The sexy star kicks off her saucy stage production Peepshow in Sin City next week (18Apr09) and admits she needed a little help getting ready for the racy show.
She tells People.com, "My friend hypnotised me before I started rehearsals to have a real open mind. I was getting a bit nervous. My anxiety was getting to me. I was hypnotised to calm me down and it worked."

Auctioneers behind a massive 1,390-item MICHAEL JACKSON sale in Los Angeles are desperately trying to resolve a feud with the King of Pop as viewing on the memorabilia haul begins.
The auction is set to take place at Julien’s Auctions on 22 and 23 April (09) but Jackson’s lawyers are still fighting for an injunction, claiming certain items, including a carousel horse with an inscription from Elizabeth Taylor, are irreplaceable and that Jackson had not signed the auction contract.
A judge has already dismissed the attempt to have the contract ruled invalid, but Jackson is seeking a preliminary injunction to delay the sale. His arguments will be heard in court in Los Angeles on Wednesday (15Apr09).
But auction house executive director Martin Nolan insists the sale will go ahead as planned.
He tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "Our attorneys are working with their attorneys to resolve this and we are focusing on completing the job we were hired to do per our contract." The auction items have been divided into three sections - stage wear and music memorabilia, toys and furniture and decorative arts.
The Times reports it took auction house staff three months to clear Jackson’s former Neverland Ranch home in California and Julien’s CEO Darren Julien admits he was left staggered by Jacko’s collection of stuff.
He says, "Michael Jackson is bigger than life. His collecting tastes say that as well. When he wanted something, he bought it." Nolan tells the publication, "Neverland represents Michael Jackson’s Xanadu. There’s something for everyone, from paintings to porcelain to bicycles." Highlight items include a tour bus, bumper cars, a Rolls Royce limousine personally styled by Jackson and iconic stage gear, including his black fedora and diamond-studded glove.
Auctioneers expect the haul to fetch between $10 and $20 million (£6.6 to £13.3 million).

BEN AFFLECK is beginning to have second thoughts about shooting famous comedy skit I’M F**KING BEN AFFLECK for U.S. late night show JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE! - because he worries his kids will see the video one day.
The movie star hit the headlines with comedian Kimmel when they shot the all-star video response to I’m F**king Matt Damon - the skit Kimmel’s then-girlfriend Sarah Silverman shot as a birthday gift for her boyfriend.
The video became an instant Internet classic, but Affleck is beginning to think that’s not such a good thing.
Appearing on Kimmel’s show on Monday night (13Apr09), he questioned, "How long do you think the whole Internet thing is gonna last? Are people gonna get sick of that in five, 10 years, maybe? "They (my kids) won’t get to be, like, 15, 16, typing in, like, the word ‘F**k’ and their father’s name - a kid wouldn’t do that, right? "This just completely undermines all parental authority I would ever have." And he can’t believe how many people have seen the naughty video, in which Affleck and Kimmel play gay lovers. He has been reminded of the 2008 post-Oscars skit by friends and family members, delivery men and even little old ladies.
He explained, "I had a woman, a true matronly woman, who was definitely in her mid to late 70s sit next to me on a plane and she goes, ‘I love the Kimmel film!’"

SALMA HAYEK, UMA THURMAN and DEBRA MESSING are among the hard-working mums who will be honoured for their charitable efforts at the third annual Cookie magazine awards.
The film stars will be among seven mothers celebrated by the publication later this month (Apr09).
Thrilled Hayek says, "I think that in some ways, all women are mothers. It’s in our nature to protect, to nurture, and to feel empathy; this programming just kicks in more strongly when you have children.
"I used to do a lot of fieldwork on my own, mostly with women who were survivors of domestic abuse in Central America, South America, India, and Africa. That was so amazing, and, yes, I did some good. But, after having a baby, I found I became so much more vulnerable.
"I needed to get involved with something that was tangible, and that we could really stop: I needed the psychological ‘We can do this!’ I started working with UNICEF on raising money for and awareness of the tetanus-vaccination campaign." Meanwhile, Thurman explains her charity endeavours started close to home: "I got involved with (charity) Room to Grow on the ground floor… 10 years ago, I lived in the same brownstone as founder Julie Burns, who was just starting it. I was expecting my first child, and we got to know each other in the tiny foyer, where I would see her come in with bags and bags of baby goods.
"My main function is in fundraising for the organisation, which provides clothing, gear, and developmental toys to children ages zero to three who are living in poverty in New York City and Boston.
"Clients of Room to Grow meet with social workers on a regular basis for two hours at a time; it’s very dignified and private. People can contribute in a million ways. Volunteering for the clothing and book drives is valuable, and so are donations. When I had my second baby shower, I told people not to give me anything, but to send gifts directly to Room to Grow… It’s great to be able to help another mother who has all the same aspirations for her children you do but lacks the resources."

