TV star DYLAN MCDERMOTT has vowed not to date another celebrity - six months after finalising his divorce from his ex-wife, actress SHIVA ROSE.
The former couple, who share two children, ended their 13-year union in January (09).
McDermott admits being newly-single has forced him to re-evaluate his priorities - and the actor insists he has no time for a partner who shares his demanding work schedule.
He tells the New York Post, "For a 6am shooting call, I’m up 4am. You have to dedicate your whole life to it. No time for anything else. With 16-hour days, to schedule your dentist you need to wait until hiatus.
"I’m transitioning. Right now it’s work work work. I doubt I’d marry anybody in the business again. Our lifestyles are fantasy, not reality. You get out of touch with the real world. Although living alone and taking out the garbage does keep you grounded."

HARRY POTTER star JAMIE WAYLETT has pleaded guilty to illegally growing marijuana.
The 19-year-old actor, who plays Vincent Crabbe in the wizard franchise, was arrested in April (09) after cops allegedly found him driving with eight bags of marijuana in his car.
Authorities then ordered a raid on the his mother’s home in Camden, North London, where they were said to have found ten cannabis plants at the property.
The 19-year-old was summoned to appear in court and subsequently charged with growing cannabis plants.
Thursday’s (16Jul09) hearing, which took place in London at Westminster Magistrate’s Court, was adjourned until 21 July (09).
Waylett faces a maximum sentence of 14 years behind bars for production of a Class-B drug.

Actor THOMAS JANE has left question marks hanging over the full extent of his reconciliation with wife PATRICIA ARQUETTE after appearing on U.S. TV without his wedding ring.
Arquette cited "irreconcilable differences" when she filed for divorce in January (09), but the pair reunited just weeks later and hosted a party at their Los Angeles home together.
Earlier this month (Jul09), the actress formally asked an L.A. court to dismiss her petition to end their two-year marriage after the stars decided to give their union another go.
But Jane cast doubt on how well the marriage reconciliation was going when he featured on daytime talk show The View on Thursday (16Jul09) and failed to sport his wedding band.
However, The Punisher star made sure he remained in Arquette’s good books by praising her as "an amazing woman".

RYAN O’NEAL has thanked organisers of the 2009 Primetime Emmy Awards for nominating his beloved partner FARRAH FAWCETT for her work on a documentary of the cancer battle that claimed her life.
The iconic actress, who shared 24-year-old son Redmond O’Neal with the actor, lost her battle with anal cancer on 25 June (09), aged 62.
She received her fourth Emmy nomination on Thursday (16Jul09) when she was recognised as an executive producer of her documentary Farrah’s Story, which followed the Charlie’s Angel as she attempted to seek out new treatments in a bid to prolong her life.
And O’Neal is grateful to Emmy officials for her posthumous honour.
O’Neal says, "For the Television Academy to recognise Farrah’s Story with this nomination is such a wonderful acknowledgement for Farrah and her legacy. I know that she is smiling that fabulous smile right now in heaven, and that she is grateful that the show has been so well received not only by her peers in the industry but by the public at large." Fawcett’s previous nominations were for her roles in 1984’s The Burning Bed, 1989 film Small Sacrifices and The Guardian in 2004.

AMY WINEHOUSE faces paying her ex-husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL $3.6 million (£2.4 million) as a divorce settlement - after she admitted cheating on him during their marriage.
The Back to Black hitmaker’s two-year union with Fielder-Civil was ended at London’s High Court on Thursday (16Jul09) when a judge granted the couple a decree nisi.
It means if no further evidence is submitted to the court within the next six weeks, their divorce will be formally rubber-stamped.
Fielder-Civil filed for divorce in January (09), citing Winehouse’s adultery after he saw pictures of her cavorting with another man on holiday in St Lucia.
And after Thursday’s hearing, it emerged Winehouse had confessed to cheating on her husband - eight months before the divorce petition was lodged.
In court papers, Fielder-Civil is asked to outline his reasons for the divorce, and states: "The respondent confessed the adultery to me in April 2008." In a separate document, Winehouse is asked: "Do you admit the adultery alleged in the petition?", and answers: "Yes." No name is given for the person she had an affair with.
Fielder-Civil, who now lives in Nottinghamshire, England, also states he finds it "intolerable" living with the singer, and they have not shared a home since April 2008.
Winehouse, who has an estimated $15 million (£10 million) fortune, has agreed to pay for the cost of the divorce proceedings.

