Disney star SELENA GOMEZ has prompted reports she’s dating actor TAYLOR LAUTNER, after she was spotted enjoying a series of cosy dates with the TWILIGHT hunk in Canada.
Lautner, 18, is currently shooting Twilight sequel New Moon in Vancouver, while Gomez is also working on new film Ramona and Beezus in the city.
According to Eonline.com’s Marc Malkin, the pair took time out of their busy schedules to go on a dinner date early last week (ends24Apr09), followed by a morning coffee on Thursday (23Apr09).
A source says, "They were very low-key and kept to themselves. Nobody bothered them." Gomez, 16, has previously been romantically linked to Jonas Brothers star Nick Jonas.

FARRAH FAWCETT’s incarcerated son REDMOND was granted a temporary release at the weekend (25Apr09) to visit his ailing mother, sparking fresh rumours the actress’ health is in rapid decline.
The Charlie’s Angels star is resting at longterm partner and Redmond’s father, Ryan O’Neal’s Malibu, California home following her recent hospitalisation for internal bleeding, which was not directly related to her battle with anal cancer.
Redmond O’Neal, 24, is currently being held behind bars in Los Angeles after violating his probation stemming from his 2008 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI).
But an application to leave the facility for a short period was granted by a judge on Friday (24Apr09), and Redmond was given a police escort to his dad’s beachfront property on Saturday, where he spent three hours with his sick mum.
According to ETonline.com, Redmond’s family paid $1,300 (£895) for the brief visit - which is only usually granted by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to inmates who have gravely ill relatives.
Fawcett’s doctor and friends were last week (ends24Apr09) forced to deny Redmond’s claims the actress’ health problems had reduced her to a skeletal 86 pounds (39 kilograms), after he made the shocking claim during a court appearance earlier this month (Apr09).
Instead, physician Lawrence Piro insisted Fawcett "was 101 pounds - a reasonable weight" considering her circumstances.
It’s a trying time for the O’Neal family - in addition to his probation violation, troubled Redmond is also facing a drug charge after being caught in possession of an illegal substance on 5 April (09) while visiting a jailed pal at a California detention centre.

PINK has dismissed reports she’s planning to renew her marriage vows to CAREY HART - because she’d rather model their relationship on unwed couple GOLDIE HAWN and KURT RUSSELL.
The couple has reconciled since its separation last year (08), sparking reports earlier this month (Apr09) Pink and Hart were organising a low-key sunset ceremony at their home in Malibu, California.

BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE’s lawyer has dubbed the couple’s former bodyguard a "pathological liar" amid reports the minder is planning to write a tell-all autobiography.
Former British soldier Mickey Brett has protected a host of A-list stars including Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman and Sylvester Stallone, and worked for Jolie and Pitt for a number of years.
According to the New York Daily News, Brett is planning to reveal all about his encounters with the stars in a new memoir.
The news has incensed the superstar couple, whose representative Marty Singer claims Brett lied about his past as a special forces commando and hid a string of criminal convictions from his employers.
In a conversation with the newspaper, Singer noted Brett was questioned in a 1993 murder investigation and was arrested for assaulting a restaurant owner in Namibia in 2006, while Jolie was in the country to give birth to baby Shiloh.
He also claims Brett signed a confidentiality agreement, promising not to disclose details about his time in Jolie and Pitt’s employment.
In response, Brett’s lawyer says, "Our client disputes what has apparently been said by Mr. Singer, but is not in a position to comment further at this stage." However Robin McGibbon, an author who has worked with Brett, insists there are no book plans in the pipeline: "Mickey was definitely going to consider a book or TV deal if the offer was good enough. (But at this point) There’s not going to be a book."

TOMMY LEE’s ex-fiancee has made peace with the rocker, 15 years after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her.
Lee spent three hours in jail in 1994 but was released and denied attacking former beauty queen Bobbie Brown.
The incident prompted the couple to split, and Brown claims she was left psychologically damaged for years, until Lee reached out and apologised earlier this year (09).
Brown, 39, tells BlogTalkRadio.com, "It probably took me 10 years to be able to be in the same room with him and not be affected in some way emotionally.
"Of course, I was ruined for at least five years after that. It was literally horrible for me." She adds of their reunion, "Seeing him again - I got mad. You know how at first you’re sad then mad? But then I became like a buddy. Now we’re friends.
"But you’re still emotionally affected by what he did, for a very long time. He actually apologised this year." Brown tells all about her life with Lee and other rock lovers Mark McGrath and Jay Gordon in a new memoir, called Serial Rock Dater: Sex, Drugs, and Cherry Pie.

