LINDSAY LOHAN’s angry dad has fired back at her allegations he cheated on his ex-wife, her mother DINA.
The actress made the claims about her father Michael’s infidelity during a taped interview with U.S. TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, which aired on Thursday (23Apr09) - and he has been quick to dismiss them.
Even before the show aired, Michael Lohan went public with his comments following Mean Girls star Lindsay�s confession she "watched my father do that (cheat) to my mother my entire life".
He tells news show Extra, "It disturbs me that… (she) accuses me of cheating on her mother when I only did so when Dina and I were separated." And he urges his daughter to pay more attention to her ongoing substance abuse recovery and career - and stop taking aim at him.
Michael, a born-again Christian adds, "She still continues to take the focus off of herself.
"I truly believe that if she involves the right people in her life and does the right thing, her life and career will be back in order and come to even higher levels than it has before. I love her, I have faith in her and I know God is working in her life. I’m happy to see that she is getting back on the right track."

PAMELA ANDERSON has written a personal plea to Russian leader VLADIMIR PUTIN, asking the Prime Minister to help her ban the slaughter of baby seals in her native Canada.
Putin was recently applauded by animal lovers all over the world for overseeing a ban on the hunting of young harp seals, and now Anderson has asked him to urge Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper to follow his lead.
Anderson, a longtime animal rights activist and PETA spokesperson, claims the Canadian government will allow seal hunters to brutally beat and skin approximately 338,200 seals this year.
In her letter to Putin, obtained by WENN via PETA, she writes, "The Canadian government has refused to budge on this issue, despite widespread protests and international bans on the trade in baby seal skins.
"I collected thousands of signatures myself and personally delivered the petition to parliament, to no avail. The government is sacrificing not only the seals but also worldwide goodwill by going against the wishes of most Canadians, Europeans, Russians, and others.
"You have been quoted as saying that seal hunting is ‘a bloody industry that should have been banned long ago’. I couldn’t agree more. Please use your influence with Prime Minister Harper to help us stop the senseless slaughter of baby seals once and for all."

The SexyBack singer has been spotted sporting rimmed frames in public of late and on Wednesday night (22Apr09) he came clean about his new look on late-night U.S. chat show Jimmy Kimmel Live! Taking his glasses off briefly, he told the host, "That’s just ridiculous… I can see you, but I can’t see any of you (studio audience).

Gossip and controversy swirling around LINDSAY LOHAN is costing the actress a career comeback - because studio bosses are wary about working with her.
The Mean Girls star reveals one major movie project has already been put on hold because producers believe what they read about Lohan’s supposed eating disorder, drug abuse and post-romance meltdown.
Appearing on Thursday’s (23Apr09) Ellen show in America, the actress said, "I had a really good opportunity with an amazing actor and it’s been put on hold because of this coverage that’s been coming out.
"I didn’t get into this to be a celebrity on the cover of tabloids and I’ve been a target and I’m not that interesting but it’s distracting; it distracts people, studio heads, everyone - they get nervous.
"But I’m ready to work and I’m responsible." Reports about Lohan’s mental health have been rampant since before she split from girlfriend Samantha Ronson last month (Mar09), but Lohan insists she’s OK - and friends like fellow actress Natalie Portman are helping her focus on her career.
Lohan added, "I have some really great friends. Natalie Portman’s been there for me through everything."

EMINEM’s comeback is complete - his new hit WE MADE YOU has entered the new U.S. pop chart at number nine, giving the rapper his best Billboard Hot 100 debut to date.
While the Black Eyed Peas’ Boom Boom Pow claims a third week at the top of the chart, all eyes are on Eminem.
Green Day also make a return to the chart, scoring the week’s second highest debut with Know Your Enemy at 40 - their highest chart entry.

NATALIE IMBRUGLIA has used her own experiences for a new movie role - the singer suffers spells of depression.
The Torn hitmaker plays a woman with a mood disorder in forthcoming film Closed for Winter, and the scenes were more than a little harrowing for the Australian star.
She says, "For all my strength, I also have that vulnerable side. There’s something - a melancholy, I guess. Sometimes I get a bit down." Imbruglia insists it’s a family trait: "I see it in a couple of my sisters too. We can lean towards that, that melancholy. But we also have the ability to pull ourselves out of it, and some people just don’t. That’s the difference."

EMINEM has made light of his history with drug dependency in a viral campaign promoting his highly-anticipated new album RELAPSE.
The Without Me hitmaker, real name Marshall Mathers III, checked into a rehabilitation facility in 2005, in an effort to kick an addiction to sleeping pills, and he’s poking fun at his experiences with substance abuse by posting a snap of himself outside a bogus clinic on social networking site Twitter.com.
The seemingly innocent photo, which first appeared on Thursday (23Apr09), features the caption: "Marshall checking into Popsomp Hills." But sharp-witted fans caught on to the joke immediately - Popsomp Hills said quickly sounds similar to "pop some pills".
A website set up in the imaginary rehab centre’s name, PopsompHills.com - and linked to from Emimem’s official site, bears the slogan ‘We Remade You’, a direct play on Eminem’s hit new single We Made You.
And that’s not all - prankster Eminem claims the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan facility was founded by a "Dr. Balzac", and links the website to the Wikipedia.com page for hell.
But, for fans who fail to pick up on the elaborate hoax, there’s one last laugh in the website’s terms and conditions: "We tell our staff all of your secrets. All confidential information provided to us during the course of your treatment will ultimately be used against you. Life is too short, party harder than ever. We can help." The internet prank comes just days after Eminem unveiled the album artwork for his May (09) release - the cover image of the rapper is sculpted from pills of assorted shapes, sizes and colours.

