NICHOLS TAKES STRAIT’S PURE COUNTRY TO BROADWAY
GEORGE STRAIT movie PURE COUNTRY is to hit the Broadway stage with singer JOE NICHOLS as the leading man.
Country icon Strait scored a hit with the film in 1992 and now Nichols will play his hero’s Dusty Chandler role in the stage musical version.
Nichols says, "To come along behind him (Strait)… on Broadway and do something that people dream their whole lives of doing is pretty amazing." The new show is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2010.