Bluegrass great RALPH STANLEY was sporting a black eye at the Stagecoach country music festival in California on Sunday (26Apr09) after taking a nasty fall at his home in West Virginia the day before.
The 82-year-old was cleaning when he fell off a stool.
But the show went on for the injured banjo player, who joked, "You should see the other guy!" before he took the Mustang stage at the festival.

Hip-hop star METHOD MAN has blasted rumours his group WU-TANG CLAN have split - reprimanding rap rival LUDACRIS for helping to spread the gossip.
The How High rapper, real name Clifford Smith, is one of the key members of the Wu-Tang Clan, alongside the likes of RZA, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, GZA and U-God.
Each member has enjoyed solo success away from the group, who released their last album, 8 Diagrams, in 2007 - their first since the death of Wu-Tang co-founder Ol’ Dirty Bastard in 2004.
The band has not released any new material together since, prompting rumours they have quietly parted ways.
Ludacris appeared to confirm the news on his song Let’s Stay Together, from his latest album Theatre of the Mind, when he rapped: "First Wu-Tang broke up/Now ODB’s gone".
But Method Man has slammed the claims, insisting Wu-Tang Clan are simply on a hiatus.
He tells the New York Daily News, "We never really split up. People need to stop taking s**t out of context.
"Even Ludacris, who I respect a lot, kind of upset me with a song he had where he mentioned Wu-Tang broke up. No, we didn’t break up! There has never been an official statement that said, ‘We’re done’ or ‘I’m out’. (Before a new group album), there’s things we’ve got to take care of first before anybody even starts to discuss that."

Producer SCOTT STORCH blew $30 million (£20.7 million) in just three years after becoming hooked on cocaine.
The Grammy-winning beatmaker, who has worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Eminem, Lil Wayne and Christina Aguilera, has hit headlines in recent months after missing payments on his Miami, Florida mansions, his luxury cars and child support obligations.
Most recently, he pleaded not guilty to grand theft auto after allegedly failing to return a leased Bentley on time.
But Storch has finally opened up about his financial woes, blaming his money situation on a devastating drug habit that resulted in him hitting rock bottom.
He’s now in recovery after enrolling in a rehabilitation programme and insists he’s back behind the mixing board to focus on his work.
Storch tells MTV News, "I’m taking it back to square one (going back into the studio).
"I found myself slipping a little bit. I got involved in doing drugs. I had to get myself into recovery. Being in the life that I was living - very fast-moving, option to do anything you want, go anywhere you wanna go - it definitely takes its toll on you, and you lose your concept of reality. I had to get it under control. I had to take it back to the beginning and back to the Hit Factory (studio), where I made a lot of my hits." Storch reveals he’s now living in a facility where he is monitored by a live-in drug counsellor and has to abide by a curfew.
And he has credited music publishers TVT with helping him to make the most of his second chance at success.
Storch adds, "Just taking it day by day," the producer said of his life now. "I haven’t won the war. It’s not like something you can just fix and it’s just gone. Addiction is a disease, and I have to constantly battle it. I feel so much better and have more clarity, especially in the studio. It’s cool. It’s been a really productive period. …With the help of my publisher TVT, I’ve had the chance to …come up with a whole new vibe. I’m very happy right now."

THE WIRE star IDRIS ELBA has joined the fight to outlaw knife crime in his native London.
The actor, who played a drug dealer and killer in the cult series, is teaming up with charity The Prince’s Trust to capitalise on the popularity of the show in Britain, and try to persuade teenagers not to carry knives.
Elba chose the Prince’s Trust because the charity helped to launch his performing career, by handing him a $2,175 (£1,500) grant, which paid for his place at the National Youth Music Theatre.
The actor tells WENN, "There’s been a upsurge in knife crime in the last five years. My show The Wire is really popular there at the moment, so I’m hoping I can connect with the kids." He adds, "The underlying issues of The Wire are not a million miles from what British kids are dealing with today. The show is recognised for its realistic portrayal of urban life where kids hang around on corners with nothing to do. They are hand-picked by gangsters that offer them quick money for dirty jobs - this is very similar to the gang and drug culture emerging in some of the U.K.’s biggest cities."

