HEROES STAR TURNS REAL LIFE HERO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:30 am

HEROES actor JIMMY JEAN-LOUIS has set up a new charity to rescue kids from exploitation in his native Haiti.
I Too Am Haiti is a collaboration between Jean-Louis, who plays The Haitian in the hit series, and the Pan American Development Foundation.
Campaign leaders hope to raise awareness and funds for the estimated 200,000 child victims of trafficking, forced labour and exploitation in the poverty-stricken nation.
Jean-Louis says, "The exploitation of children is a stain on human dignity. It is within our reach to create a better future for these children.
"We’re talking about children as young as seven or eight years old who are the victims of exploitation. They should be riding bikes and going to school. Instead, they are kept out of school. Some children are exposed to violence. Others are forced to live in horrendous conditions."
