The stand-up comedian and sitcom star credits the bust-up with inspiring his comedy career.
He reveals, "I was a banquet waiter. I had to do weddings. I worked hard, but that career ended when I got in a fistfight with a groom. That propelled me into a full-time career in comedy."

Reality TV star LAUREN CONRAD’s has landed a new acting role - as the girlfriend of a dog in hit animated comedy FAMILY GUY.
Conrad - whose dating escapades are played out in reality TV show The Hills - plays herself in the episode, in which family dog Brian dates her as a disguise for his true affections.
Series creator Seth MacFarlane is reluctant to tells viewers who Brian is really sniffing out, though promotional shots for the show reveal Conrad’s former co-star Whitney Port will also make an appearance.
The episode is scheduled to air on 3 May (09).

Reality TV star/model TILA TEQUILA is terrified after a crazed stalker broke into her luxury home, wrecked the living room, and locked her dog in the trunk of her car.
The bisexual beauty was at a friend’s Easter barbecue on Sunday night (12Apr09) when a burglar broke into the property and smashed up furniture and Tequila’s belongings.
The pin-up blames a stalker for the sinister incident - and she is so scared she has fled the home in West Hollywood, California to stay with pals.
In a series of posts on social networking website Twitter.com, Tequila writes: "Someone did indeed break into my house. It’s been a very scary night for me… Too much has happened. I am scared, exhausted and drained but I am ok! Want to apologize to my fans who were worried about me.
"I’m moving into a different house very soon because I have a stalker who is very much so endangering my life at the moment… They broke everything in my living room….EVERYTHING IS SHATTERED! I’m so sad right now….this sucks.
"Then I found my dog locked in the trunk of my car!!!!!!!!!! I’ve been crying all night. This is f**ked up. I’m sad and shocked… I’m still shaking and crying! My dog in the trunk of the car, house is shattered, everything is smashed! I’m staying at a friends house 2nite."

MEL GIBSON’s 28-year marriage appears to be over - his wife, ROBYN, has filed for divorce.
The legal documents, obtained by TMZ.com, were filed in Los Angeles on Monday (13Apr09). The actor’s wife has cited "irreconcilable differences" for the split.
The Gibsons wed in 1980 and have seven children.
In the legal papers, Robyn is seeking joint physical and legal custody of the couple’s youngest son, Tom - their only minor child. She is also asking for spousal support and attorneys fees.
Robyn has reportedly hired Laura Wasser to represent her in the case; Wasser has handled divorces for Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears and Stevie Wonder.
The couple, who reportedly has no prenuptial agreement, have vowed not to release further details regarding their split.
A spokesperson for Mel and Robyn Gibson has issued a statement that reads, "Throughout our marriage and separation we have always strived to maintain the privacy and integrity of our family and will continue to do so."

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star ZAC EFRON is prepared to abandon the fans who helped him find fame - so he can ditch his ‘teen star’ tag.
The 21-year-old’s role in the Disney musical franchise helped Efron amass a huge teen following.
But the actor is desperate to take his career in a new direction, and recently bowed out of a movie remake of Kevin Bacon’s Footloose for dark drama The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud - about a caretaker at a cemetery who has weekly meetings with the ghost of his deceased younger brother.
And Efron accepts his decision may cost him his fanbase.

Rocker CHRIS CORNELL shocked fans with a hair-raising encore at a recent New York City concert - he shaved his guitarist’s head on stage.
The former Soundgarden frontman had nearly finished his show at Manhattan’s Webster Hall on Friday (10Apr09) when he returned on stage with a pair of clippers.
And his sidekick Yogi Lonich made the crowd roar with a three-minute guitar solo while his long mane fell to the floor.
One concertgoer tells the New York Daily News, "He shaved (his guitarist) completely bald - and that guy had at least 12 inches of hair!�

British singer CRAIG DAVID was stunned his album BORN TO DO IT came second to MICHAEL JACKSON’s THRILLER in a poll of the greatest ever records - but admits he is "flattered" by the honour.
The soul star’s debut disc, released in the U.K. in 2000 and the following year in the U.S., came runner-up in MTV’s Greatest Album Ever survey.
The shock result saw the 7 Days hitmaker triumph over best-selling classics such as Appetite For Destruction by Guns N’ Roses, Radiohead’s OK Computer, and Nirvana’s Nevermind.
And he admits he was surprised when he heard music fans had voted Born To Do It second to Thriller.
David tells MTV, "To come just behind the king of pop is incredibly flattering, because you know what - I grew up listening to that guy’s music. To know that it was a vote across the board as opposed to people who just listen to R’n'B or hip-hop music is wicked. Joshua Tree by U2 is in there - I mean there are some massive albums in there." And David insists the result is due to the cultural impact his debut record had at the time of its release: "I guess looking back in hindsight it was a real movement at that period of time… It was just an absolute phenomenon.
"It’s incredibly flattering - I’m very honoured to have the record in that place, it’s wicked."

DR. DRE was forced to scrap an onstage reunion with rappers and EMINEM and SNOOP DOGG at the last minute - after his bodyguards were involved in a car accident.
Snoop Dogg was to be joined by "surprise guests" Dre and Eminem when he took the stage for the Our World Live concert in Los Angeles on Tuesday (07Apr09), according to the New York Daily News.
But Dre bowed out after his security staff crashed their car in bad weather, and the rapper was advised not to attend without bodyguards.
And Snoop was left to hit the stage solo when Eminem also pulled out of the lineup, because he reportedly refused to hit the stage without his rap mentor, Dre.
No further details of the car accident were available as WENN went to press.