Actress GABRIELLE UNION is expecting a child with basketball star DWYANE WADE, according to reports.
The Bad Boys II beauty has been romantically linked to Miami Heat player Wade in recent months, following her 2006 divorce from American football star Chris Howard.

JAMIE FOXX is searching for the former college roommate who saved his life after he was spiked with a deadly hallucinogenic drug.
The actor claims Mark Pobart comforted and cared for him while he endured days of terrifying visions and voices, brought on by a dose of phencyclidine - more commonly known as PCP, Angel Dust or moondust.
Foxx - who plays a schizophrenic musical genius in new movie The Soloist - tells the New York Daily News, "When I was in college, someone slipped me PCP. I thought I was losing my mind. I was hearing voices. I had a roommate, Mark Pobart, who got me through those nights. I haven’t seen him in years. But I hope he reads this and contacts me. He really saved my life."

JAMIE LYNN SPEARS’ boyfriend CASEY ALDRIDGE "is doing well" as he recovers from head injuries suffered in a car crash on Sunday (26Apr09).
Aldridge, who has a 10-month-old daughter with Britney Spears’ little sister, was airlifted to the emergency room after he swerved into a ditch while driving down a Louisiana highway in the early hours of Sunday.
Three of the five people riding in the truck - including Aldridge himself - were thrown from the vehicle as it flipped over.
Aldridge suffered mild brain trauma and a fractured skull, while another passenger sustained a broken collarbone, and a third injured his hip.
According to his uncle, Odus Jackson Alridge, the 20-year-old will not need surgery, although he remains under observation at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where Jamie Lynn and other family members have rushed to his side.
He tells Usmagazine.com, "There was just a little swelling, but he’s alert. They’re keeping him under precaution for a couple of days to make sure that no bleeding starts, but at the moment he’s still resting well and doing well…
"I think they’re going to keep him under observation for about three days. Doctors are telling him that he should recover to full normalcy. It’ll just take some time for it to all heal up - the brain. As I told somebody, he stepped over a snake, thankfully.
"He’s been talking, and they (family members) were keeping him awake as much as possible. It looks like heâ��s probably going to be over the danger." Following the crash, Aldridge was slapped with a misdemeanour charge of careless operation of a vehicle - but authorities have declared there was no indication he was drunk or on drugs at the time of the crash.
He had attended a cousin’s bachelor party prior to the accident.

Hollywood heartthrob ROBERT PATTINSON decided to become an actor after his dad convinced him it would help him pick up women.
The 22-year-old is among Tinseltown’s hottest new stars, thanks to his lead role in cult vampire franchise Twilight.

Hollywood heavyweight JACK NICHOLSON made a special visit to his daughter’s university campus on Saturday (25Apr09) to discuss his acting career with students.
Nicholson was part of a panel including producers Robert Evans, Brad Grey and former studio boss Peter Bart, which hosted the Ivy League Film Festival session at Rhode Island’s Brown University.
Students were shown clips of movies the four have been involved with and lectured on loyalty and artistic integrity, reports the New York Post.

KATE WALSH’s divorce battle has taken another twist - her estranged husband ALEX YOUNG has accused the ex-couple’s accounting firm of siding with the actress and refusing to facilitate his financial requests.
The pair split last year (08) soon after celebrating their first anniversary and the Private Practice star filed for divorce in December.
They have been embroiled in a bitter dispute as they work to dissolve their marriage, with Walsh bidding to block movie executive Young from claiming alimony.
Now executives at accounting company London & Co. have been dragged into the fight - they’ve filed for a protective order against Young, claiming he continues to pester them for information regarding the state of the couple’s finances despite giving him everything they have.
Young’s lawyers have hit back at the order, filed in a Los Angeles court, insisting London & Co.’s bosses are acting solely in the interests of Walsh, and likening their actions to a PR firm, reports TMZ.com.
In his response to the protective bid, Young’s lawyer alleges the legal documents read like a "press release to benefit one client, Ms. Walsh".
