A photo of the married rocker and a pal with two scantily-clad teenagers hit publications last year (08), suggesting he was enjoying a little too much fun in the sun on a holiday in St. Tropez, France.
But the scandal-that-never-was quickly died down - when Bono pointed out the incriminating snapshot was doctored to make it look like he and his friend were alone with the bikini-wearing teens.
He tells Spin magazine, "They cropped out the married folks and all the other people who were with us.
"The actual photo is on our fridge."

Hard-living MOTORHEAD star LEMMY insists no one will ever be able to top JIMI HENDRIX’s rock star credentials - because he was the best guitarist, drug user, womaniser and sex soldier the world has ever known.
The Ace of Spades hitmaker worked as Hendrix’s roadie and drug dealer in 1967 - and still revels in tales of the late guitar great’s debauchery.

Rapper TRICK DADDY has been fighting a secret battle with autoimmune disease Lupus for the last 12 years.
The Miami, Florida star, real name Maurice Young, revealed his health struggle during a radio interview on Monday (23Mar09).
Promoting his upcoming autobiography, Magic City: Trials of a Native Son, the rap star said, "I went to the doctor, like, 12 years ago. She took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin; she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have lupus." The diagnosis has kept Trick Daddy out of the sun ever since: "I am allergic highly to the sun, that’s my worst enemy. It’s like an AK-47 (gun) with a double clip on it." But the rapper is determined not to let the incurable condition affect his daily routine.
He adds, "A lot of people try to cover it up with regular make-up. It makes your skin pigmented. You can go from dark to light and not light to dark. You have to cover it up and conceal it." But he isn’t one to complain: "My mama had 11 children from 10 different men. If she can live with that, I know I can live with this."

Actor SETH ROGEN is struggling to accept his newly svelte figure - because he’s let down the legions of chubby men who looked up to him.
The funnyman slimmed down to star in forthcoming comic book move The Green Hornet, and has to cope with strangers approaching him about his weight loss.
And Rogen admits not all of the comments are complimentary.
He says, "That’s the weird thing about losing weight, strangers (compliment) you. It does (make me uncomfortable) a little but I don’t know them…
"I think for chubby guys, I was their guy so they were like, ‘I can be chubby. Seth Rogen’s chubby, so who cares.’ But now I’m not so chubby anymore. So now they’re like, ‘I have to lose weight.’ I’ve let them down. I’ve blatantly sold out. It’s only for money."

Actress ALYSSA MILANO has detailed her love affairs with top baseball players in a new book about the great American pastime.
The Charmed star has been fanatical about the sport since she was a child, and went on to date some of the game’s most famous players, including former Los Angeles Dodgers star Brad Penny and fellow pitchers Carl Pavano and Barry Zito.
In her new book Safe at Home: Confessions of a Baseball Fanatic, she writes: "Other women dream of papaya facials and mango pedicures. Give me a hot dog, a pitchers’ duel and a late-inning suicide squeeze (risky tactic to score), and I melt like hot pine tar." And she admits she struggles not to date the stars of the game: "To be completely honest, after Barry and I broke up, I swore off baseball players. (But) Brad had me at, ‘Let’s go down to the clubhouse.’" And Milano has used the tome to defend her sports idols against allegations of steroid use - the scandal which is currently wresking the sport. CHRISTINA APPLEGATE is planning a return to Broadway - four years after making her debut on the New York stage.
The California-born actress admits she has longed to return to theatre since her stint in the 2005 revival of Sweet Charity, which earned her a Tony Award nomination for best actress in a musical.
And while she’s currently filming her U.S. TV comedy Samantha Who? in Los Angeles, Applegate insists returning to the Big Apple is among her many ambitions, because the city feels like a second home.
She says, "I’ve always felt so safe and good here. I felt like myself. I want to come back here and do some Broadway. I want to do small films, I want to continue with the show, I want to travel."

JAMES GANDOLFINI only returned to Broadway to star in GOD OF CARNAGE because he was "looking for something to do".
The Sopranos actor has been hailed by theatre critics for his performance in the Yasmina Reza play, which officially opened on Sunday (22Mar09) at Manhattan’s Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.
Gandolfini knew the show would be "a bigger commitment than a film", but admits he was shocked by the stamina required to keep up with his rigorous new schedule.
He says, "I hate to admit this, but I was looking for something to do. I thought it would keep me home. I thought it was something that was probably easier than it actually ended up being." Gandolfini’s run in God of Carnage marks his first return to the Broadway stage since a six-month stint in the 1992 production of On the Waterfront.

