SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s forthcoming Las Vegas gig has whipped fans into a frenzy - three devotees have been caught stealing memorabilia magazines from the concert venue.
The former Beatle is set to open the Hard Rock Hotel’s renovated venue The Joint on Sunday night (19Apr09), but three eager fans couldn’t wait for the main event, and were snatched by hotel staff stealing boxes of hotel magazines with McCartney on the cover.
According to TMZ.com the three unnamed thieves were all in their 50s.

ASHTON KUTCHER is celebrating after beating news giant CNN to one million Twitter.com followers - and now he plans to prank the network’s owner TED TURNER, and film it.
In the early hours of Friday (17Apr09), Kutcher claimed victory in the week-long Twitter battle with CNN after his social networking account swelled by over 150,000 members in just four days.
And the actor appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show in America on Friday to claim victory.
Calling him "the king of Twitter", Oprah linked up with the technology-loving star from his office in California.
Kutcher said, "In some ways this is kind of a commentary on the state of media. I believe we are at a place now with social media where one person’s voice can be as powerful as a news network - an entire media network.
"That is the power of the social web… Through your own stream (you) can have a voice that’s as loud as a media network." Kutcher admitted he loves the social networking medium - because it allows him to post items directly online without mediation from the media: "My life is somewhat on display anyway, and always not by choice… I can publish pictures and videos of myself that have already been pre-approved and that I’m happy with.
"And then on top of it you can really rally people around different causes… There are giant things that we can do through this platform." The actor explained he is using Twitter.com to highlight the issues of malaria in Africa, and raise awareness about the disease.
Celebrating his victory over CNN, Kutcher revealed he plans to "ding-dong-ditch" Ted Turner’s house while he’s in Georgia filming new movie Five Killers.

Pop superstar BEYONCE is lending her voice to hit pre-school children’s show WOW! WOW! WUBBZY! The singer/actress will play Shine, the star of The Wubb Girlz band, on the animated comedy series.
The Grammy Award winner’s cartoon character will make her debut on the Nickelodeon show at the end of April (09).
She says, "I’m so happy to be a part of ‘Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!’ because I’m finally able to impress my nephew. I can identify with Shine, having grown up in Destiny’s Child. The Wubb Girlz are all about unity (and) they sing cool harmonies." The Sing a Song tune The Wubb Girlz perform on the show will be available as a download on iTunes and other digital outlets from 21 April (09).
Beyonce’s week-long stint on the hit kids’ show will culminate with a Wubb Idol talent contest episode on 1 May (09).

U2 star THE EDGE has gone to war with celebrity neighbours in Malibu, California over his home development plans.
The rocker, real name David Evans wants to build five homes atop a hill high above the seaside town, but his hopes are being challenged by locals, who fear the building will ruin the local environment.
And the proposal has upset locals who live in the exclusive Serra Retreat neighbourhood; these include Dick Van Dyke, Kelsey Grammer and James Cameron.
Malibu councillor Jefferson Wagner tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "The downside of this is a permanently scarred mountainside for the benefit of a very few that for many years all will view.
"For somebody so revered even to be orchestrating this type of development in such a sensitive area is hypocritical." But The Edge’s representative, Jim Vanden Berg, fires back, explaining the Irish star and his partner are taking pains to ensure that the development will “create a sense of place that respects the environment (and) architecture that will stand the test of time."

Country star BRAD PAISLEY is a dad again - his actress wife KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY has given birth to the couple’s second son.
The Father of The Bride star, 37, gave birth to a baby boy in a Nashville, Tennessee hospital on Friday morning (17Apr09).
The couple had to wait almost two weeks for the new baby to arrive; he was due the night of the Academy of Country Music Awards on 5 April (09).
The yet-to-be-named tot is a little brother for two-year-old William Hukleberry Paisley.
Of the couple’s wait to become parents again, singer Paisley recently said, "There’s nothing we can do about it. Well, there is, but we’re not doing that." And he told People.com, the couple’s two-year-old son was beginning to doubt he was set to become a big brother: "I think maybe Huck’s not buying it anymore. We keep saying, ‘You’re going to be a big brother,’ and I sense he’s like, ‘Yeah, right! They’re full of c**p!’"

The Screen Actors Guild and Hollywood’s top studio executives have reached a deal on a tentative new TV and theatrical agreement package, which will end nine months of tense negotiations.
The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and SAG bosses announced the parties have shaken hands on successor agreements to the Producer-Screen Actors Guild Codified Basic Agreement.
Details of the agreement covering television programming and movies will not be disclosed prior to review by the SAG national board of directors on Sunday (19Apr09).
If the deal is agreed it will end strike threats - the first Hollywood industrial action since the writers strike in 2007 and 2008.
Screen Actors Guild officials rejected what was called the "last, best and final offer" from Hollywood’s biggest film studios for a new contract in February (09).
The union, which represents approximately 120,000 actors, voted by nearly 75 per cent to turn down the offer over the studios’ demand that the contract begin from when it is signed.
The national governing board of the Screen Actors Guild wants the deal to start from when the last one expired in June last year (08).

