The Beatles legend was kicking off his North American trek with a show in Nova Scotia, Canada when he spotted a sign in the crowd that read, "Sign my arm so I can get a tattoo?" McCartney invited the excited young girl up on stage and autographed her shoulder with a marker pen, sending her into a frenzy as she ran around hugging all the band members and shrieking, "Oh my God!" The rocker then told the girl, "You’d better get it done now!" as the crowd cheered.

AEROSMITH rocker JOE PERRY performed a little voluntary community service on Saturday (11Jul09) when he spent the day picking up trash from the waters near his home in Florida.
The guitarist and his wife Billie found themselves with time to kill after Aerosmith cancelled a concert in Tampa to allow frontman Steven Tyler to recover from a leg injury - and they decided to help clean up the neighbourhood’s waterways.
The Perrys donned diving gear and joined 80 other conservationists in the day-long trash trawl.
The rocker admits he was looking for something worthwhile to do on his day off and read an article about the dive in a local publication.
He admits he can’t believe what rubbish he found dumped in the waters: "There’s everything from a big chunk of fibreglass to 20 feet of rope on an anchor… You can’t just throw stuff off the side of the boat."

THE KILLERS plan to turn their live shows into a Las Vegas-style revue - complete with comedy from British funnyman JIMMY CARR.
The Mr. Brightside hitmakers hope to expand their concerts with more variety, and top of their list is a comedian to warm up the audience before the band takes to the stage.
Frontman Brandon Flowers tells U.K. tabloid The Sun, "We had met Jimmy before, at a Comic Relief gig, then we bumped into him again at a party a couple of weeks ago.
"We were just throwing ideas around and having a comedian as part of the show sounded like a Las Vegas thing to do - it used to be common in the 60s and 70s. Jimmy seemed to like it so we are giving it a go."

THE STREETS will split up at the end of next year (10), according to frontman MIKE SKINNER.
The Dry Your Eyes hitmakers will be releasing a new album in 2010 called Computers and Blues.
The rapper has previously insisted it will be their last record - and he confirmed the split with an announcement during the band’s set at the weekend’s (11Jul-12Jul09) T In The Park festival in Scotland.
He says, "Next year is probably going to be the last year for The Streets." Skinner is set to swap music for film-making when he leaves the group after honing his skills compiling the group’s music videos.

JAY-Z and CIARA were forced to cancel a concert in Atlanta on Sunday (12Jul09) after a thunderstorm ripped through the city.
The pair is currently touring together and was due to perform at the Chastain Park Amphitheater, an outside venue.
But scores of fans were left disappointed when Jay-Z was unable to get to the gig because his private plane could not travel through the lightning.
An hour after the concert was due to start, an announcement was made confirming the cancellation, according to AllHipHop.com. The show has been rescheduled for next month (13Aug09).

Seventies pop idol DAVID CASSIDY has former FRIENDS star LISA KUDROW to thank for his teen success - she fronted an unofficial fan club.
The actress admits she was a huge devotee of the singer growing up, and after he replied to a fan letter from her, she set out to bring all his young supporters together.
She explains, "I started a fan club for him. I wrote away for photos and then I asked the girls to come over after school. They each had to give me a nickel to cover the cost for the refreshments and photos.
"Mothers would drop their girls off and say, ‘I just want to thank you so much for doing this.’"

SEX AND THE CITY star CHRIS NOTH is paying tribute to his late father - he has agreed to promote life insurance awareness in the U.S.
Noth was nine years old when his dad Charles, an insurance salesman, lost his life in a car crash, leaving his mother Jeanne to support the family and put Noth and his brothers through college on her husband’s policy.
Now the star has agreed to become the spokesperson for Life Insurance Awareness Month in September (09) to encourage Americans to take care of their loved ones by investing in insurance policies.
He says, "I know from personal experience that life insurance can be the bedrock of a family’s financial security."

Producers of TV’s GOSSIP GIRL are furious after bosses at U.S. retail chain Target pulled out of a deal to sell designer ANNA SUI’s BLAIR WALDORF-inspired fashion range.
The cast, including Leighton Meester who stars as the socialite, was preparing to film a party scene featuring decorations based on the Target company’s bullseye symbol in New York last Tuesday (07Jul09).
But store chiefs axed the shoot - and reportedly scrapped plans to sell clothes based on the characters over fears of associating the brand with the scandalous show.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "One of Target’s top executives got nervous about being that closely associated with the show, given the (debauchery) its characters get into.
"There was going to be signage (at the party), as well as Target symbols in purple and black - Anna’s signature colours. And it was rumoured that Anna herself was going to be making a cameo appearance.
"The crew was thrown into a frenzy because they had to scrap everything they had planned. They can’t believe Target would bail on them, especially after publicly announcing the collaboration." Gossip Girl has attracted millions of fans with its controversial storylines featuring privileged teenagers drinking and taking drugs.

