ELBA REFUSED TO ASK BEYONCE FOR HELP
THE WIRE star IDRIS ELBA refused to ask his OBSESSED co-star BEYONCE for help launching his music career.
The British actor is currently working on his first album and plans to tour Europe later this year (09).
Elba worked closely with Beyonce when they made the big screen thriller together, but even though he is close friends with the R&B superstar, he has never talked to her about his own musical ambitions.
He tells British magazine Now, "I’m actually a little bit nervous about playing my stuff to people I work with.
"After working with Beyonce, we got to know each other really well, but I didn’t say, ‘Hey, did you know I do music?’ "Beyonce is a phenomenal talent and a star, but I’d rather she just heard stuff and was like, ‘I really like that. I want to work with him,’ rather than by other means."
