Injury-prone POISON frontman BRET MICHAELS is in the news again after his tour bus was involved in a multi-vehicle pile up in Canada on Saturday (04Jul09).
Just weeks after the rocker was left with a fractured nose and a split lip after stage scenery fell on him at the Tony Awards, Michaels is recovering after a crash en route to a show in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Reports suggest a car lost control and drove into the side of Michaels’ tour bus, causing a five-car pile-up.
No serious injuries were reported and the singer and his crew were released from the scene following an investigation.
Michaels was forced to postpone a series of solo shows last month (Jun09) as he recovered from his Tony Awards injuries, but no upcoming Poison concerts are expected to be shelved because of the latest accident.

Cult indie rockers PANIC AT THE DISCO have urged fans not to panic after losing two group members.
Guitarist Ryan Ross and bass player Jon Walker have announced they’re leaving the band to form their own group, but founding members Brendon Urie and Spencer Smith have promised fans they’ll honour all upcoming commitments, including an 8 August (09) date with No Doubt in San Diego, California.
A statement from Ross and Walker reads, "Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve.
"Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realise that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too." Panic At The Disco also have dates planned with reunited punk trio Blink-182 in August (09).
News of problems within the Panic camp started circulating after the band scrapped a headlining slot at Pennsylvania’s MusicFest at the end of July (31Jul09). They have been replaced by The Commodores, who reunited with former frontman Lionel Richie at the Essence Music Festival in Louisiana at the weekend (05Jul09).

The TRANSFORMERS sequel has broken the weekend’s box office tie to score a second week as the biggest film in America.
Estimates, released on Sunday (05Jul09), suggested both Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs had tied for the top spot, but new official statistics have given Michael Bay’s blockbuster the edge over the animated sequel.
The Transformers sequel earned $42.3 million (GBP28.2 million), while the Ice Age film debuted with $41.7 million (GBP27.8 million) The action movie has become the biggest film of the year globally, grossing a staggering $594 million (GBP396 million) in just 12 days.

Comedian DANE COOK’s half-brother is facing a further 20 counts of larceny in connection to allegations he embezzled more than $11 million (£7.3 million) from the funnyman.
Darryl McCauley, who worked as the funnyman’s business manager for almost five years, was arrested in Massachusetts in December (08). He was accused of stealing from Cook’s fortune and forging a $3 million (£2 million) cheque to himself.
He has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of larceny, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme and is currently being held behind bars as he awaits a pre-trial hearing.
But, on Monday (06Jul09), it emerged McCauley had been indicted on another 20 charges, dating back to March 2004.
The Good Luck Chuck actor, 37, broke his silence about his sibling’s charges in April (09), admitting it was a "terrible betrayal".
Cook added, "I worked with my only half-brother for several years. (I) woke up one day and a lot of stuff was missing. There is a good chunk of money that is certainly not accounted for… Hopefully justice will be served and I can move on with my life."

Veteran actress JOYCE DEWITT had an Independence Day to remember - she was busted for driving under the influence (DUI) in California.
The 60 year old, best known for her role as Janet Wood on hit 1980s TV show Three’s Company, was pulled over by cops in El Segundo on Saturday afternoon (04Jul09) after driving past a traffic barricade.
DeWitt smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests, according to TMZ.com, prompting police to take her into custody.
She was released hours later after posting $5,000 (£3,330) bail.

MADONNA left fans at London’s O2 Arena waiting for more than half an hour - because she demanded the venue’s air conditioning be stepped up.
The pop superstar took to the stage on Saturday night (04Jul09) to restart her Sticky & Sweet world tour in the British capital.
But the singer angered fans by leaving them waiting, with the crowd’s cheers turning to boos and jeers as time ticked on.
The delayed start meant many concert-goers were left stranded as London’s public transport systems shut for the night.
A spokeswoman for the O2 Arena has apologised to fans who were stuck after the gig and explained the reason behind the delay.
She says, "Madonna unfortunately came on stage much later than we expected. Madonna requested the arena be a certain temperature - the air conditioning was turned on an hour before Madonna came on stage."