Country star BRAD PAISLEY’s actress wife KIMBERLY WILLIAMS-PAISLEY is desperate to go into labour - the couple’s second child is now more than a week overdue.
Kimberly was due to give birth on 5 April (09) but the newest addition to the Paisley family still hasn’t arrived and the pair’s patience is wearing thin.
The singer says, "There’s nothing we can do about it. Well, there is, but we’re not doing that. We’re actually probably going to miss these times when things are simple. Attorneys working for music producer PHIL SPECTOR have confirmed they will appeal his murder conviction, insisting the testimony of past girlfriends swayed the jury’s decision.
The mogul was jailed on Monday (13Apr09) after jurors in Los Angeles found him guilty of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, who died from a gunshot wound in Spector’s Alhambra, California mansion in 2003.
And his lawyer Doron Weinberg immediately made plans for an appeal, claiming prosecutors stacked the evidence against his client by calling on the testimony of ex-girlfriends, who claimed they’d been victims of Spector’s gun-loving, violent ways.
Weinberg said the judge’s decision to allow the women to testify about events stretching back three decades would be among the grounds for appeal.
Weinberg says, "We believe analytically there is absolutely no legal basis for the admissibility of that evidence." But the attorney reveals Spector knew a conviction was likely when jurors announced they had reached a verdict almost six months after the retrial began.
He adds, "Mr. Spector is a realistic man." At a news conference held after Monday’s verdict, a jury spokeswoman revealed the panel was swayed by the "totality" of the evidence against Spector, laid out during the retrial.

MILEY CYRUS is asking a judge to toss out a racism lawsuit filed against her, insisting the woman suing her is just seeking to "harass and embarrass" the star.
Lucie J. Kim filed a lawsuit back in February (09), on behalf of the one million-plus Asian-Pacific Islanders who call Los Angeles home, after photos showing Cyrus and a group of male pals appearing to mock Asians by pulling on their eyes were leaked online.
Kim is seeking $1 billion (£666 million).
Cyrus’ lawyers have struck back, filing documents asking the judge to sanction Kim’s lawyers for launching "a manifestly frivolous" lawsuit that serves as a "publicity stunt in an effort to publicly embarrass and harass (Cyrus) and to obtain a large and quick class-action settlement".
According to TMZ.com, the teen superstar’s legal team is also asking Kim to pay her legal bills so far, which add up to $26,685 (£18,030).

Actress/model JENNY MCCARTHY has confessed her stunning Shape magazine cover shot was altered - so freckles and stretchmarks were removed.
The star, who recently revealed she’d undergone Botox treatment, wowed fans with the sexy shot, which featured her wearing a bikini - but she admits the photo isn’t for real.
Talking about her look for the cover shot, McCarthy says, "It’s eating healthy and also a c**p load of airbrushing… I keep myself in very good shape… but it is definitely a little touched up.
"I have freckles… and stretchmarks that you do not see here, and they add a little shadowing to make these muscle things happen that don’t exist on my body." Appearing on Tuesday’s (14Apr09) Ellen show in the U.S., McCarthy also revealed she uses a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, like the one Michael Jackson once boasted, to help her stay trim and looking good.
She revealed, "It is an awesome thing… It treats inflammation, it prevents cancer (and) neurological disorders… It’s gonna be imperative for everyone one day… There are rentals… It’ll cost you $50 (£34) for a session.
"It actually detoxes you and jet-lag, it helps with that… It’s just like a tanning spa." And her love of the oxygen treatments have rubbed off on boyfriend Jim Carrey, who is now also a fan.
McCarthy added, "Jim goes in all the time. I got him hooked. He said, ‘I thought you were crazy, Jenny, and then I tried it and I can’t believe how much better I feel.’" The actress is such a fan she has had an OxyHealth chamber installed at her home.

Actor SHIA LABEOUF has revealed he came an inch from blindness after a stunt went awry on the set of the TRANSFORMERS sequel.
The incident was played down when it took place last October (09), and LaBeouf was treated by military doctors on the set at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico - but now the actor has spoken out about the drama.
He tells Entertainment Weekly magazine, "I basically stuck a f**king sharp object through my eyelid.
"They stitched me up in a military hospital. The doctor looks at me and he holds his thumb and forefinger about an inch apart from one another. I said, ‘What is that?’ He said, ‘Blindness.’" LaBeouf tells the publication the shoot was a physical challenge for him - and not just because he crushed his left hand in a car accident just after shooting had begun.
He adds, "This movie was the most physical thing I’ve ever had to do, and I had to do it with a broken hand. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do in my life.
"(I was) constantly having to take hits and fall and run through explosions and get hit and beat up all day. Aside from my hand, I also got 25 stitches making this movie, in various parts of my body - stuff that had nothing to do with my hand." A soldier who was among the extras in scenes at Holloman witnessed the injury that almost cost LaBeouf his sight in one eye. He told WENN last year (08), "We were all pretty impressed. To get up from a movie explosion, which leaves you injured, and get back in there is cool. He’s got broken fingers from his car crash this summer (08) and now his eyelid has been slashed open. He’s lucky he still has his sight.
"He was treated at the clinic at the airforce base and then a local ophthalmologist came by to check on his eye. He was in the clinic for about four hours and then he returned to the set once the swelling had gone down."

