AMY WINEHOUSE is heading back to St. Lucia to headline the island’s 18th annual jazz festival.
Recent legal woes scuppered the Rehab singer’s hopes of landing a working visa and performing at the Coachella Festival in the U.S., so the star is heading for the Caribbean instead.
The idea of her performing at the jazz festival in May (09) was brokered while Winehouse was vacationing on St. Lucia recently, and now she had agreed to return to the island, where she spent the first two months of 2009, to appear alongside KC & The Sunshine Band, who will support her.
Reports suggest Winehouse will be a guest of the island’s Tourism Minister, Allen Chastanet, who tells Eonline.com, "She’s welcome to stay as long as she wants to. We enjoy having her here. I wish we had recording facilities for her. I know she was trying very hard to record her album down there. That is something the government is working on down the road."

Hip-hop star 50 CENT is planning to follow in the footsteps of his mentor EMINEM - by releasing two albums in one year.
Eminem, who discovered 50 Cent in 2002, announced last year (08) his plans to release his highly-anticipated comeback Relapse in May (09) - followed by Relapse 2 just months later.
The Without Me rapper revealed his studio session with his own mentor, Dr. Dre, had been so fruitful, he had plenty of tracks to fill two studio releases.
And now 50 Cent has confirmed he will be following suit, and is set to release his own second record of 2009 just months after his Before I Self Destruct offering - which is expected to hit record stores in June (09).
He tells MTV.com, "What they don’t know … the new announcement is that I’m dropping two albums.
"I’ve had an opportunity to record since I thought I was releasing an album in December." Before I Self Destruct will come a month after Eminem’s Relapse - with the pair’s second albums doing the same later in the year (09).

SAMUEL L. JACKSON and RENNY HARLIN are in talks to revisit their 1996 action movie THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT without the director’s former leading lady and ex-wife GEENA DAVIS.
Jackson has been quietly developing the project with Harlin for the past two years, and now the moviemaker reveals he has a storyline for a sequel, which would revolve around the Pulp Fiction star’s character, Mitch Henessey.
The Finnish filmmaker tells MovieHole.net, "I do have a storyline for it that I worked out and I know exactly what would happen and I think it would be fantastic.
"I can reveal as much as saying it would be Sam Jackson crossing paths with Geena Davis’ daughter from the first movie, who, in the first movie was about six years old, and who would now be about 19 or 20." Harlin insists he is very interested in making the sequel - because The Long Kiss Goodnight is his favourite film experience.
He adds, "It’s a movie that had a really good screenplay, which meant that I was able to get really good actors… When you have characters that are complex and you have good drama, and some humour and some good action, you kind of have all the ingredients… It was a great experience.'’

JENNIFER LOPEZ is under pressure to become a mum again - from her husband MARC ANTHONY.
The singer/actress just celebrated the first birthdays of twins Max and Emme and reveals her husband is keen for her to have more kids.
In an exclusive interview with U.S. news show Access Hollywood, Lopez says, "Marc is like, ‘What are we waiting for?’ ‘Let me work just a little bit first, Let me get a couple things out there… one song, one movie, something.’" She adds, "I, like, need to recuperate. I definitely want to have more (kids) though. I don’t know if it’s in the cards for us, but I would like to." Lopez admits motherhood has put her jet-setting ways on hold - because she can’t bear to be apart from her children.
She explains, "I have to start thinking about travelling without them and that’s a big traumatising thing for me now. I’m going to have to learn how to balance it.
"I feel like deep in my heart that the best thing is for them to always be with me, but then sometimes I feel like I’m taking them out of their comfort zone, and maybe it’s not, and maybe a 16-hour flight for them to go for two days is not good."

Funnyman SACHA BARON COHEN wowed film fans at the South By Southwest festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday (15Mar09) by premiering scenes from his new comedy BRUNO.
Much of the film was shot in Texas, so the Brit decided to honour the state with a first screening.
Less than 300 movie fans got a sneak peek at 22 minutes of the film.
Baron Cohen appeared on screen inbetween three scenes - to introduce each segment.
The film, which is scheduled to hit cinemas in July (09), is the follow up to Baron Cohen’s cult hit Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
In the new film, he portrays an outrageous gay Austrian fashion correspondent hoping to make it big in Hollywood.
In the footage shown on Sunday night, the funnyman’s camp character tries to adopt a black baby and include it in an avant-garde performance art project. He also takes part in a Jerry Springer-style talk show as he searches for a mate, and he also attempts to reinvent himself as a heterosexual character, called Straight Dave.