Champion cyclist LANCE ARMSTRONG is nursing a broken collarbone after crashing during a race in Spain.
The athlete ex of rocker Sheryl Crow and actress Kate Hudson was competing in the first stage of the Vuelta of Castilla and Leon event on Monday (23Mar09) when he was involved in a multiple collision.
Armstrong, 37, was taken to hospital in Palencia, where doctors diagnosed him with the fracture.
It was Armstrong’s first race in the country in five years.
He recently returned from retirement to compete in the world’s top cycle races, including the Tour De France, which he has won a record seven consecutive times.

Professional martial artist DIN THOMAS has voiced his support for pop star RIHANNA following her bust-up with on/off boyfriend CHRIS BROWN - by offering to beat up the KISS KISS singer.
The Umbrella hitmaker was allegedly assaulted by Brown in a fight last month (Feb09), and he is now facing almost five years behind bars if convicted on charges of assault likely to cause great bodily injury and making criminal threats.

And now mixed martial arts fighter Thomas is offering his services to Rihanna if she wants to seek revenge.

KATIE HOLMES has proved her friendship with VICTORIA BECKHAM is still strong by offering to babysit the star’s three sons.
Beckham is currently away from the family home in Los Angeles scouting for a house in Milan, Italy, where her husband David is living while he plays for top soccer club AC Milan.
The family left their three children, Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, six, and Cruz, four, in L.A. under the care of her mother-in-law Sandra, who reportedly had to fly back to London early.

Veteran entertainer MARIE OSMOND had to strip off and be spray-tanned in the nude before she learned to embrace her ageing body.
The 49-year-old singer was asked by TV producers to darken her complexion before she began her stint on U.S. reality show Dancing with the Stars last year (08).
In her new memoir Might As Well Laugh About It Now, the mother-of-eight admits she was initially shocked by the idea.
She writes, "The assistant… said, ‘Strip! Completely naked’… ‘Where’s the tanning booth?’ I asked. ‘No booth… Just me and this.’ She held up a can the size of a fire extinguisher sporting a hose with a gun-shaped nozzle." But it only took a few weeks before Osmond began to enjoy the sessions.
She adds, "By week 10, it seemed as casual as taking your car into a drive-through car wash."

KID CUDI has changed his mind about retiring from the hip-hop industry - insisting the rap game "needs" him.
Last week (17Mar09), the Day ‘N Nite star claimed he was planning to hang up the mic after the summer (09) release of his debut album, Man on the Moon: The Guardians, citing the difficulties with fame as his catalyst to quit.
He wrote on his blog: "After the release of my first LP this summer, I am not making any more solo albums.

Surviving TLC members TIONNE ‘T-BOZ’ WATKINS and ROZANDA ‘CHILLI’ THOMAS are reuniting for a tour of Japan.
The two stars have not played a major show together since the tragic death of rapper Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes, who perished in a car crash in Honduras in 2002.
But the No Scrubs hitmakers are coming back together to perform a series of live dates in Japan - although the tour plans have yet to be officially announced.
In a post on social networking site Twitter.com, Watkins writes, "TLC starts practice 4 (sic) the Japan tour on Mon (23Mar09).
"Chilli and I just met about our Japan dates! We are performing 17 songs."