RAY WINSTONE and KEIRA KNIGHTLEY are set to play unlikely lovers in a new gangster movie.
The pair has signed to star alongside Colin Farrell and Anna Friel in London Boulevard, The Departed screenwriter William Monahan’s directorial debut.
Winstone will play a criminal who is released from prison and becomes romantically involved with a reclusive actress, played by Knightley.
It’s not the first time the British pair has shared the big screen - they were co-stars in 2004 film King Arthur.
The new movie will begin shooting in the British capital this summer (09).

DREW BARRYMORE left the set of upcoming TV movie GREY GARDENS with an irritating skin condition - after developing an allergy to the heavy makeup she was forced to wear while filming.
Barrymore plays former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis’ cousin Little Edie Beale - a recluse who lived in poverty, filth and cat faeces in a decayed 28-room mansion in The Hamptons, New York.
And the actress is still haunted by her dark movie role - the makeup that turned her into an old lady also left her skin peeling and sore.
She tells the New York Post, "Depending on the scenes we were shooting, I’d have to sit in that makeup chair four to six hours every single day. Just ageing the face and hands took four hours. Then, taking it off, was another hour and a half…
"My face suffered as a result. We ended up with skin issues I’d never had before because I developed an allergy to chemicals in isopropyl, the alcohol used in removing cosmetics. A constancy of prosthetics also created a sensitivity to adhesives, and our makeup people had to find alternatives."

Singer MELANIE BROWN explored her spiritual side after her split from EDDIE MURPHY - she eased her heartache by meditating.
The former Spice Girl had a short-lived romance with the Beverly Hills Cop star in 2006, and gave birth to his daughter Angel Iris in April 2007.
And Brown admits she found it easy to put the relationship behind her - by taking part in meditation sessions.

Rapper BOW WOW feels shunned by the music industry, insisting he has more chance of winning an Oscar than a Grammy.
The 22-year-old - real name Shad Gregory Moss - is already a veteran of the music scene, with seven studio albums under his belt.
But despite selling millions of records, the hip-hop star has never won a coveted Grammy Award.
And Bow Wow - who has also acted in a string of TV shows and films - is adamant he has a greater chance of scooping an Academy Award than grabbing one of music’s top honours.
He says, "I think I have a better chance at getting an Oscar before a Grammy. The music industry is so fickle, there’s so many politics. I think a lot of people don’t pay attention to the credits or the artistry no more. I think there’s so much concern about what’s going on right now instead of the actual artistry. But that’s how the record business is. But for acting, I got that covered."

MATHEW HORNE has been blasted by fellow Brit actor DANNY DYER - the FOOTBALL FACTORY star slammed the funnyman’s onscreen performances as "absolute rubbish".
Lesbian Vampire Killers star Horne first rose to fame in the U.K. in hit TV comedy series Gavin & Stacey.
But movie tough-guy Dyer has savaged Horne in a foul-mouthed rant - blasting his acting skills and mocking his image.

A prominent human rights activist has blasted Samoa’s film censors for banning SEAN PENN’s Oscar-winning movie MILK.
Samoa’s Censorship Board has rejected an application for DVDs of the movie - which is based on the life of gay activist Harvey Milk - to be distributed in stores.
Principal Censor Leiataua Niuapu Faaui says, "There are rules and guidelines for these things." But the move has prompted outrage, with leading Samoan human rights activist Ken Moala angrily questioning the decision.
He say, "I do not think it should be banned. It is basically a documentary about the human endeavour to conquer something that people tend to discriminate against.
"It’s really harmless, I don’t know how it would affect Samoan lifestyle. It is totally different and not applicable to here, it is pretty tame really. Some of the movies that have been here are violent and horrific. When it comes to documentaries like this, I think it is all about the human story as opposed to the slaughter that goes on in some of these movies." Penn won an Academy Award in February (09) for his portrayal of Milk, the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California.

CHRIS BROWN has blasted reports he is dating an ex-girlfriend just weeks after his split from RIHANNA.
The R&B star broke up with the Umbrella hitmaker after their well-publicised bust-up in Los Angeles in February (09).
Brown is facing two felony charges of assault and making criminal threats in relation to the incident - but gossips have frequently speculated the couple is back together.
But a new report suggests the singer has moved on from Rihanna - he was allegedly spotted out in Los Angeles with his ex Erica Jackson.
The student dated Brown several years ago, and a source tells the New York Daily News they got back together a few weeks ago.
The newspaper alleges Brown and Jackson were seen visiting a Los Angeles tattoo parlour on Saturday (11Apr09).
But a spokesman for Brown denies any romance: "He did go to a tattoo parlour with someone from the studio named Dean. There was a woman there who was a friend of Dean. There is no truth to this at all. Chris does not know the woman nor does he know the name of the woman.�

SIENNA MILLER’s popularity continues to wane - the actress has been voted less attractive than British monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II in a new poll.
The British star was recently dropped from Ridley Scott’s forthcoming Robin Hood movie, with Cate Blanchett replacing her in the coveted role of Maid Marian.
She received further humiliation when her latest film, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, was blasted by U.S. critics earlier this month (Apr09), with one reviewer claiming the most memorable thing about the movie is the actress’ â��moustacheâ��.
And now Miller has been snubbed by the public - she plunged below the Queen to number 202 in FHM magazine’s annual poll of the world’s sexiest women.
FHM editor Chris Bell says, �Maybe it�s the credit crunch or that Sienna is a bit annoying, but men seem to be rejecting privileged It-girl types like her.� The magazine will announce the top spot in the survey of 10 million people on 23 April (09). Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is favourite for the prize.