MADONNA has confirmed she is "considering" adopting another child from Malawi.
The pop superstar faced a barrage of criticism after she and then husband Guy Ritchie adopted their son David Banda in 2006 - with some groups accusing the Malawian government of side-stepping their policies on foreign adoption due to Madonna’s fame and wealth.
The adoption was subsequently deemed legal and was completed in 2008.
Since she welcomed the tot into her home, alongside her biological children Lourdes and Rocco, the singer has been rumoured to be planning to adopt another child from the impoverished African country.
Last year (08), Madonna was said to have signed paperwork to adopt a child, Mercy James, whose grandfather told a U.S. tabloid, "It breaks our hearts to know she will leave us, but adoption is best for her." The adoption reports never came to fruition, but the Material Girl confesses she could still possibly adopt another Malawian child.
Answering email questions from the country’s Nation newspaper readers, Madonna writes, "It’s something I have been considering, but would only do if I had the support of the Malawian people and the Government.
"Many people - especially our Malawian friends - say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister. It is a big priority for me to educate my son about the world, but always to stay connected to his Malawian culture." And the star insists the child’s new life with her family hasn’t been tarnished by her recent divorce from director Ritchie.
She tells the publication, "Everything between us is very amicable… We both agree that our children should always feel a deep connection with both their parents. It is our responsibility to give them that foundation."

NICOLAS CAGE didn’t need to act during the disaster scenes in his new movie KNOWING, because he genuinely feared for the lives of his stuntmen co-stars.
The actor plays a widower whose young son discovers a document detailing every major disaster that has happened, and three that have yet to take place.
One particularly graphic two-minute scene depicts a horrifying plane crash, and required stunt performers to be set alight.
And Cage admits his fears for their safety meant he didn’t need to fake his performance.
He says, "I didn’t have to act - I was genuinely concerned, because those people, although they’re stunt people, they were on fire and I didn’t want them to get hurt.
"If I’d made a mistake they’d have to go back to the beginning and light them back on fire. So the difficult part was not making a mistake. The easy part was I didn’t have to act."

Former FUGEES star PRAS MICHEL is facing a lawsuit from three homeless people who claim they were dehumanised in the rapper’s 2007 documentary SKID ROW.
The Ghetto Superstar hitmaker took to the streets of downtown Los Angeles in 2006 and lived the life of a vagrant for nine-days to document the lives of the homeless.
Michel and a film crew allegedly went undercover, disguised themselves as transients and used hidden cameras to document their experience.
The footage was used in his 2007 docu-film Skid Row.
However, three of the homeless people featured in the project allege Michel’s filming increased the "dehumanization and sadness" of their situations at the time.
Michelle Hassan, Wesley Bolden and Terrell Brown also claim that despite living on the streets, they still wanted to "shield their families…from the dire nature of their circumstances" in a suit filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday (13Mar09).
The trio are seeking profits from the documentary as well as a declaration that they never agreed for their images to be used in the footage.

Comedian CONAN O’BRIEN is America’s favourite Irishman, according to a new online poll.
The talk show host, whose parents are of Irish descent, topped the AOL poll, held to mark St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday (17Mar09).
O’Brien drew 15 per cent of the vote, followed in second place by philanthropic rocker Bono with 14 per cent; and comedienne Molly Shannon with 11 per cent.
At the other end of the poll, Donald Trump; Sinead O’Connor and Rosie O’Donnell were named the least favourite.

Singer PETE BURNS is in a "serious condition" in hospital after undergoing five hours of surgery on his kidneys.
The former Dead or Alive frontman was taken to a London medical facility on Wednesday (11Mar09) to have emergency surgery after he he was diagnosed with kidney failure.
Doctors discovered the star had eight kidney stones, but were unable to remove them because of complications.
Burns is on a morphine drip to battle the pain, according to the singer’s official website.
He explains, "I’m in a very serious condition on 24 hours intravenous morphine for the pain. Intravenous fluid as I’m so dehydrated and the kidneys can’t retain the liquid (sic).
"I’m critically ill and under 24 hours observation and will be in hospital for quite a long time." The hospital dash comes as Burns awaits an estimated $1.85 million (£1 million) pay-out for botched cosmetic surgery to his lips, which allegedly left him "suicidal".

MICKEY ROURKE is taking his role as a villain in the IRON MAN sequel very seriously - he has visited a Russian prison to research his character.
The Wrestler star is set to play Russian supervillian Whiplash in the 2010 movie, and he has taken off to Moscow to get into the mindset of a former Eastern Bloc baddie.
The actor toured the Butyrka prison in Moscow on Friday (13Mar09). While there he met guards and even asked to be briefly locked in a cell.
Speaking at the South By Southwest film festival in Austin, Texas, Iron Man director Jon Favreau refused to confirm reports that Rourke was his Whiplash, but he stated, "The people that have deals should all be finalised in our cast this week. There are no big surprises in casting coming that I can foresee." Iron Man star Robert Downey, Jr. has been fighting to get Rourke in the sequel for months. The film will also feature Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle and Scarlett Johansson, who signed on to play Russian villainess The Black Widow last week (ends13Mar09).