ASHTON KUTCHER is recovering from a ruptured eardrum after he was hospitalised in the Bahamas earlier this month (07Jul09) during shooting for his new movie FIVE KILLERS.
The actor was filming scenes for the action comedy in Nassau with co-star Katherine Heigl when he complained of a severe headache.
He took a break from shooting but worried crewmembers admitted him to a nearby medical centre when they noticed he had a bloody ear, reports the National Enquirer.
Doctors diagnosed the problem and treated Kutcher as his wife Demi Moore dashed to his bedside.
But she was relieved to find he was back to his comedic self by the time she arrived, joking around with medical staff and film assistants.
A source tells the tabloid, "When Ashton saw Demi, he said cheerfully, ‘Hi, honey! I’m fine. Come join the party!’" Medics gave the former That ’70s Show star the all-clear and he was allowed to fly to Georgia to finish working on Five Killers.
And Kutcher refused to let his injury hold up production on the movie. The insider adds, "Ashton was a trouper. He didn’t even miss a day of filming."

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is still laughing off reports he died and was replaced in THE BEATLES by a lookalike - 40 years after the rumours first surfaced.
The Fab Four were photographed walking along a pedestrian crossing on the legendary cover of their 1969 album Abbey Road.
McCartney’s barefoot appearance in the photo sparked wild rumours the rocker had died in a car crash - and the 67 year old admits he still has to reassure some fans he’s not an impostor.
He explains, "The idea was to walk across the crossing, and I showed up that day with sandals, flip-flops. It was so hot that I kicked them off and walked across barefooted, and this started some rumour that because he’s barefooted, he’s dead. I couldn’t see the connection.
"I just laughed. I knew (it was) because of the fame and the craziness… But it was a bit strange, because people started to look at me like, ‘Is it really him or a very good double?’ No, this is him!"

WHITNEY HOUSTON enjoyed a warm welcome upon landing in London - the superstar was given a private shopping spree in the world’s largest fashion store.

A source tells Britain’s London Lite newspaper, "Whitney grabbed bags and bags of stuff, but only chose one item of clothing for herself. She was overheard saying her daughter likes Topshop, so chose everything for her - except for a Union Jack cardigan for herself.
"Whitney looked ecstatic, and happily posed with staff for pictures and signed autographs for them.
"Sir Philip gave all of the staff crisp £50 notes as a thank you for staying on."

WHITNEY HOUSTON was so terrified of showcasing her new album at a launch party, she hid in another room until the entire CD had played.

Indie rockers THE RAPTURE are on the hunt for a new bass player, after MATTIE SAFER quit the band.
Safer, who shared vocal duties with guitarist Luke Jenner, left the New York-based group in April (09), but his departure has only just been officially announced by his bandmates.
A blog on The Rapture’s website reads, "We are sad to see him go but it seems it is the best for all of us." But the group - comprising of Jenner, Vito Roccoforte, and Gabriel Andruzzi - is looking to the future of the band: "Since then Luke, Vito and I (Gabriel) have been on a creative tear. We’ve been working out of our little Brooklyn make shift studio, writing, demoing and jamming. I’m pretty damn excited to share the fruits of our labor with you. Actress RASHIDA JONES is appealing to her music mogul dad QUINCY JONES to finally unveil his Broadway show - because she wants to make her New York stage debut in the play.
The producer revealed last month (Jun09) he’s close to launching his work The Genesis and Evolution of Jazz and Blues as a theatre production and 3-D Pixar film - 33 years after conceiving the project.
And Rashida is eyeing a role in the play - but would happily look for another part on Broadway if her father’s production falls through.
She tells the New York Daily News, "I would definitely do it. I was thinking about doing Broadway anyway, but doing his show would just sweeten the deal."

