The Transformers hunk spends his spare time hand-crafting necklaces and gems for friends and family, and even wears his own designs.
Duhamel has been spotted sporting a pendant he made to represent his union with his singer wife Fergie.
When asked about the piece he wears, he explained, "It’s this gold charm with an F and a J intertwined (for Fergie and Josh). I made it.
"I once took a class in college, got all the carving tools, did wax casting. Now I make gifts. It�s fun, like whittling."

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE star JANE KACZMAREK has blasted rumours she’s fighting for full custody of her kids with her estranged husband, former WEST WING actor BRADLEY WHITFORD.
After the couple ended its 16-year marriage earlier this year (09), it was reported the 53-year-old actress wanted their three children to live with her full time.
The gossip prompted Kaczmarek to speak out and insist the break-up was amicable and custody will be split 50-50.
Her lawyer tells Us Weekly magazine, "We’re gearing towards a 50-50 time share with the children. I don’t anticipate any fighting."

Emmy-winning television and film director TODD HOLLAND has apologised for encouraging gay actors to "stay in the closet" at a Los Angeles gay and lesbian film festival.
The Wizard director caused an uproar during a panel discussion at last weekend’s (begs11Jul09) Outfest Film Festival, when he encouraged young, gay male actors to hide their sexual preference in order to maintain success in Hollywood.
Gay rights activists reached out to Holland, who has now issued an apology through GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) to clarify his position.
The statement reads: "As an openly gay man in Hollywood, I know first hand the tremendous challenges that people throughout the industry face in terms of being open about who they are. For people who know me, they know that I believe it’s important for people to live openly and authentically, and I am sorry for my poorly chosen words at Outfest. At the end of the day, I hope my comments do not prevent us from having honest, thoughtful conversations about the significant barriers that make being an out actor in Hollywood an ongoing obstacle."

Actress JANE FONDA has taken her relationship with music producer RICHARD PERRY to the next level - the pair has moved in together, according to U.S. reports.
Rumours surfaced last week (begs06Jul09) alleging the duo was romantically involved after Fonda and Perry were reportedly seen "all over each other all night" while celebrating singer Robbie Robertson’s birthday in Los Angeles’ Sunset Tower Bar.
According to New York Post’s gossip column Page Six, the pair has been "inseparable" since, and are now sharing a home.
A source says, "Jane has been attending almost every rehearsal with him." A spokesperson for Fonda had not responded to requests for a comment as WENN went to press.

BRITNEY SPEARS has apologised to fans in Poland after axing her upcoming tour stop in the country’s capital.
The pop star has been performing in Europe with her hit live show Circus, which was scheduled to stop in Warsaw on 24 July (09).
But the 27 year old was forced to cancel the concert after her management team failed to resolve a contractual dispute, according to a statement released by her publicist on Wednesday (15Jul09).
It reads, "Britney regrets that she will not be visiting Polandâ��s capital during her world tour. She apologises to all her loyal fans for the cancellation and hopes to visit the culturally exciting city of Warsaw in the near future." Spears’ Polish show would have been her penultimate performance on the continent.
The Toxic star ends the European leg of her jaunt in Berlin, Germany on 26 July (09) before taking the concert back to North America, where it kicked off.

A former art dealer at the centre of a multi-million dollar fraud inquiry has been hit with new charges - including ripping off the estate of ROBERT DE NIRO’s late father.
Lawrence Salander, an ex gallery owner, is accused of swindling millions from investors and clients, and was charged with grand larceny, securities fraud, forgery, falsifying business records, and perjury in March (09).
Salander was released on bail but surrendered to authorities earlier this week (begs12Jul09) to face fresh charges of grand larceny in relation to claims he pocketed more than $1 million (£666,665) from the sale of paintings by Robert De Niro, Sr. without passing the money on to his estate.
Salander pleaded not guilty when he appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court in New York on Tuesday (14Jul09).
His lawyer Charles Ross has stated Salander will "vigorously defend against these charges in court".
De Niro, Sr. died of cancer in 1993, aged 71.

Pop star JESSICA SIMPSON’s romance with TONY ROMO collapsed when he found text messages from her ex-lover JOHN MAYER on her cell phone, according to new reports.
The couple is alleged to have split last week when the Dallas Cowboys quarterback ended the 20-month relationship on the eve of Simpson’s 29th birthday on Friday (10Jul09).
The stars have yet to confirm the break-up claims - but reports suggest Romo dumped the singer when he discovered she was still in touch with rocker Mayer, from whom she split in 2007.
A source tells RadarOnline.com, "They (Simpson and Romo) were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic. He dumped her right then. He walked out and that was it."

