BEYONCE BAFFLED BY SINGING CRITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:39 pm

BEYONCE is baffled critics doubted her vocal ability after an altered out-of-tune recording was leaked online last week (begs20Apr09) - because the audio was "obviously a hoax".
The superstar found herself at the centre of controversy on Wednesday (22Apr09) when American shock jock Howard Stern aired audio of Beyonce appearing to screech along to her hit song If I Were A Boy during a TV performance last November (08).
Her father Mathew Knowles quickly dismissed the tape as a fake, before art student Matthew Zeghibe came forward to confess his scam and apologise.
And although Beyonce has laughed off the incident, she admits being shocked people took the recording seriously and ever doubted her singing ability.
She tells the New York Daily News, “I knew it was a joke. I knew it was supposed to be silly. Something like that I don’t even take seriously. I thought it was hilarious.
“The craziest thing was journalists were asking me about it when they hadn’t even listened to it. If you had heard it, it was obviously a hoax! More than anything, it’s amazing that someone can do something so obviously funny, and have the whole world take it the wrong way.”