THE HILLS stars HEIDI MONTAG and SPENCER PRATT have reportedly brought their marriage plans forward after applying for a licence in Beverly Hills this week (ends17Apr09).
The couple, who staged a commitment ceremony in Mexico last year (Nov08), decided against making their marriage legal at the last minute. But now they’re ready to exchange vows.
And, according to TMZ.com, Montag will become Mrs. Pratt on Saturday (18Apr09) - a week ahead of schedule.
Last week (ends10Feb09), sources told Eonline.com the reality TV pair was planning a small ceremony on 25 April (09) in Pasadena, California - and that the nuptials would be filmed for the season finale of The Hills.
But TMZ reports the couple is planning an intimate Beverly Hills affair on Saturday.

MICKEY ROURKE teared up when he received a heartfelt letter from his 9½ WEEKS co-star KIM BASINGER, expressing how much she loved THE WRESTLER.
The movie star admits the note from his old friend meant as much to him as winning accolades for the film.
He recalls, "Coming from her, it was very special and it was very generous and heartfelt letter. It brought me to tears, really." The pair reunited for the first time in 23 years on the red carpet at the premiere for their new movie The Informers in Hollywood on Thursday (16Apr09), and Rourke admits he was very nervous about meeting the screen beauty again.

Racing driver and U.S. TV’s DANCING WITH THE STARS champion HELIO CASTRONEVES has been cleared of tax evasion by a Miami, Florida court.
The 33 year old was arrested last year (08) by cops investigating an alleged scam involving Castroneves, his sister Katiucia and his attorney Alan Miller.
Authorities accused the trio of hiding more than $5.5 million (£3.69 million) in Castroneves’ earnings between 1999 and 2004.
He was charged with six counts of federal tax evasion and one count of conspiracy.
But on Friday (17Apr09), a jury ended a six-week trial and six days of deliberations by acquitting him of all the tax evasion charges; they were hung on the conspiracy charge and asked the judge to declare a mistrial.
Speaking outside the court, Castroneves told reporters, "I just want to thank God, and my fans, and all of the people who prayed for me. It has been a very difficult place to be in."

FARRAH FAWCETT’s troubled son REDMOND O’NEAL has been given one last chance to kick his drug habit in a rehab recovery programme.
The 24 year old, whose father is actor Ryan O’Neal, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday morning (17Apr09) in relation to his September (08) arrest, when he was busted at his dad’s Malibu, California home and charged with felony drug possession.
Redmond, who had previously insisted he was not guilty, changed his plea on Friday to no contest.
Judge Scott Millington transferred the case to another court, which would allow Redmond to seek professional help in beating his ongoing addiction to illegal substances, and set sentencing for 30 April (09).
During the hearing, embattled Redmond expressed his disappointment in his actions, and credited his mother’s ailing health - as she battles anal cancer - for giving him the motivation to get clean.
Speaking in a barely audible voice, he told the court, "I want to be there for my mother. She weighs about 86 pounds. I’m upset with myself. My timing sucks." Millington acknowledged his remorse but warned Redmond he would be sent to jail if he failed to succeed in what would be his fourth attempt at rehab.
The judge said, "Understand if I see you in that seat again, it’s not going to be pretty." Redmond is also facing other charges of probation violation stemming from his June 2008 conviction for driving under the influence (DUI), as well as other drug counts relating to his 5 April (09) arrest while visiting an incarcerated pal at a California detention centre.
Neither Fawcett nor Redmond’s father attended the court hearing.

MEL GIBSON’s lawyer has moved to strike the judge overseeing his divorce trial from the proceedings.
Gibson’s wife Robyn filed to end the couple’s 28-year marriage on Monday (13Apr09) and the movie star’s attorney is unhappy with the judge allocated the case.
Bob Kaufman filed legal papers on Thursday (16Apr09), asking for the removal of Judge Rafael Ongkeko, according to TMZ.com.
In the papers, Kaufman insists he doesn’t believe his client can "have a fair and impartial trial or hearing" before the judge.
Gibson’s wife cited "irreconcilable differences" for the split and she is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s youngest son, Tom - their only minor child. She is also asking for spousal support and attorneys fees.
Robyn has hired top divorce lawyer Laura Wasser to represent her in the case. Wasser has handled divorces for Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder.
