FAWCETT AIRS CANCER DOCUMENTARY FOR FELLOW PATIENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:18 am

FARRAH FAWCETT considered keeping her cancer battle under wraps to protect her privacy - but was compelled to make a documentary about her struggle to support fellow patients.
The former Charlie’s Angels star, 62, was first diagnosed with colorectal cancer in 2006 and began undergoing chemotherapy.
Doctors proclaimed her cancer-free one year later, but the disease returned within a few months, prompting the actress to fly to Germany where she reportedly received experimental treatment.
The ailing actress then decided to chronicle her progress - in a bid to spread awareness about cancer and help others in similar situations.
She says, "As much as I would have liked to keep my cancer private, I have a certain responsibility to those fighting their own fights who may benefit from learning about mine." The footage will now be used in Fawcett’s forthcoming U.S. TV documentary, A Wing and A Prayer, which has yet to receive an air date.
