Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:33 pm

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE is romancing a French aristocrat 11 years her junior, according to U.S. reports.
The 36-year-old has dated a string of suitors since her 2006 split from ex husband, 40-year-old shock rocker Marilyn Manson.
Von Teese has refused to reveal the identities of the men in her life, but the raven haired beauty gave a rare glimpse into her love life when she was spotted with 25-year-old actor Count Louis-Marie de Castelbajac at California’s Coachella Music Festival earlier this month (Apr09).
A pal of Castelbajac tells the New York Post, "We’re all shocked they’re together. She’s really robbing the cradle." But just last month (Mar09) Von Teese brushed off rumours she was looking to settle down, telling reporters: "Right now I’ve got three (men). They’re all in different parts of the world… That’s my biggest sin - juggling men."

FAWCETT’S REP: ‘FARRAH’S CONDITION REMAINS UNCHANGED’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:33 pm

Cancer-stricken star FARRAH FAWCETT has spoken out to quell rumours her health is rapidly deteriorating after her incarcerated son was granted special leave at the weekend to visit his sick mother.
The Charlie’s Angels actress is resting at longterm partner Ryan O’Neal’s Malibu, California home following her recent hospitalisation for internal bleeding, which was not directly related to her battle with anal cancer.
Redmond O’Neal, Fawcett’s son with Ryan, is currently being held behind bars in Los Angeles after violating his probation stemming from his 2008 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).
But on Friday (24Apr09), a judge granted the 24-year-old’s request to leave the facility for a short period, and Redmond was given a police escort to his dad’s beachfront property on Saturday (25Apr09), where he spent three hours with ailing Fawcett.
The visit sparked fresh fears the actress was losing her fight with cancer because the brief trip allegedly cost Redmond’s family $1,300 (£895) - and is only usually granted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to inmates who have gravely ill relatives.
New reports surfaced on Tuesday (28Apr09) alleging Fawcett had taken a turn for the worse and relatives were "staying by her side", according to RadarOnline.com.
However, Fawcett’s spokesman Arnold Robinson has dismissed the claims and insists the 62-year-old’s condition remains "unchanged".

MICHAEL DOUGLAS is heading back to WALL STREET - he will return to the big screen as evil moneyman GORDON GEKKO.
Rumours of a sequel to the hit 1987 movie have mounted since the collapse of the modern global banking system - with film fans suggesting it is the perfect time for Douglas to reprise his Oscar-winning role as the ruthless banking boss.
And the actor has listened to cinemagoers’ demands - agreeing to team up with director Oliver Stone again to shoot Wall Street 2.
20th Century Fox will begin filming in the summer (09).
A spokesman for the studio says, "We need to keep the story line under wraps, but it’s literally ripped from today’s headlines. It’s going to be very big and very cool." And Douglas can’t wait to get back into his red braces, recently saying: "Gordon Gekko is a great, old-fashioned villain. And, interestingly enough, if you look at most actors’ careers, their biggest achievement, not necessarily success… is playing a bad guy."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:42 pm

The 44-year-old played style icon Carrie Bradshaw in the hit show from 1998 until 2004, and later reprised the role for the 2008 movie.
Plans are in place for a sequel to the smash film - but Parker harbours dreams of starring in a more straight-laced project.
She says, "I’ve never really done a period role and I’ve always thought I’m more suited to them. In my head I live in a different time anyway so I always think I’m not modern.
"I’d love to do a costume drama. It could be the 16th century, it could be the twenties."

ALLEN SHOW CANCELLED FOR PUTIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

LILY ALLEN has a grudge against VLADIMIR PUTIN - her showcase concert in Saint Petersburg was axed when the former Russian Premier attended a bare-knuckle bout nearby.
The Smile hitmaker was due to perform a gig in the city in 2007 but it was cancelled amid security concerns because Putin was visiting a licensed brawl on the same night.
And Allen was unimpressed with the decision, insisting it has put her off the Russian leader for life.
She says, "I went to Saint Petersburg to play a gig a couple of years ago and it got cancelled because a few hundred metres up the river Putin was watching a bare-knuckle fist fight.
"Last minute, he decided to go and watch a bare-knuckle fist fight and therefore my concert got cancelled because of security issues. So whatever, Putin - I’m not into you."

