Shamed pop star BOY GEORGE has been hit by the credit crunch from his prison cell - his clothes store has been closed down after suffering huge losses.
The former Culture Club frontman, real name George O’Dowd, is currently serving a 15 month prison sentence in January (09) for falsely imprisoning Norwegian Audun Carlsen at his East London apartment in April 2007.
And the star’s miserable year continues - his B-Rude store in Shoreditch, east London has been shut down after recording a $130,000 (£90,000) deficit, reports U.K. newspaper The Sun.
A source tells the publication, "He is feeling the pinch from the credit crunch."

MILEY CYRUS hopes her new animated film BOLT will make kids more responsible for their dogs.
The actress/singer owns six pooches and admits shooting the family film made her realise just how important man’s best friend is to her.
She says, "I love all my dogs and I hope that, after seeing this film, people will want to go home and love their dog.
"I hope kids realise, one, that you love your pets and know what great friends they can be. And two, that no matter what you do for a living, you have to realise that that can go away in a second."

Actress MARISKA HARGITAY has returned to the set of TV drama LAW & ORDER: SVU after taking a three-week break to recover from a partially collapsed lung.
Tabloid reports suggested Hargitay’s health crisis will keep her off the set of the hit show, with sources claiming producers "have written her out of the rest of the season".
The 44-year-old was back at work on Monday (23Mar09) just days after promising she would return to film the final four episodes of the hit cop show’s latest season.

Slimmed-down funnyman SETH ROGEN knew it was time to get into shape long before he started preparing to play comic book hero THE GREEN HORNET after struggling to cope with the high altitude while filming in New Mexico.
The Knocked Up star was filming new film Observe and Report in Albuquerque when he realised his health really wasn’t it should be.
He explains, "I’m somebody who can barely breathe in Los Angeles, which is at sea level. I can’t walk up a flight of stairs. Albuquerque is at an elevation of about two miles and the air is very thin." And Rogen tells Playboy magazine, "There were some big action scenes. Every day it felt as if I were climbing Everest. So the stunts were really hard, much harder than they should have been.
"I realised if I was going to make Green Hornet I needed to lose weight. Aside from how the character is supposed to look, I couldn’t physically make the movie in the shape I was in. It would have literally killed me."

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL hunk ZAC EFRON won’t be getting FOOTLOOSE anytime soon - the actor has pulled out of the movie remake.
Efron was slated to take over Kevin Bacon’s lead role in the updated film, but Paramount Pictures executives have confirmed he’s no longer their star.
A statement reads, "Footloose is a project we’ve longed to see rebooted for a new generation. While Zac is no longer attached, we remain excited."

And she insists the babies have helped beat the bitterness that once existed between them.

Beloved U.S. TV host DAVID LETTERMAN has confirmed reports he wed longtime girlfriend REGINA LASKO, while congratulating pal BRUCE WILLIS on his weekend marriage on his hit show.
Letterman exchanged vows with the mother of his son, Harry, in a courthouse ceremony near their ranch home in Montana on Thursday (19Mar09), according to America’s Us Weekly magazine.
And, according to fans, who were among the audience for the taping of Monday night’s (23Mar09) The Late Show with David Letterman, the host confirmed the news live.
During the show, which will air in America later tonight, Letterman apparently announced, "I hear Bruce Willis got married this weekend. There’s another wedding I’d like to mention. We got married in Montana. Went to the Justice of the Peace." Letterman also told fans the truck he, his wife and their five-year-old chose to get them to the wedding destination got stuck in the mud en route to the courthouse.
He explained he had to leave his stranded family with the vehicle and return to their house to pick up a car. He joked that he feared he would be late for his own wedding.
He told the audience, "We think, ‘Well, somebody’ll come… Nobody comes along. It’s Thursday afternoon, who’s coming along? Zorro? "So I get out of the truck and I walk two miles back to the house… and the whole way, I’m thinking, ‘See, smart ass, see, see, you try to get married, this is what happens.’" This is Letterman’s second marriage.

ALAN RICKMAN, RALPH FIENNES, UMA THURMAN and HOLLY HUNTER were among the celebrities who paid their final respects to actress NATASHA RICHARDSON as she was laid to rest in New York state on Sunday (22Mar09).
The stars joined Richardson’s widower Liam Neeson and their sons and her mother Vanessa Redgrave and sister Joely Richardson as the actress was buried at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Millbrook.
Meanwhile, Richardson’s fellow Brit Hugh Laurie admitted he’s still coming to terms with the terrible news.
Paying tribute to the actress, he said, "It’s almost the very definition of tragedy; it’s just an awful thing."

WU-TANG CLAN rapper RZA has landed a role in an independent film co-starring BRITTANY SNOW and RUMER WILLIS.
The hip-hop star has signed on to appear in Walks, a film about a group of New Yorkers who reunite for the homecoming of a convicted graffiti artist.
Actress Emmanuelle Chriqui and Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr will also star in the film, written and directed by Eric Amadio.
Production is scheduled to begin in New York in May (09).

IRON MAIDEN star BRUCE DICKINSON’s horror movie CHEMICAL WEDDING has claimed the top award at the Athens International Sci-Fi & Fantasy Film Festival in Greece.
The supernatural thriller was co-written by the rocker and directed by Monty Python’s Life of Brian editor Julian Doyle.
Chemical Wedding was named Top Movie at the festival after it was screened last week (17Mar09).
The film has already been released on DVD in some territories, as Crowley.

GUNS N’ ROSES are planning to head out on tour with NIKKI SIXX’s guitar pal DJ ASHBA.
Axl Rose has reportedly recruited the Sixx:AM guitarist to his G N’ R line-up - ahead of the 2009 international summer stadium shows.
Ashba also co-wrote and co-produced Motley Crue�s Saints of Los Angeles album.
In a statement about his new Slash replacement, Rose says, "DJ�s a gifted, energetic guitarist that Guns n� Roses is proud to have on board. We�re very excited to have the opportunity to work together.

Eighties hitmakers SPANDAU BALLET are to reveal their reunion and comeback plans onboard H.M.S. Belfast in London on Wednesday (25Mar09).
The True stars announced tentative plans to reform last month (Feb09) but refused to reveal more. They’ve invited the world’s media to join them on the famous ship for "a major announcement".
Spandau Ballet split after a bitter feud in 1989 and the former bandmates have spent a large part of the past 20 years squabbling over royalties. But now it appears they’re all friends again.
Frontman Tony Hadley tells Britain’s Sunday People newspaper, "The boys are back in town and we can’t wait. It’s going to be brilliant, we’re very excited. But it will be very different to how we used to be.

The production features rival gangs from different cultural backgrounds, whose fights turn fatal when one leader dates another’s sister.
Brinkley tells the New York Daily News, �Not too long ago, my son and daughter were on an online game, and a pop-up ad came up and they were trying to recruit the kids to a gang. And I thought �Oh my gosh!� "I thought he (son) could learn a thing or two from the show. Kids back then joined gangs, and (it) is relevant as these gangs are re-emerging.�

U.S. TV presenter MATT LAUER faces surgery after separating his shoulder in a bicycle accident.
The Today show co-host was thrown from his bike in Spain on Monday (23Mar09) after braking to avoid a deer, which jumped out in front of him.
