DAMON LAUNCHES NEW CAMPAIGN FOR CLEAN WATER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:00 am

MATT DAMON has launched a new charity drive to provide millions of impoverished people with clean drinking water.
The Bourne Ultimatum actor has co-founded Water.org in collaboration with humanitarian Gary White.
Damon’s existing water charity, H20 Africa, will merge with White’s WaterPartners to become one non-profit organisation.
The star’s aim is to try and provide access to clean water to 890 million people across Africa and Asia.
And Damon insists it was his heart-wrenching visits to the world’s poorest countries that made him realise the importance of having drinkable water.
He says, "Every 15 seconds, a child in the developing world dies from water-related disease. After visiting project sites in Africa and Asia with Gary, I’ve seen the problem and the impact of safe water."