I got insurance on my insurance.†But Britain’s Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has discovered that entertainers are barred from taking out car insurance with the firm - so Pop does not have a Swiftcover policy.
A spokesperson for ASA says, “We concluded the ad was misleading.â€

GALLOWS TOOK PIG SAMPLE FROM INTERNET

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Rockers GALLOWS have backtracked on their boast they recorded the sound of a dying pig for their new album - admitting they found the clip online.
The British band came under fire after announcing plans to include the noise of a slaughtered pig on forthcoming disc Grey Britain.
The group even claimed to have recorded the killing in a butcher’s shop themselves, insisting in an interview with NME.com the act was justified because the animal was "going to die anyway".
Officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) subsequently slammed Gallows for the move, even alleging news of the recording had prompted several people to request their free vegetarian starter kits.
But now Gallows have now conceded they were actually lying about the clip.
In a statement, the band says: "We would never harm an animal for the sake of our music. The sample is taken from the internet and we even traced it to come from Spain where they still use inhumane forms of slaughter.
"We do not want to upset our fans who we consider intelligent enough to realise we didn’t kill a pig or any other kind of animal to achieve the sounds on Grey Britain."

FARROW WEARS NECKLACE TO REMEMBER DARFUR

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

MIA FARROW wears a symbolic necklace given to her by a Darfurian refugee whose children were murdered to remind her of the plight of those in the war-ravaged region.
The Rosemary’s Baby star began a three-week fast on Monday (27Apr09), in a bid to raise awareness of those going hungry in the Sudanese area.
The actress has visited Darfur 12 times and lived amongst the people caught up in the conflict.
And Farrow admitted on Monday’s (27Apr09) Larry King Live show that one experience had a particularly lasting effect on her.
She says, "I wear around my neck a safety charm given to me in 2004 by a woman named Helema, who was wearing it when her village was attacked, when her baby son was torn from her arms, and bayonetted before her eyes.
"Three of her five children were similarly killed on that day, she told me. And she clasped my hands and said, ‘Tell people what is happening here. Tell them we will all be slaughtered. Tell them we need help.’"

BRAND SET FOR DROP DEAD FRED REMAKE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:30 pm

British funnyman RUSSELL BRAND has signed up to star in a remake of cult comedy DROP DEAD FRED - as an imaginary friend.
Brand will star in a new adaptation of the 1991 film, which originally featured Brit comedian Rik Mayall and actress Phoebe Cates.
The film tells the tale of a woman who returns to her parents’ home after she is fired from her job and dumped by her husband, only to be reacquainted with her anarchic childhood imaginary pal.
And it’s not the only remake the star has in the pipeline - he has also landed a role in the upcoming re-interpretation of Dudley Moore’s 1981 hit Arthur.
Confirming the news on his Twitter.com page, Brand says, "Drop Dead Fred - true. Arthur - true, Kinky Bible - a film I will never make." The original Drop Dead Fred failed to set the box office alight, only taking $13.9 million (£9.4 million) in America, but went on to become a cult hit. Arthur fared much better first time round - garnering $82 million (£58.5 million) in the U.S.

FARROW FASTS FOR AXED AID WORKERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:30 pm

MIA FARROW is determined to last at least 16 days in her hunger strike - to honour the 16 aid organisations banned from helping refugees in Darfur, Sudan.
The Rosemary’s Baby star is planning to live off just water during her three-week fast, which she began on Monday (27Apr09) in a bid to raise awareness of the plight of those starving in the war-ravaged region.
The actress gained nine pounds to cope with the weight loss she will encounter during the challenge, but is still worried she won’t manage the entire 21 days.
But Farrow revealed on Monday night’s Larry King Live show she’s set herself a personal goal - to last 16 days in honour of the aid workers who have helped the region with its plight.
She explains, "Last March, things just got a whole lot worse when the president of Sudan, a wanted man for war crimes and crimes against humanity, expelled 16 key aid agencies from the Darfur region, leaving about four million (people), approximately, without a life line.
"I’ve set a goal of three weeks. But my doctor said, given my weight, it’s unrealistic to suppose I could go that long. Maybe it will be two weeks. Maybe it will be 16 days, one day for every single one of the aid workers that have been expelled." In March (09), 13 international non-governmental organisations were expelled and three Sudanese relief organisations were closed after the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued an arrest warrant for President Omar el-Bashir on war crimes charges. He denies the charges.
The United Nations claims these closures will leave 1.1 million people without food, 1.5 million without health care and at least one million without drinking water.
