ROBERTS TELLS TALE OF ON-SET TANTRUM

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 am

Oscar winner JULIA ROBERTS was once left stunned on a movie set when an unnamed co-star went "bananas" and tried to run their director over.
The actress refuses to name the offender, or what film she was working on when the actor flipped out, but she admits it’s a bizarre filmmaking memory she’ll never forget.
She recalls, "We’re shooting and this person got annoyed at people talking while we’re shooting. He yells, ‘Shut the f**k up. What the f**k is wrong with you people?’ "Then an acorn falls from a tree, and he says, ‘What the f**k was that? Did you not hear me?’ Then he really goes nutso and starts attacking the director, who was the nicest man on the planet.
"Then he gets in his car and he tells his driver, ‘Run him down. Run him f**king down.’"

STALLONE DEFENDS CASTING 50 CENT IN WHITAKER ROLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:33 am

Hollywood tough guy SYLVESTER STALLONE has defended his decision to cast rapper 50 CENT in his forthcoming movie THE EXPENDABLES - after fans slammed the casting call in an online forum.
The Rocky veteran is currently shooting the all-star action film The Expendables in Brazil, which sees some of Tinsletown’s most notorious action stars team up, including Jet Li, Mickey Rourke and Jason Statham.
Forest Whitaker was also slated to appear in the movie as Agent Will Sands, but was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts after shooting on the Stallone’s film was pushed back.
Stallone approached 50 Cent to take on the role, but the decision has come under fire from film fans who suggest the star isn’t a credible actor.
Now, the the star has taken to his forum, StalloneZone, to assure fans he will guide the hip-hop star through the role.
Stallone writes to the forum’s administrator, "Please tell the loyal followers to be positive not negative in their feedback. I am not self-destructive. The anger of the casting of 50 Cent is understandable, but not fair.
"A player is only as good as his coach. If a man can communicate in one medium, he can communicate in another if his strengths are brought out and he has the support of well-wishers. So, trust me, the change of Forest Whitaker to 50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson is a good one."

STEWART’S SON BRANDS ROCKER ‘CHEAP’ IN TV COURT SHOWDOWN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:30 am

ROD STEWART’s son SEAN has embarrassed his famous father on U.S. TV - branding the rocker "very cheap" during a televised court battle over unpaid personal training fees.
Stewart, who has appeared on a string of reality shows, made the appearance on the American reality court show Judge Jeanine Pirro.
He stands accused of failing to pay personal trainer Francois Xavier Decile for his services, which amounted to $2,500 (£3,500) in unpaid sessions.
The 28-year-old rock offspring revealed it was the second time he had failed to pay Decile - claiming his dad had paid off the first debt.
But the courtroom was stunned when Stewart slammed his father’s generosity - branding him "cheap" for making him pay back the money.
He told the televised courtroom, "Actually, the money he gave, the cheque he sent to Xavier, I had to pay back.
"My dad’s very cheap." When quizzed by Judge Pirro why his multi-millionaire father was cheap, Stewart replied: "I don’t know." Decile claims he quit training Stewart last August (08) after getting sick of hearing that the star’s famous dad would cover the bills.

Music channel VH1 is breathing new life into its former signature series BEHIND THE MUSIC - by delving into the backgrounds of LIL WAYNE and SCOTT WEILAND.

LIL WAYNE ORDERED TO TURN OVER FINANCIAL RECORDS IN COPYRIGHT BATTLE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 am

A U.S. judge has ordered rapper LIL WAYNE to hand over accounts of the royalties he garnered from his latest album THA CARTER III to a folk singer who accuses the star of copyright infringement.
U.S. Magistrate Daniel Knowles III ordered the rapper on Wednesday (18Mar09) to turn in all financial information from the sales revenue of the 2008 disc.
In May 2008, musician Karma-Ann Swanepoel filed suit against the star claiming he didn’t have permission to sample her song Once in his album track I Feel Like Dying.
The lawsuit alleges the rapper’s record label, Cash Money Records, failed to seek permission to use a sample of Swanepoel’s song before millions of people downloaded it.
However, Lil Wayne’s legal states the track has had little financial or professional influence in the star’s career.
In legal documents, lawyer Shantell Payton writes, "Quite simply, I Feel Like Dying did nothing for Mr. Carter’s career."

PEARCE: ‘I’LL NEVER BE A DAD’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:27 am

Movie star GUY PEARCE has given up on ever becoming a dad - because he’ll never come to terms with his own father’s death 33 years ago.
The Memento star’s test pilot dad died in a plane crash when Pearce was just eight, and he admits the tragedy, coupled with the fact his older sister Tracey has Down Syndrome, has prevented him from starting a family with his psychologist wife of 12 years, Kate Mestitz.
He explains, "My family is from the north of England and maybe for that reason I was encouraged to be stoic about my father’s death. The emphasis was on being the man of the house." The tragedy has turned the adult Pearce into a complex character, which he insists helps him with his work.
He says, "I think that’s why I do pretty heavy film roles - I use them to express my grief." But Pearce doesn’t feel like he has missed out on fatherhood - because he’s a father figure to his sister, and plans to adopt her when their mother dies.
He adds, "In a way, I have a child and I’ve had her all my life. I know, once mum pops off, we’ll have to take care of Tracey. It was another reason why I got into acting as a kid. It’s not very noble but I probably wanted to get some of the attention."