Producers of HUGH JACKMAN and DANIEL CRAIG’s new Broadway show A STEADY RAIN are feeling the effects of the worldwide credit crunch - ticket discounts for top talent agents have been banned.
The 007 star will make his Broadway debut opposite seasoned theatre star Jackman on 10 September (09) in the dramatic play - about a pair of police officers whose friendship is strained when they mistakenly return a Vietnamese boy to a cannibalistic serial killer.
According to the New York Post, agents are in uproar after receiving a memo indicating a new policy restricts sales to not-for-profit organisations, and bans discounts and commissions for theatre talent agents during the 12-week run.
One broker tells the newspaper, "Business is bad enough these days be cause of the economy. This will choke us further."

Action star HUGH JACKMAN is trading in his WOLVERINE claws for makeup puffs to play a top-selling cosmetic salesman in new film AVON MAN.
Jackman has signed a "high-six-figure deal" with 20th Century Fox for the comedy, which follows a group of car salesmen who are laid off and use their charms to woo women into buying Avon makeup, reports Daily Variety.
The actor will also produce the film with his Seed Productions partner John Palermo and Krasnoff Foster Entertainment’s Gary Foster.
Production schedules have yet to be released.

WHITNEY HOUSTON has music mogul CLIVE DAVIS to thank for pushing her back into the spotlight - because she was ready to quit music for good when her mentor came calling.
The legendary diva is preparing for the release of her highly-anticipated comeback album, I Look to You, this summer (Aug/Sep09) - her first album in six years.
But she admits the project almost never materialised because she had her sights set on hanging up the microphone and retreating to a tropical paradise away from the limelight.
She says, "When Clive called me I was pretty ready to buy my island home (and retire), but he said, ‘No, you’re going to sing again, people want to hear you.’" Davis managed to convince Houston to return to the recording studio, and she’s glad she did because the album fast became her "labour of love".
At the world premiere of the disc in London on Tuesday (14Jul09), Houston told the gathered media, "I hope that these songs stay with you for a lifetime." I Look to You will hit store shelves in the U.S. on 1 September (09), while U.K. fans will be able to buy the record a day earlier (31Aug09).
Houston will make her return to the stage in September (09) when she plays a free televised concert for U.S. breakfast show Good Morning America in New York City. An exact date and location have yet to be confirmed.

Welsh singer TOM JONES was once shot at by legendary music producer JOE MEEK - because his band was performing Meek’s tracks so badly.
Jones rose to fame as frontman for The Senators in the 1960s, and the band was recording songs with Meek at his London studio when the notoriously volatile producer snapped.
He stormed into the recording booth and demanded: "Play it how I want it!" then fired off a round - sending the terrified musicians diving for cover.
The Senators’ bassist Vernon Hopkins says, "We were doing a session and Meek came storming in yelling that we were doing it wrong. Suddenly he aims a pistol at us and fires it - bang! We all scattered but it turned out to have just been a starting pistol. However, we did whatever he wanted after that!"

Rapper THE GAME’s upcoming concert in Rotorua, New Zealand will feature a strong police presence - because locals have expressed fears for "community safety".
The Dreams hitmaker - real name Jayceon Taylor - is scheduled to play in the city on 15 August (09) as part of his global tour.
But his criminal past, affiliation to Los Angeles’ notorious Bloods gang, and controversial lyrics have attracted concerns from Rotorua residents, who are anxious the hip-hop star’s performance will draw a rowdy crowd.
So the local police force is planning a special operation which will see an increased number of officers on duty in a bid to deter fans from causing a disturbance.
Rotorua Commander Bruce Horne says, "I understand (the) concerns of a lot of people. We know from experience having these sorts of performers is not helpful in terms of community safety.
"His message is a very bad one. He is certainly not someone I would be promoting as a role model for our young people. In fact, he is quite the opposite. He encourages them to get themselves into trouble." But The Game will try to win over locals when he flies into the country by visiting at least one high school to motivate students and prove he is a "positive role model for youth", according to the Australian promoter behind the gig.

OZZY OSBOURNE’s longtime guitarist ZAKK WYLDE has played down rumours of a rift with the Prince of Darkness, insisting everything is fine between the pair.
The former Black Sabbath frontman is working on a new solo album, and recently revealed he was looking to create a fresh sound with the help of Rob Zombie’s axeman, Johnny 5.
He told Classic Rock magazine, "I’m getting a new guitar player as we speak, and everyone has been saying to me for a long time, ‘Get Johnny 5!’…
"I haven’t fallen out with Zakk, but Zakk’s got his own band, and I felt like my stuff was beginning to sound like Black Label Society. I just felt like I wanted a change, you know?" The news came as a surprise to Wylde - who joined Osbourne’s band in 1987 - because he had no idea he’d been sidelined.
Writing on his Twitter.com blog on Monday (13Jul09), Wylde said, "This is news to me. I haven’t heard anything about this. Until I talk to the Boss, I don’t know. I love Ozzy." But the pair has now cleared up their differences and Wylde has assured fans all issues have been resolved.

