GORDON-LEVITT SMITTEN WITH CO-STAR DESCHANEL’S MUSIC
Actor JOSEPH GORDON-LEVITT found falling for newly-engaged ZOOEY DESCHANEL on the set of their new movie 500 DAYS OF SUMMER easy - he’d just listen to her dreamy SHE & HIM album over breakfast every morning.
The actress has become an indie music darling thanks to her collaboration with M. Ward - and Gordon-Levitt is a big fan.
He says, "Zooey’s one of my favourite people in the world and I love her as an artist, as an actor and as a musician.
"In the movie, the character I play is supposed to be just desperately in love with her, smitten, and so, in the morning, I would listen to her album. It was perfect because I would have these beautiful melodies running through my head with her voice and how could you not have a crush on this girl after listening?" But the actor isn’t likely to take his feelings any further - Deschanel became engaged to Death Cab for Cutie star Ben Gibbard in December (08).