Boxing champion ARTURO GATTI’s wife has been arrested on suspicion of strangling the sporting legend to death with her purse strap.
Gatti was in Brazil on holiday with wife Amanda Rodrigues and their one-year-old son when he was found dead in a hotel room in Porto de Galihnas on Saturday (11Jul09).
In a dramatic twist, police have now arrested Rodrigues and accused her of murdering her husband after a drunken row.
She was taken in for questioning on Sunday (12Jul09) after cops ruled her initial story was "inconsistent and incoherent" and she was unable to explain why she had been in the same room as Gatti for 10 hours without realising he was dead.
Rodrigues told police she had a fight with Gatti after dinner on Friday night (10Jul09) and he pushed her to the ground during the row, causing her to sustain minor injuries to her elbow and chin.
She said Gatti was drunk and that a third party likely committed the crime after he went to the apartment by himself.
Rodrigues is currently being held for further questioning, with cops expected to bring charges later on Monday (13Jul09). A police spokesman said, "She is the only suspect.� Gatti and Rodrigues were in the country enjoying a second honeymoon following a brief split.

MICHAEL JACKSON is still King of Pop in the U.K. - he continues to reside atop the British album charts for the third week.
Following his death on 25 June (09), music charts across the globe have seen a surge in sales for the Thriller legend’s hits.
And it is no different in Britain, where a compilation of his most beloved tracks, The Essentials, shot into the top spot, knocking off his previous best-selling album, Number Ones.
Other Jackson records Off The Wall, Thriller and The Motown Years are all in the top five, with only British band Florence and the Machine managing to get a spot in the Jackson-packed chart, sitting at number two with Lungs.
In the singles chart, Cascada’s Evacuate The Dancefloor holds onto the number one position, with La Roux track Bulletproof in at number two.
Jackson makes another appearance in the singles countdown with his Man In The Mirror at number three.

Officials in Los Angeles are demanding a review of funding for MICHAEL JACKSON’s memorial service amid calls for the family to pick up the bill.
It is estimated at least $1.4 million (£934,000) was spent by the city to cover costs for the mammoth task of arranging the star-studded bash while keeping control of the legions of fans who descended on L.A. to pay their respects.
More than 3,000 police officers were deployed on to the streets to ensure the mourning crowds didn’t descend into madness.
After the event, L.A. mayor Antonio Villaraigosa urged fans to donate cash to help cover the memorial costs, setting up an online account for devotees to add to.
But Los Angeles councilman Dennis Zine has called for a review - and is adamant Jackson’s family and concert promoters AEG should foot the bill.
And Zine believes fans and taxpayers, who will have to pay some of the costs, are being "ripped off".
In a meeting on Thursday (09Jul09), Zine asked that AEG and the Jackson clan make some "reimbursement to the city to replenish the public safety and other critical funds".

ANTONIO BANDERAS fears independent filmmakers are set for a struggle - because cash-strapped investors are refusing to gamble on risky movie projects.
The Spanish actor has just screened his directorial debut, El Camino de los Ingleses, at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic - and admits he had to fight for the cash to get the low-budget film off the ground.
Banderas, who has a film production company based in Malaga, Spain - blames the world economic crisis on the troubles lying in store for independent cinema, explaining, "The crisis has taken us by surprise and it is stabbing us in the back.
"It is very difficult to get a penny from a bank now. We are in a difficult situation." But the actor/director, who was presented with the festival’s President’s Award on Saturday (11Jul09), insists he won’t stop making indie films - he’s currently seeking funding for a screenplay he has written about "the last king of the Arabs in the ninth century".