A lawyer for the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE has protested his innocence against charges of embezzling $150,000 (£100,000) from a union representing dancers and stagehands at the famed company.
Leonard Leibowitz, 70, is accused of forging signatures and writing cheques from the Independent Artists of America union to himself, his wife, and his law firm between 1997 and 2005.
He was arrested and charged with one count of embezzlement of union funds on Tuesday (14Jul09).
Following a hearing in Manhattan federal court, Leibowitz�s lawyer Stephen Flamhaft told reporters, �I think we will be able, after dialogue with the government, to resolve this.� Leibowitz faces up to five years in prison if convicted.

Actress NIA LONG has slammed pop stars who launch a movie career - insisting they should stick to singing.
The Big Momma’s House actress has hit out at multi-talented stars like Beyonce Knowles who have swapped the recording studio for a film set.
She is adamant it’s wrong for singers to make the move into cinema - because they’re simply utilised to draw a bigger audience.
Asked by British magazine Pride what she thought of Knowles’ acting abilities, Long said: "I didnâ��t see Obsessed, so I canâ��t comment, but itâ��s just not about how talented you are anymore. Itâ��s about, â��How much box office revenue will this person generate?â�� When you see certain people - we wonâ��t name names - they just donâ��t have the skill, and no one in their team has said, â��You need acting classes’.
"If you�re a singer not an actress, you should sing. If you�re a rapper, you should rap. If you take time to develop your craft, God bless you. Jamie Foxx is an example of both (actor and singer).�

Hollywood legend ROBERT REDFORD has reportedly married his long-term partner SIBYLLE SZAGGARS in a ceremony in her native Germany.
The veteran actor, 72, tied the knot with abstract painter Szaggars, 51, in front of 30 family and friends at a hotel in Hamburg on Saturday (11Jul09), according to local church officials whose pastor presided over the wedding.
The couple lives together in Sundance, Utah where the actor’s annual film festival is held.
Redford has three children from his previous marriage to Lola Redford in 1958, which ended in divorce in 1985.

KANYE WEST’s protege MR HUDSON refused to let anything stand in the way of his first U.S. gig - he had a steroid shot in the bottom so he could take to the stage after falling ill.
The British singer, who is signed to West’s music label, has taken his native U.K. by storm, performing around the country with the Stronger hitmaker by his side.
And the musician couldn’t wait to perform in front of an American crowd in Los Angeles - but was left devastated when he woke up with a painful sore throat.
But Mr Hudson manged to keep to his schedule - and struggled through with the help of steroids.
He told the crowd at L.A.’s Troubadour venue on Monday (13Jul09), "I woke up with razor blades in my throat thinking this (show) wasn’t going to happen. But I went to see a guy in a white coat in Beverly Hills and here I am.

MICHAEL JACKSON’s children PARIS and PRINCE MICHAEL will be asked who they want to live with if their mother DEBBIE ROWE pursues a custody claim.
The King of Pop’s mum Katherine was made temporary guardian of Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, aka Blanket, after the superstar died last month (Jun09).
A hearing is scheduled to take place on 20 July (09) for Judge Mitch Beckloff to begin deliberating who should win custody rights amid Rowe’s announcement she will try to regain control of the two eldest kids.
The youngsters will be interviewed in private by family law specialists to see who they want to live with, according to a lawyer who is a close associate of the judge.
Attorney Neal Hersh tells U.S. talk show host Larry King, "(The judge) is very, very concerned with children’s welfare, the best interests of the children. That’s going to be his primary focus.
"There’s no doubt in my mind this judge will not have the children spoken to in the public forum. I don’t think he’ll do it (talk to the kids) directly. He’ll either do it through a mental health professional or through an attorney for the children. Basically, they have more time with the child, the children at issue. And they can get more information than he can." Attorney Jim Moret adds that while the children will most likely not attend the hearing, they will be interviewed because they are old enough to have an opinion on who should be their guardian.
He tells King, "(A judge will) talk to the children, either directly or through counsel, because they’re 11, 12 and seven. The 11 and 12 year olds are the ones at issue here. They’re old enough to have an opinion. You’re going to listen to them." Rowe will not battle for Jackson’s youngest son Blanket, whose biological mother was an anonymous donor.
