LAPD DENY JACKSON INVESTIGATION IS HOMICIDE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:00 am

Police in Los Angeles have shot down reports MICHAEL JACKSON’s death has turned into a homicide investigation.
On Wednesday (15Jul09), it was alleged the King of Pop’s sudden passing on 25 June (09) was being treated as murder as speculation mounted over how the singer came to have so many strong painkillers prescribed to him by his doctors.
Website TMZ.com cited law enforcement sources who claimed Jackson’s personal medic, Dr. Conrad Murray, was facing further questioning as he became the "focus" of the investigation, while the star’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, was also under close observation.
The publication went on to state: "The evidence points to the anaesthesia Propofol as the primary cause of Jackson’s death." But a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department has denied they are looking into the "ongoing" case as a homicide.
When news show Access Hollywood asked Officer Tenesh Dobine, "So you are saying this is not a homicide investigation?", the cop replied, "That’s right." Murray’s attorney has confirmed the news, telling the programme, "Investigators have not told us this is a homicide investigation." And Klein’s legal team has also weighed in on the topic. In a statement released on Wednesday, attorney Richard L. Charnley says, "The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that Arnold Klein, MD is not a subject of the investigation into the death of his treasured friend and patient Michael Jackson." The news comes just days after both Jackson’s father, Joe, and his sister, La Toya, claimed the Thriller star’s death was suspicious, with La Toya telling a British tabloid, "I can… say that I have not changed my mind about my feeling that Michael was murdered."
