ROSS DEFENDS PRISON OFFICER PAST IN NEW SONG

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:45 pm

Rapper RICK ROSS has defended his past as a prison guard in a new song, insisting he shouldn’t be criticised for trying to make an honest living.
The Hustlin’ star, real name William Roberts II, has come under fire for portraying himself as one of Miami, Florida’s biggest drug dealers when he actually worked as a correctional officer before rising to fame as a rapper.
50 Cent has used Ross’ former career as ammunition in their ongoing war of words, and even claims to have video footage of his rap rival wearing his guard uniform.
But Ross is attempting to play down the controversy in new track Valley of Death, insisting a correctional officer’s job is not like working for the police force.
Ross also hints that he was working on the streets as a dealer while still under employment at the prison, declaring he had "two jobs", reports MTV.com.
He says on the track, "N**ga never had a gun and badge/Can’t criticise n**gas trying to get a job."