SANDRA BULLOCK knew she was destined to spend the rest of her life with husband JESSE JAMES, after she nursed him back to health following a near-fatal racing accident.
The Proposal actress had been dating the TV tough guy and motorbike enthusiast for just three months when he was rushed to hospital after a bike smash.
The 44 year old feared the worst as she was told priests had taken to his bedside in case he needed to receive his Last Rites.
But Bullock realised then that James was the man for her - and vowed to stay with him whatever happened.
She says, "The day I knew was after he got in a racing accident in California about three months into our relationship. I realised how bad it was when we were driving down to be with him and they said that the chaplains were already there.
"I said, ‘Whatever condition he’s in, I want to be the one to make the decision as to how to make him better,’ and I realised I didn’t have that right. I knew then that I was in for the long haul and I thought, if he was (going to be) in a wheelchair or whatever, I was willing to take it on.
"When couples make the vows "for better, for worse" they rarely think of the worst that can happen. But I thought the worst from the beginning, so every day is kind of a little blessing."

MICHAEL JACKSON’s father JOE is gearing up to transform the King of Pop’s three children into superstars - by launching them as THE JACKSON THREE, according to reports.
The Jackson clan patriarch has made no secret of his desire to manage the musical careers of his three grandchildren, telling reporters last week (begs06Jul09) that he saw great potential in his singer son’s offspring.
He told reporters, "We should keep them all together and make them happy. And feed them like they’re supposed to be fed. And let them get rest… and grow up to be strong Jacksons." "I keep watching Paris. She wants to do something… (and) Blanket can really dance." And Jackson, who masterminded his own childrens’ careers from an early age, is already putting plans in motion to involve the kids on a world tour next year (10), according to Michael Jackson’s biographer Ian Halperin.
He says, "Joe wants the children to go on a world tour in 2010. He has also already offered recording contracts to two of Michael’s kids.
"Now he is talking about getting them the world’s best backing band and taking them on tour as The Jackson Three." He adds to Britain’s The Sun, "One of the family members is livid. He is saying Joe seems intent to do this no matter what.
"He wants to exploit the kids the same way he did Michael." And it seems most of the Jackson family are against the idea - Jackson’s mum Katherine and ex-wife Debbie Rowe have reportedly agreed a secret deal to keep Joe away from the three children.

ROBIN WILLIAMS visited France to support his cyclist pal LANCE ARMSTRONG’s bid for an eighth Tour de France title.
The Mrs. Doubtfire funnyman arrived in the country to watch the ninth stage of the famous race as competitors battled to complete the tough stretch from Saint Gaudens to Tarbes.
And Williams took time out of cheering on Armstrong to pay tribute to the cancer survivor’s determination to reclaim his crown as Tour de France’s champion.
He told reporters, "He’s a great friend and it’s great to hang out with him. It’s wild to see him back on the Tour.
"You’d think after seven wins he’d think ‘c’est fini’, but no, he is back for one more time. That is pretty ballsy. To race the Giro d’Italia and the Tour of California already this year, it’s kind of great and he is doing it for many reasons which is wonderful to see." A woman who launched a lawsuit against SACHA BARON COHEN for allegedly assaulting her during filming for outrageous new comedy BRUNO is now suing the funnyman for "emotional distress".
Richelle Olson filed suit against Cohen and studio chiefs at NBC Universal, claiming she was injured in a stunt at a bingo hall in Palmdale, California in 2007.
She claimed Cohen, who appeared in character as his outrageous gay Austrian alter-ego, used "vulgar and offensive language" when he took to the stage to call the numbers during the charity bingo game - and when she tried to snatch the microphone from him she reports a "physical struggle ensued".
Olson alleged the incident had left her wheelchair-bound after she suffered "brain bleeds".
However, after movie bosses at NBC Universal advised that they had unearthed footage they insisted proved Cohen "never touched" the alleged victim - Olson and her legal team seemingly quickly took a different route.
Olson has now dropped her claims of assault and battery, opting to sue Cohen for "emotional damage" instead, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The amount Olson is suing for was not clear as WENN went to press.

BLUR’s GRAHAM COXON battled a bout of food poisoning to complete the band’s "last gig" at Scottish music festival T In The Park on Sunday (12Jul09).
The reunited rockers faced cancelling their headline slot on the last day of the annual bash after guitarist Coxon was taken to hospital.
But the musician was determined to take to the stage, and the group stuck to their word and performed at the music event - albeit nearly two hours after they were expected.
And it seems Coxon didn’t want to miss the monumental occasion - frontman Damon Albarn hinted to the crowd the band’s reunion had come to an end.
He told the crowd, "Graham literally walked out of a hospital to come here. He’s alright. This is our last gig." Blur reunited earlier this year (09) to play a string of summer shows following a five year hiatus as a complete original line-up.