A Manhattan judge has thrown out a lawsuit against the creators of Family Guy after they were accused of copyright infringement for allegedly parodying classic composition WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR.
Music publisher Bourne co., filed suit against Fox Broadcasting Co., the animated comedy’s creator Seth MacFarlane and producers for breach of copyright in 2007 for the use of the song in an episode.
The publishing company, which owns the rights to the song famously used in Walt Disney’s 1940 film Pinocchio, claimed Family Guy had damaged the tune after an alleged thinly veiled copy mixed with "new anti-Semitic lyrics" was used in an episode entitled When You Wish Upon a Weinstein.
But U.S. District Judge Deborah Batts dismissed the case on Monday (16Mar09) - insisting Family Guy bosses were well within their rights to use the music as its copyright didn’t protect it from parody.
Judge Batts added that the song was at risk of being ridiculed because of its wholesome reputation.
She told the court, "It is precisely that beneficial association that opens the song up to ridicule by parodists seeking to take the wind out of such lofty, magical, or pure associations."

British actress NATASHA RICHARDSON is reportedly in a critical condition after suffering a serious head injury while skiing in Quebec, Canada.
The 45-year-old was involved in an accident on the slopes on Monday (16Mar09) and was taken to Montreal’s Centre Hospitalier Laurentien, before being transferred to another medical facility, according to U.S. reports.
Richardson, who is married to Irish actor Liam Neeson, is under constant supervision from medics after suffering a "traumatic brain injury", a hospital source tells IrishCentral.com.
It is not known if Neeson is by her side - the actor’s publicist Alan Nierob could not confirm the reports as he was unable to reach the actor.

Hip-hop group CLIPSE have dismissed allegations KANYE WEST stole one of their songs to use in a TV commercial, branding the rumours "false".
The Grindin’ stars were reportedly left fuming after West lent his vocals to the track Kinda Like A Big Deal - and then used it to score the advertisement for his new Nike sneakers, the Air Yeezys.
But Clipse rapper Pusha T is startled by the claims and wants to distance himself from the "not cool" rumours that are causing damage to West’s good name.
Pusha T tells XXLmag.com, "That’s totally false. I mean, I don’t even know what to say. I don’t even know where they got that from. Me and Ye just talked the other day and we got real big plans for the record.
"He (West) is not trying to take anything. Like I said, I just hate (that) there’s so many different parties involved with what we’re planning. I can’t really speak on anything and the statement that was made was totally false. To put Ye in that light was not cool and he’s been nothing but helpful in the making of the record and the insight on the album as a whole."

Reports surfaced on Monday (16Mar09) alleging the Umbrella hitmaker was set to star in a modern day version of the hit romantic drama.
Rihanna has been keeping a low profile since an alleged fight with her boyfriend Chris Brown last month (Feb09), but she was said to be planning to return to the public eye in style with a move to Hollywood.

LINDSAY LOHAN left movie star JACK NICHOLSON baffled when she made a bizarre late-night housecall at his Hollywood Hills home on Friday (14Mar09) - and the whole thing was caught on camera.
The Mean Girls star fled to the actor’s home as she tried to avoid paparazzi attention following a night out.
She tried to gain access via a security intercom, explaining, "We’re at the gate… It’s Lindsay." A man sounding like Nicholson replied, "Who?" before asking, "What’s going on out there?" He added, "What do you want me to do, honey?" Lohan then instructed her passenger to ask the man on the other end of the intercom to open the gates for the girls, and her Mercedes was allowed to enter the grounds of Nicholson’s pad after driving into a post outside the Hollywood charmer’s estate.

The odd incident took place hours after a warrant was issued for Lohan’s arrest. The warrant was dismissed on Monday (16Mar09) after it became clear it was all part of a misunderstanding.

JESSICA SIMPSON and NICK LACHEY’s former NEWLYWEDS home is on the market again - current owner and former MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE star JUSTIN BERFIELD is selling up.
The actor/producer bought the Calabasas, California home when the pop couple split after filming their reality show in the house.
Speaking to WENN in 2007, Berfield revealed the pad was his dream home long before it became a reality TV den - he first visited the five-bedroom mansion when he was a teenager.
He explained, "I’d actually been to that house about three years before I bought it and I thought it was an amazing house and I only hoped back then that one day I could have a house like this. It just had everything I wanted in a house." Berfield was thrilled when his pals Simpson and Lachey bought the property and opened their doors to the world for their hit reality show.
He pounced when the house went up for sale in 2006 after the couple split and added a movie theatre room and a wine cellar.
And now the property is back on the market for just under $4 million (£2.85 million).
The Mediterranean-style home is situated in a private guard-gated community and comes with seven bathrooms, pool and spa and an impressive chef’s kitchen.
The mansion also comes with a custom soundproofed room, which was once used as a recording studio by Lachey and Simpson.
Berfield is selling up so he can be closer to his his J2 Pictures and J2TV companies in Venice, California.