PHARRELL WILLIAMS’ hip-hop trio N.E.R.D. were forced to cancel concerts in Indonesia this weekend (21-22Mar09) after they were detained by Malaysian authorities for failing to gain the correct performance permits.
The Everybody Nose hitmakers - comprising of Williams, rapper Shay Haley and producer Chad Hugo - performed at the Sunburst KL International festival in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur on Saturday (21Mar09), before heading to the city’s airport to fly to neighbouring Indonesia.
But they ran into trouble with immigration officials and were detained for several hours after Malaysian authorities discovered they had not obtained the permission needed to perform in the conservative Muslim country.
According to local reports, the band’s Malaysian promoter had requested the permits twice before they were due to play at the music festival, but their attempts had been rejected on both occasions, with officials citing the group members’ "obscene" dress sense for the denials.
However, N.E.R.D. pressed ahead and performed without the proper credentials - resulting in their detainment at Kuala Lumpur airport.
Immigration Director-General Datuk Mahmood Adam says, "Following investigations, we found that the group did not receive permission from the Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry to perform at the concert.
"After their statements were recorded, they were released with assurance from the concert organiser." After learning of N.E.R.D.’s immigration delay, the promoters of their Indonesian gig, Java Festival Production and Urbanite-Sinjitos, called off their scheduled show in Jakarta on Sunday (22Mar09) and the band subsequently flew back to their native U.S.
Ticket holders have been offered refunds for the cancelled concert.

Cult sci-fi series STAR TREK is set for a return to the small screen - a Hollywood writer is looking to produce a new TV show to tie in with the upcoming movie.
The space age series, starring William Shatner, became a cult hit after it first aired in 1966 and has spawned six spin-off shows and 10 films.
A new prequel movie, directed by Lost creator J.J. Abrams, is set to hit cinemas this summer (09) and Pushing Daisies screenwriter Bryan Fuller is hoping to capitalise on the film’s success with a new spin-off TV series.
He says, "I told my agent and told the people of J.J. Abrams’ team I want to create another Star Trek series and have an idea that I’m kicking around. I would love to return to the spirit of the old series with the colours and attitude. I loved Voyager and Deep Space Nine, but they seem to have lost the ‘60s fun and I would love to take it back to its origin.
"I would love to do it in the same era as the J.J. Abrams movie, but on another starship on a completely different adventure."

The son of poet SYLVIA PLATH has committed suicide - 46 years after his mother took her own life.
Plath, whose life story was turned into 2003 film Sylvia starring Gwyneth Paltrow, gassed herself in 1963 while her two young children Nicholas and Frieda slept in the next room.
And now Nicholas, whose father was late poet Ted Hughes, has been found hanged in his home in Alaska. He was 47.
His body was discovered on 16 March (09), with his sister Frieda announcing the sad news in a statement on Monday (23Mar09).
It reads, "It is with profound sorrow that I must announce the death of my brother, Nicholas Hughes, who died by his own hand on Monday, March 16 2009 at his home in Alaska. He had been battling depression for some time.
"He was a loving brother, a loyal friend to those who knew him and, despite the vagaries that life threw at him, he maintained an almost childlike innocence and enthusiasm for the next project or plan." Hughes was unmarried with no children, and had until recently been a professor of fisheries and ocean sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

Actress PORTIA DE ROSSI has "apologised" for marrying comedienne ELLEN DEGENERES in a video spoof taking aim at supporters of the same-sex marriage ban in California.
The openly gay couple wed in August (08), taking advantage of the May (08) Supreme Court ruling which legalised same-sex unions in the state.
Their rights were revoked just months later after the passing of the Proposition 8 bill, which reversed the previous ruling permitting the unions.
DeGeneres used her U.S. talk show Ellen as a forum to publicise her devastation over the issue, and now de Rossi is voicing her own discontent in a public service announcement (P.S.A.) "Paid for by married gay people who are sorry and The National Coalition of Bonobo Chimps".
She says, "I was just very sad and very surprised at the time. Ellen has her own talk show, and she was able to tell people how she felt about it and I’ve never been able to talk about it from my perspective, so I shot a P.S.A. that talks about how I feel about it." Issuing her "apology", de Rossi adds: "When I got married, all I was thinking about was my own joy at committing to love my partner for the rest of my life. I didn’t think about all the people I was hurting by getting married. That was selfish. So I want to apologise to all those people whose lives have been affected by me getting married."

Actor SETH ROGEN was forced to slim down for his role in forthcoming comic book movie THE GREEN HORNET - after needing medical attention during a fight scene.
The 26-year-old admits he’d still be indulging in his favourite unhealthy treats if he hadn’t landed the role.
But a frightening health scare during rehearsals finally forced him to pay attention to his weight.
He says, "I had to be hooked up to an oxygen tank afterwards and I realised if I’m going to make an action movie, I have to lose weight if I don’t want to die."
