JACKSON’S MEMORIAL RECEPTION WAS ‘LIKE AN ART GALLERY LAUNCH’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:03 am

The star-studded reception after MICHAEL JACKSON’s memorial service in Los Angeles on Tuesday (07Jul09) was the perfect end to a highly emotional and respectful day, according to the King of Pop’s longtime friend and former producer SAMM BROWN.
Brown, who worked on the pop superstar’s early solo hits, was among the mourners invited to attend the wake after the Staples Center memorial - and he admits the Beverly Wilshire Hotel send-off was peaceful and beautiful.
The legendary producer and radio presenter tells WENN, "It was very quiet and everyone was very respectful. You might have thought it was an art gallery opening." Brown reveals no Michael Jackson music was played but a classical quintet was hired to play Bach and Ravel.
Meanwhile, the producer admits he was touched upon arrival at the memorial - One Day In Your Life, the hit he co-wrote for Jackson, was playing quietly as he took his seat.
He says, "It was magical, truly wonderful." Brown recently told WENN that Jackson had always though the song would be the perfect tune to play at his funeral.