MICKEY ROURKE is eyeing a move back to his native New York - the actor is reportedly on the hunt for a new home in Manhattan.
The Wrestler star, who grew up in Schenectady County but now lives in Los Angeles, rents two floors of a brownstone building in the West Village when he visits the Big Apple.
According to the New York Post, Rourke is now looking for a larger, pet-friendly apartment with outdoor space where he can settle - and has his eyes on a four-storey, 3,000-square-foot townhouse in the area.
Rourke’s real-estate broker had no comment.

Actress MINNIE DRIVER is urging Americans to take better care of the planet as the new face of a wildlife conservation campaign.
The Good Will Hunting star is passionate about marine life and spent the month of June (09) looking after distressed seals and sea lions at the Marine Mammal Center in California.
The experience prompted her to lend her name to Everyday Wildlife Champions, an initiative aimed at rescuing marine wildlife launched by bosses at U.S. soap firm Dawn.
And as Dawn’s new spokesperson, she wants to use her name to encourage fans to support the cause by making donations to the centre or volunteering their time.
She says, "I was raised to believe that we are custodians of this planet.
"We just have to remember that we’re at the top of the food chain. And as Spiderman says, ‘With power comes great responsibility.’ I don’t know why I quoted Spider-Man there, but it seems quite appropriate. We’ve got to do stuff or our kids are not going to have animals left or any oceans that we can swim in."

MICHAEL JACKSON’s father JOE has blamed his son’s aides and guards for turning the superstar into a recluse like the obsessive compulsive aviator HOWARD HUGHES.
The Jackson clan patriarch claims he desperately tried to reach out to his son in the years before his death - but was banned by the Thriller icon’s minders from making contact.
And he insists it was that group of employees who turned his son into a hermit like eccentric Hughes, who suffered a nervous breakdown while wasting away in his mansion.
He says, "His relationship was different because he was protected by the security guards. It was not only me but Katherine too. They treated him just like they did Howard Hughes.
"I knew the people weren’t treating him right in the beginning but there was nothing I could do, he was his own man. All of them were cheating him." The pop superstar passed away in his Holmby Hills home on 25 June (09) after suffering a cardiac arrest.

Police probing MICHAEL JACKSON’s death have asked California’s attorney general JERRY BROWN to check out "dozens" of names of doctors and possible aliases the star used to obtain drugs.
Cops have a list of identities they want to run through Brown’s office database to piece together just how many prescription medications the King of Pop had access to.
Officials at the attorney general’s department monitor all over-the-counter pharmacy transactions in Los Angeles, and police hope the files will provide key evidence to nail any potential wrongdoing leading up to Jackson’s death last month (Jun09).
The names passed to Brown include several doctors and a list of Jackson’s aliases. Any information that emerges from Brown’s checks will be passed to the police and other agencies investigating the tragedy, including the Drug Enforcement Administration.
But Brown is refusing to disclose details of his findings so far, saying: "We’ve found some things, but this is early on."

MICHAEL JACKSON’s brother TITO has blasted reports their father JOE is grooming his grandchildren to become a new version of THE JACKSON 5.
Joe, who masterminded Michael’s early career, was reportedly gearing up to transform Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II aka Blanket, seven, into an all-singing, all-dancing pop group called the Jackson Three.
Speculation grew after the Jackson clan patriarch told reporters, "I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something… (and) Blanket can really dance." But the Thriller icon’s older brother Tito insists his father has no plans to force the youngsters into performing.
He says, "My father has no intentions whatsoever of turning Michael’s kids into a singing group. He’s been there, done that already. Michael’s kids are going to be allowed to be pretty much what they want to be, as long as it’s beneficial to themselves and to the world. They are not going to be pushed into becoming performers." But the second oldest Jackson son admits that if the children want to become singers like their father, they will be allowed to pursue that dream: "If it’s natural, then maybe they will. Blanket is the one I can see it happening to. He is so like Michael."