REVEREND AL SHARPTON is calling on U.S. Postal Service officials to honour MICHAEL JACKSON’s legacy with a commemorative stamp.
The civil rights leader and longtime friend of the Jackson family wants to ensure the Thriller hitmaker’s memory lives on following his sudden death on 25 June (09).
But Postal Service executives have warned Sharpton not to get his hopes up - the rules state a star cannot get their own stamp until five years after their demise.
A spokesman for the mail service tells the New York Daily News, "I’m sure we’ll receive tens of thousands of letters advocating for the stamp, but the rules are the rules." Sharpton is also urging government chiefs to declare a national day of mourning in tribute to the late pop superstar.

DAME ELIZABETH TAYLOR has blasted reports she is on "suicide watch" following the devastating loss of her close friend MICHAEL JACKSON.
The veteran actress collapsed in her Hollywood home upon learning of the Thriller superstar’s sudden death on 25 June (09).
The 77 year old subsequently released a broken-hearted statement revealing the depth of her friendship with Jackson, saying, "My heart… my mind… are broken. I loved Michael with all my soul and I can’t imagine life without him… I still can’t believe it. I don’t want to believe it. It can’t be so.
"He will live in my heart forever but it’s not enough. My life feels so empty. I don’t think anyone knew how much we loved each other. The purest most giving love I’ve ever known. Oh God! I’m going to miss him. I can’t yet imagine life without him… I will love him forever." But Taylor, who has been in a wheelchair for several months, sparked fears her health was in further decline on Sunday (05Jul09) when she posted a note on her Twitter.com page about an upcoming hospital visit.
She wrote, "I wanted you my friends to know that I’m going into the hospital Wednesday or Thursday to complete a test I was in the middle of." However, Taylor was quick to dismiss rumours linking her medical tests to tabloid reports which claimed Jackson’s death left her on the verge of taking her own life.
She says, "Although my grief over Michael could not be any deeper, I am not on suicide watch as some of the cheaper ‘rags’ would have you believe.
"I will always love Michael from the depth of my being and nothing can separate us."

KATIE HOLMES has teamed up with HAIRSPRAY director ADAM SHANKMAN and reality TV guru NIGEL LYTHGOE to launch a dance scholarship fund.
The Hollywood actress, who is set to appear on Lythgoe’s U.S. show So You Think You Can Dance later this month (23Jul09), has joined forces with the pair and Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba to set up the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
The scholarship organisation gives underprivileged youngsters the opportunity to take part in dance programs and win grants to enrol in accredited dance studios, reports Daily Variety.
Holmes says, "I think it’s important for children to experience music and dance. Every child should have the opportunity to discover what it is they like and have access to the very best in that pursuit." The Batman Begins star will show off her moves on the dancefloor during a special 100th episode of So You Think You Can Dance on 23 July (09), in which she will perform a tribute to Judy Garland.

Hollywood sharpshooter JOE BOWMAN has died after suffering a heart attack at the age of 84.
Bowman, who stunned American audiences with his skilled pistol and rifle tricks, died on 29 June (09) in Junction, Texas.
His service in the U.S. Army and earned high military honours, including three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart, before training police SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) teams and officials at the F.B.I. (Federal Bureau of Investigation).
After leaving the Army, he launched the Bowman and DeGeorge Boot Shop, a venture specialising in gunsmith tools which attracted the attention of stars including Roy Rogers and Sammy Davis Jr.
Bowman was perhaps best-known for training actors - he coached Robert Duvall in quick-draw and sharpshooting for his role in 1989 TV western Lonesome Dove. The gunman also enjoyed a minor role of his own in 1986 drama Handgun.
Bowman is survived by his wife, Betty Reid-Bowman, his son Mark, a daughter Jan Bowman, and his brother, Mark M. Bowman Jr.

