during a public interview session at a comic convention in California on Thursday (23Jul09) by posing questions to the audience instead.
The hunky actor joined co-stars including Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Peter Facinelli at San Diego’s Comic-Con for a question and answer session, but Pattinson decided to take control and turn interviewer, much to the crowd’s delight.
Stepping up to the microphone, Pattinson sent the audience into a screaming frenzy when he singled out one girl in the room and asked, "What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever been asked by a fan?" Stewart joined in the fun too and turned to their co-star Nikki Reed, asking, "Were you worried about meeting the expectations of the characters?" But that wasn’t all - the actors, who recently wrapped filming on Twilight sequel New Moon, also treated fans at Comic-Con to a sneak peek of the movie.

ACTRESS HENDRIX KNEW LOHAN WOULD BE TROUBLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:48 pm

LINDSAY LOHAN’s THE PARENT TRAP co-star ELAINE HENDRIX has blamed the actress’ "tumultuous family dynamic" for her rocky personal life - insisting she always knew troubles would follow the star.
Hendrix worked with the then-budding young star on the hit 1998 Disney film - when Lohan was just 12 years old - and even then she knew the pre-teen was set for tough times.
Lohan went on to star in a string of successful films, including 2004’s Mean Girls, but her promising career has been marred by a string of drink driving charges and allegations of excess boozing and partying.
Hendrix reveals that from what she saw of Lohan’s family, she was convinced the talented young actress would have difficulty adapting to life in Hollywood.
She tells Fox News, "I didn’t know she was going to be the next big thing, but it’s not really a surprise that she is where she is. She’s extremely talented, but she has a tumultuous family dynamic happening, so it’s not really a surprise she is where she is.
"Growing up having the experiences she’s had, those things affect her behaviour and her decisions.â€

MILLS DENIES ‘CANCER’ COMMENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:48 pm

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s ex-wife HEATHER MILLS has accused a British newspaper of fabricating quotes in a recent interview - insisting her controversial comments about cancer were all "lies".
Mills took aim at Britain’s tabloid media in an interview which ran in The Observer at the weekend (18-19Jul09).
She was quoted as saying, "Certain journalists have written horrible things, and then they’ve got cancer, or they’ve had a tumour, or they’ve died. And it’s terrible for them, but they’ve done really evil things. I truly believe things come back round." But Mills insists she never made the comments - because she would never be so blase about such a deadly disease.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, the former glamour girl writes, "Having lost my best friend to breast cancer, I cannot believe anybody would believe the moronic so-called journalists who say this! Can I reiterate for the gullible that believe lies in the press, I have never said I hope anybody dies of cancer ever." Mills has endured a volatile relationship with the press since her messy split from McCartney in 2006.
She has accused the U.K. tabloid media of vilifying her, insisting she received "worse press than a paedophile or a murderer".

STREEP AND TUCCI ARGUE ‘LIKE MARRIED PEOPLE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:45 pm

Veteran actress MERYL STREEP had no problem playing STANLEY TUCCI’s wife in new movie JULIE & JULIA because the old friends have been arguing "like married people" for years.
The Devil Wears Prada star portrays 1960s culinary queen Julia Child in the biopic, with Tucci as her spouse Paul Child.
The pair meet up for frequent social gatherings and their annual game of Christmas charades, where they are constantly pitted against one another.
Streep, who has been married to sculptor Don Gummer for 31 years, admits their deep friendship and her admiration for his film work helped her to slip into the role as Tucci’s on-screen wife with ease.
She tells WENN, "Stanley and I are always on opposite sides in a very famous charades game during Christmas. We’ve been at each other’s throats like married people for a long time, many years and we knew each other in that way.
"I’ve been in love with him from a far anyway with the totality of the man from Big Night to his directing work, in every way. It wasn’t a tough job imagining being in love with him." And the Oscar winner reveals Tucci is a wonder in the kitchen: "I once invited him over for dinner (to bond) with (his wife) Kate and I decided I’d make blanket de foie and it was not quite done when they arrived and so Stanley came in and completely took over the kitchen. We didn’t eat until 11pm!"

WYATT GOES SOLO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 10:42 pm

PUSSYCAT DOLLS star KIMBERLY WYATT is set to launch a solo career - she is working on her own album.
The singer recently complained her role in the girl group has been over-shadowed by lead vocalist Nicole Scherzinger, accusing music bosses of neglecting the rest of the band by pushing her to the front.
Scherzinger began recording her own solo album, Her Name Is Nicole, in 2006 but the record was put on hold so she could focus on her work with the Pussycat Dolls.
Wyatt is also determined to fulfil her solo ambitions but has vowed to retain her place in the girl band.
She says, "It’s a dance pop record and I’m so excited by it. It’s not the end of the band, though. It’s the foundation for all solo projects. We are all independent girls, but will always be Pussycat Dolls as well." Wyatt’s plans don’t end there - she is also plotting a career in film.
She adds, "I loved movies like Flashdance and Fame as a kid and I’m glad people are loving dance again. My dream is to star in my own dance movie."