A warrant for the arrest of pregnant model/actress ANGIE EVERHART has been issued in Los Angeles after she failed to appear in court to pay a fine last week (06Apr09).
Everhart was scheduled to appear in court last Monday to pay a $50 (GBP33.30) drink driving fine, but she failed to show, according to TMZ.com.
As a result, a judge has issued a bench warrant for the star’s arrest, and revoked her probation.
The 39 year old was arrested in April last year (08) after failing a sobriety test in Los Angeles. She was charged with one count of driving under the influence.

MARIAH CAREY has moved her personal trainer into her Los Angeles home to help her get back into shape, following criticism of her fuller figure.
The superstar has attracted unflattering comments about her curves after photos of Carey visiting her husband Nick Cannon’s relatives in San Diego, California on Sunday (12Apr09) surfaced online.
But Carey insists she is working hard to get back into shape and has since taken to social networking site Twitter.com to vent her frustration.
She writes, "Looking at some paparazzi shots from Easter… I don’t know what was worse, the bleak angles and bright peach dress… or the b.s. (bulls**t) commentary/blogs.
"It was Easter and we were trying to be nice so we just walked out Nick’s aunt’s front door despite the paparazzi who had followed us ALL the way to San Diego! I figured, why not give them a pic even tho (though) I look a stone mess after a long festive day…

RACHEL MCADAMS is calling on her new movie co-star BEN AFFLECK to run for political office in the U.S. - insisting the actor would be "a real asset to the country".
Affleck has been candid about his aspirations to one day swap Hollywood for a career in Washington, D.C., and McAdams admits she is impressed with how well he took to playing a congressman in their new movie State of Play.
The Canadian star has even offered to help campaign for Affleck whenever he decides to run for office - even though she’s ineligible to vote.

NATALIE COLE refuses to let illness stop her performing, and underwent gruelling chemotherapy treatment in her dressing room backstage at concerts.
The singer underwent a bout of the aggressive therapy in a bid to beat hepatitis C.
The treatment coincided with a world tour, but instead of checking into a hospital and taking time off from her busy schedule, Cole carried on performing.
The 59-year-old tells gossip columnist Liz Smith, "Whatever horror stories you have heard about chemo is true. It is absolutely one of the most debilitating and difficult experiences that could ever happen to a human being. Trying to perform was a real challenge. Just picture an IV (intravenous) hanging from a wardrobe rack in my dressing room in Japan as I tried to prepare for two shows in a night." Sadly for Cole - who blames her hepatits on her past addictions to cocaine and heroin - the chemotherapy caused her kidneys to fail, and she’s now hoping for a life-saving transplant.

MILEY CYRUS has been honoured by the youth division of animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - for her kindness to chickens.
The actress/singer adopted one of the birds that featured in her new film Hannah Montana: The Movie, and made sure the other poultry co-stars found good homes - and her actions have earned her a Compassionate Citizen Award from peta2.
A PETA spokeswoman tells WENN, "She packed up a few of the birds and sent them home with her mother. Cyrus reportedly felt sorry for the chickens because they were sad to be working.
"This isn’t the first time that Cyrus has stepped in to help animals. Last year, she and her dad, Billy Ray, found a lost dog in her neighbourhood and stayed with the dog until he was reunited with his guardian." And PETA boss Dan Shannon adds, "Miley’s heart is as big as her smile. We hope that her act of compassion will inspire her fans to be kind to animals too." Cyrus will receive a framed certificate and a card signed by PETA staffers.

Father-to-be NAS is having such difficulty coming up with baby names for his first child with singer wife KELIS, he’s considering asking fans for suggestions.
The I Can hitmaker, real name Nasir Jones, recently announced he and Kelis are expecting a baby boy later this year (09).
But Nas, who has a daughter named Destiny from a previous relationship, admits thinking up unique names for the tot is proving harder than he expected - so he’s contemplating launching a poll online.
He tells MTV.com, "Yeah, (we are deciding between) a few baby names. It’s kinda hard.
"I’ve been thinking about kinda putting something online: ‘Choose his name’. You get a couple stacks (financial reward) for that. We take care of you for that. You win something real. But we’re thinking now."

Rapper LIL’ KIM has laughed off her wardrobe malfunction during Monday night’s (13Apr09) episode of U.S. TV show DANCING WITH THE STARS, when she almost exposed her breasts live on air.
The busty star performed an energetic jive with professional partner Derek Hough for the competition, but after completing the dance, Kim’s skimpy top slipped down and nearly showed off more flesh than she intended.
However, show presenter Tom Bergeron came to Kim’s rescue and stepped forward to shield her from the cameras as she readjusted her costume.
Addressing the incident, Kim tells OK! magazine, "Oh, the girls were trying to come out again! I hate it when they do that, they’re so nosy!" The costume malfunction didn’t affect the judges’ opinions of her jive - Kim won high praise from the panel and scored a total of 28 out of 30, making her one of the favourites to win the competition.