Reggae legend BOB MARLEY’s ONE LOVE has been named Jamaica’s unofficial national anthem in a new poll.
The laidback tune topped a list of Jamaica’s 100 best songs over the past 50 years, as decided by a panel of West Indies scholars, musicians and dignitaries.
Marley landed nine songs in the top 100 and his Simmer Down also made the top 10 - at nine.
One Love was a clear winner, ahead of the Folkes Brothers’ O Carolina, which was also a hit for Shaggy, and ska heroes The Maytals’ 54-45, which came in third.
Organised by scholars at the University of the West Indies, the panel included Sly & Robbie star Sly Dunbar and Jamaica’s former Finance and Planning Minister Omar Davies.

MIA FARROW is fattening herself up to prepare for a three-week fast, planned to raise awareness of the plight of starving refugees in Sudan.
The actress will live off just water from the end of April (09), despite doctors fears she could cause irreversible damage to her body.
Farrow admits she’s a "little bit" scared about the stunt, but has bulked up in a bid to help her body cope with 21 days without food - and she is looking forward to a last supper of "a fist full of aging chocolate Easter eggs".
The Rosemary’s Baby star tells People.com, "I gained nine pounds. That is about as much as I could gain in a month because I know I am going to lose a fourth of my body mass. But that will quickly go. I am just eating fruit and vegetables this week and I am reading certain things and spending time with my kids, trying to be quiet, because among other things it is a very personal and spiritual journey.
"I’m taking vitamins this week, but when I wake up on Monday, April 27, it will be strictly water." Farrow admits she may not last the full three weeks - because of her small frame: "I am going to try for three weeks. Given my weight, that may not come to pass. I am going to get my blood tested after two weeks and if there is organ damage, I will have to stop. But my goal is three weeks.
"I won’t be able to go to the doctor at that point, someone is going to have to come to the house and give me a blood test."

The ambulance driver allegedly struck by MICHAEL JACKSON’s chauffeur is due to undergo treatment for head injuries related to the incident.
The singer’s driver is accused of sideswiping an ambulance and breaking off its wing mirror as he went to pick up Jackson at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday (22Apr09).
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Jamin Mauro claims he had parked the ambulance in an alleyway outside the hospital and was eating lunch in the vehicle with his partner when a dark blue Escalade struck the driver’s side door.
The pair allegedly watched as the man behind the wheel jumped out and walked to the building’s entrance to greet Jackson, who climbed into the back of the waiting car, before they sped off.
The technicians will see doctors on Thursday (23Apr09), with Mauro claiming the collision caused his head to strike the driver’s side window and gave his partner head and elbow injuries.
Beverly Hills Police have confirmed a hit-and-run accident occurred at around 3.20pm (local time) involving "a dark coloured SUV" that was "being followed by a group of paparazzi at the time of the collision…" The reason behind Jackson’s hospital visit was unknown as WENN went to press, but the singer, who was wearing a surgical mask during the trip, has been plagued by rumours of ill health for months.
Among the ailments internet gossips claim Jackson is suffering from are a flesh-eating infection and a deadly lung condition known as Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (A1AD).
Meanwhile Jackson’s spokesperson has issused a statement assuring fans the star was not directly involved in the collision, telling TMZ.com: "He is doing fine. M.J. is okay; it was not bad."

One of the jailed founders of music downloading site The Pirate Bay has demanded a retrial after discovering the judge who sentenced him has links to copyright protection organisations.
Peter Sunde - along with Frederik Neij, Gottfrid Svartholm Warg and Carl Lundstrom - was convicted at a court in Sweden on Friday (17Apr09), and sentenced to a year in prison after he was found guilty of breaching copyright laws.
The four men were also ordered to pay $3.48 million (£2.4 million) in damages to a number of entertainment companies, including Warner Bros, EMI, and Columbia Pictures, whose executives accused the file-sharing site of facilitating illegal downloads.
They denied the charges throughout the trial, claiming that because they did not actually host any files, they were not doing anything wrong. They plan to appeal against their conviction.
And now Sunde’s lawyer has called for a retrial after finding out Judge Tomas Norström is a member of the same copyright protection organisations as some of the main entertainment industry representatives in the trial.
But Norström insists his involvement with the organisations had no effect on his ruling in the case.
He says, "My view has been that these activities do not constitute a conflict of interest."