RICKY GERVAIS has hit back after a critic blasted him for condoning bullfighting while continuing to eat meat.
The British funnyman insists it is not hypocritical for meat-eaters to voice concerns about animal cruelty, and calls for an end to the "torture" inflicted on bulls in the name of sport.
In a posting on his blog, he writes: "Some food critic said I was a hypocrite for not understanding why people like to see a bull speared to death, when I’m clearly not a vegan and eat hamburgers at midnight.
"I think there is a difference between animals being humanely killed for meat and animals being tortured to death for fun. It’s the ‘enjoying it’ part I don’t understand… I have had several pets put down over the years when they were in pain with no quality of life. It was the right thing to do and yet on every occasion I cried. What a wuss.
"Next time, I will invite the food critic round and he can have a good old w*nk as the needle goes in. It’s only an animal, it was going to die anyway, may as well have a laugh. It may even become a tradition, and you can never end those.
"I wonder what other wonderful traditions he loves. His favourite is probably the one where they cut the tendons on the back of the bull’s neck so they can’t lift their head and so it looks like they’re constantly in "charge pose". More fun for the crowd."

WILLIAM SHATNER’s 1980s TV police drama T.J. HOOKER is to get a movie makeover.
The action series, produced by TV mogul Aaron Spelling, premiered on the small screen in 1982, with Shatner starring as the title character.
The show is now set for a modern revival - series creator Rick Husky will oversee the transition to cinemas as a producer, while The Scorpion King director Chuck Russell is in talks to take charge of the project, reports industry paper Daily Variety.
No actors have been cast in the film as yet.

ROBERT PATTINSON is desperate to return home to London - because he’s sick of obsessive female fans hassling him in New York.
The Twilight star is currently filming his new movie, Remember Me, in the Big Apple, and was recently struck by a taxi while trying to escape a group of over-excited devotees.
Pattinson has reportedly become so annoyed with the behaviour of girls on the streets of Manhattan, he has started pining for his native Britain.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "Robert is dying to get back home. He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls - they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and heâ��s not used to that. Fans donâ��t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what heâ��s used to.â�� And the heart-throb actor is so unhappy with life in America, even his co-stars are concerned about him.
The source adds, "He’s so skinny and stressed. Everyone on set is worried about him… Robert doesnâ��t understand why everyone is going so crazy over him. Heâ��s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him. He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him. He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, theyâ��ll take the whole arm. MICHAEL JACKSON’s ex-wife DEBBIE ROWE has only received a fraction of the $7.3 million (£4.5 million) payoff for signing away her parental rights to their children.
Rowe gave birth to Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11 after signing a surrogacy agreement with the King of Pop in 1996.
The couple divorced in 1999, and two years later she waived her parental rights in return for a massive payoff.
But she has only ever been handed $1.5 million (£1 million) - and faces a potential court battle to retrieve the missing millions from Jackson’s estate.
She received an initial lump sum of $909,000 (£606,000), and in 2007 was given the first installment of $585,000 (£390,000).
In papers filed when she tried to regain custody of the children in 2003, Rowe stated: "I was told that our children were treated like royalty and were very happy children. I wanted to speak with Michael over the past few years to talk about our children but he did not want to speak with me. I maintained contact with persons close to him to keep updates on them." A hearing will take place next week (beg13Jul09) to determine the future custody of her two children and Jackson’s youngest son, seven-year-old Prince Michael ‘Blanket’ II.

SARAH JESSICA PARKER is set to move SEX AND THE CITY glamour from Manhattan to Brooklyn - she is to make a new TV show about a group of glamorous women living in the New York borough.
The actress shot to worldwide fame as sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the hit U.S. series, which focused on four female characters living in the heart of the Big Apple.
Parker has now snapped up the rights to upcoming book Prospect Park West by New York magazine dating columnist Amy Sohn, with plans for her Pretty Matches production company to turn the story into a TV show.
The novel features four urban mothers living in Brooklyn and is described as a mix of "sex, parenthood, and celebrity".
A representative for Parker was unable to confirm whether the actress plans to star in the upcoming HBO production, or act as a producer on the series, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix.
