BEYONCE BLASTS ‘WEIGHT-GAIN’ CRITICS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

R&B superstar BEYONCE has slammed critics for suggesting she is struggling with a weight issue after she was pictured out in New York showing off a more rounded figure.
The Bootylicious beauty donned a hip-enhancing Thierry Mugler gown in early March (08) and hit the streets of the Big Apple to film a promo video for her I Am… tour.
The dress has attracted unflattering comments about the singer’s curvy figure, with some detractors claiming Beyonce’s weight is gradually ballooning.
It wouldn’t be the first time Beyonce has drastically changed her physique - she piled on the pounds to portray Etta James in 2008 movie Cadillac Records and went on a strict diet to slim down for her role as Deena Jones in the big-screen adaptation of Broadway musical Dreamgirls in 2006.
But the star’s spokesperson insists Beyonce is fighting fit as she heads out on tour.
Her representative tells Usmagazine.com, "This is not a weight-gain issue. Beyonce is in the best shape of her life. The exaggerated hips are a design element of a truly couture dress. Beyonce has always loved this dress." The Mugler couture outfit is one of many designed for Beyonce - the fashion guru was also responsible for creating the 58-piece stage wardrobe she will wear on tour.

SCHNEIDER: ‘MOVIE BAD GUY ISN’T BASED ON MY DAD’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:06 am

ROB SCHNEIDER insists the rogue real estate agent he plays in new movie BAD STAN isn’t based on his own dad, who used to sell property for a living.
In the movie, which Schneider also directed, the funnyman’s character is sentenced to prison time after cheating clients out of money.
But he insists there’s no comparison to his own father - who was an honest broker.
Schneider tells Starpulse.com, "My dad was a really honest guy. He was the first guy to rent to African Americans in San Francisco in ‘54, before the civil rights movement and he’s a good guy. He would never allow people to buy the homes if they couldn’t afford to pay. He would never give loans via a second mortgage company. His clients never lost money; though, I don’t think he would have been able to protect them in this kind of (climate). Anybody who lost money, he would absorb it. He was that good a guy."

RICHARDSON TRAGEDY HELPS SAVE LITTLE GIRL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:02 am

The NATASHA RICHARDSON tragedy has helped save a little Ohio girl, who would have died if her parents hadn’t read about the actress’ medical drama.
Seven-year-old Morgan McCracken was hours away from death, two days after she was hit by a baseball during a family game, when her father Donald decided to call doctors for advice after realising his daughter’s injury was similar to the one which killed Richardson last week (18Mar09).
Injured Morgan’s folks iced a lump that formed on her head and when the swelling subsided and the kid seemed fine they thought nothing of it.
Two days later, she complained of a headache and, after watching the Richardson tragedy unfold, her parents decided not to wait to see if she’d be fine.
The actress died two days after banging her head in a fall during a skiing lesson.
Donald McCracken tells CNN.com, "Because of Natasha, we called the paediatrician immediately. And by the time I got off the phone with him, Morgan was sobbing, her head hurt so much." The McCrackens took Morgan to hospital, where doctors ran tests and immediately put the seven year old on a helicopter to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland.
It was then her parents learned that their daughter had the same injury as Richardson: "They told us that if we hadn’t brought her in Thursday night, she never would have woken up." Fortunately, doctors were able to operate on the little girl, and she’s back at home recovering after a five-day hospital stay.

SPECTOR TRIAL GOES TO JURY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

Actress LANA CLARKSON’s mother wiped tears from her eyes as the jurors in PHIL SPECTOR’s murder retrial were handed the case on Thursday (26Mar09).
A panel of seven men and five women filed out of the Los Angeles courtroom just before noon local time to begin their deliberations, five months after the start of the retrial.
Spector stands accused of shooting Clarkson in the foyer of his Alhambra, California mansion in 2003, and faces up to 18 years behind bars if convicted. His attorneys maintain the depressed actress shot herself.
The music mogul, 69, sat silently in court as Deputy District Attorney Alan Jackson told the jurors to pretend they could go back to the night Clarkson left her job as a waitress and agreed to go back to the producer’s home in his final argument. He asked them what they’d say to her if they had the chance.
In a chilling conclusion to days of final arguments from prosecution and defence lawyers, Jackson said, "You are all thinking the same thing. You’d say, ‘Lana, whatever you do, don’t go.’" According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, Jackson asked jurors in Spector’s 2007 trial to imagine the same scenario. That panel deadlocked 10 to two in favour of conviction and the case was ruled a mistrial.
His comments and the close of the trial brought Clarkson’s mother, Donna, to tears.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 11:15 pm

Busty actress/model JENNY MCCARTHY’s ex has revealed he misses nights of passion with the star - because she was "a freak in the sack".
Actor/director John Asher, who was married to McCarthy from 1999 to 2005, feels sure his ex-wife’s current beau, Jim Carrey, is having the time of his life in the bedroom - because the actress really knows how to spice up sex.
Asher revealed his ex liked threesomes and once even invited three other "naughty sweet young girls" to join them for sex in a recent ConwayAndWhitman.com interview.
He said, "She’d be the subject of most of the attention, but always kept me in the mix. Jenny was a freak in the sack and beyond.
"There are some things that she’s done where I’ve thought, ‘No other woman will ever do that.’ It’s a helluva show." Asher reveals his marriage ended when the couple’s son Evan was diagnosed with autism and needed his mum’s full-time attention.
The writer/director explains, "When something traumatic happens to a child, it either pulls the parents together or drives them apart."

He tells WENN, "It was two different versions, where basically there was a clock on the wall with a basketball hoop and by your bed you had a holder that had three little balls in it, and, in the morning, when the alarm goes off, you had to get a ball in the hoop to get your snooze.
"The other was a rubber alarm clock that you could throw around the room and wherever it landed it would activate the snooze, but then you got to get out of bed to find it!"
