Former SPICE GIRL MELANIE BROWN has put her family home in Beverly Hills, California up for sale - for $1 (£0.70) less than the $3 million (£2.09 million) she paid for it in 2007.
The singer relocated to Los Angeles in 2003 and purchased the property four years later, after marrying film producer Stephen Belafonte.
But the couple is now looking for a new pad and is banking on a quick sale - by placing the five bedroom, four bathroom mansion on the market for $2,999,999, reports Realestalker.com.
The listing price is particularly unusual because Brown gave the "ultra chic showplace" a "million dollar makeover", according to the sale description.

The DJ at the centre of a club brawl involving PARIS HILTON has blamed the socialite’s entourage for starting the fight.
The hotel heiress was enjoying a night out at the Winter Music Conference at the Fontainebleau hotel nightclub in Miami, Florida on Thursday night (26Mar09) when violence flared up.
Hilton claims her boyfriend, Doug Reinhardt, was left bloodied and bruised after stepping in to defend her when she was shooed away by one of DJ Steve Angello’s bodyguards. The star claims a group of "six guys" then attacked her lover.
But the Swedish beatmaker claims it was actually Hilton’s bodyguards who started the fight - by punching him in the face after he refused to play a song the star had requested.
Angello tells WENN, "Paris’s story is a joke. She kept demanding I play hip-hop, not Madonna, Daft Punk or anyone else - I’m not a hip-hop DJ. I don’t have a bodyguard either. Her guy punched me first and I defended myself. No-one else was involved. She might be used to people saying yes to her 24/7, but she’s not going to get that from me. The Winter Music Conference is about the music, and that’s the reason people travel to it from all over the world. It’s not about spoilt girls getting what they want."

Actor JOSH HARTNETT has been admitted to a hospital in Los Angeles, California after suffering abdominal pains in the early hours of Monday (30Mar09) morning.
The Black Hawk Down star, 30, was enjoying a night out at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood when he was struck down with the mystery illness, prompting a pal to make an emergency call for an ambulance at 12.53am, according to TMZ.com.
Hartnett was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital at around 2am but did not require the use of a stretcher.
A spokesperson for Hartnett was unavailable for comment as WENN went to press.

Rockers GREEN DAY will debut a musical based on their hit album AMERICAN IDIOT in September (09).
The band has long been rumoured to be turning their 2004 rock opera disc into a stage production, and the stars have now confirmed the show will premiere at the Berkley Repertory Theatre in California this autumn.
But frontman Billie Joe Armstrong admits the play, directed by Michael Mayer, is a little confusing.
He tells the New York Times, "It doesn’t make a lot of sense, but that’s what I love about it. When people see it, it’s going to be my wildest dream."

Actor TIM ALLEN has become a father for the second time at the age of 55.
The Santa Clause star’s wife, actress Jane Hajduk, gave birth to a baby girl named Elizabeth on Saturday (28Mar09) in Los Angeles, California.
The tot weighed in at five pounds, 13 ounces (2.64 kilograms) and is the couple’s first child together.
Allen’s publicist, Marleah Leslie, has confirmed mother and child are healthy and says the couple is "thrilled" with the new addition to its family, reports PopEater.com.
Little Elizabeth is Allen’s second daughter - he is also dad to Katherine, 19, from his former marriage to Laura Deibel.

TORI SPELLING has hit back at reports a salary dispute delayed her role in TV drama 90210, branding the rumours "hearsay".
The actress, whose TV mogul father Aaron Spelling produced the original show, was billed to join former Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth in the new spin-off show, but backed out after allegedly falling out with TV bosses over cash.
But Spelling insists her duties as a mother to nine-month-old daughter Stella and two-year-old son Liam with husband Dean McDermott kept her from committing to the project when plans were first announced.
She tells the New York Post, "When I heard about the show, I thought it would be a cool connection to go back, especially because of my dad and for the fans to see (her character) Donna (Martin). But when they were ready to film, I’d just had the baby, so the timing wasn’t right. When the offer came back around again, it was perfect. So it all worked out in the fashion that it was supposed to.
"That was all a build up in the press, such hearsay. It was never about money - I still, to this day, have no idea about what Jennie and Shannen made or make, so it clearly wasn’t an issue." Spelling finally filmed two episodes of the series in February (09) and insists she’ll return for at least one more season.
But the actress remains coy about joining Doherty and Garth on the show with a recurring role.
She adds, "(My character) Donna’s met her little niche in Japan, and she’s very successful… and gets caught back up in the whole Beverly Hills thing, thinking that maybe she’ll come back and design there permanently."

Prison-bound rapper T.I. has vowed to keep silent about his looming stint in prison once he is behind bars.
The Whatever You Like hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris Jr., was sentenced to year and a day behind bars for illegal weapons charges on Friday (27Mar09) morning.
The felony charges relate to his 2007 arrest when he was caught trying to buy an arsenal of guns from an undercover FBI agent.
T.I., who is due to begin his sentence by 19 May (09), has regularly spoken out about how his legal woes have affected his family, particularly his five young children, and has been guiding troubled teens away from a life of crime as part of his court-ordered community service.
But the star insists he is putting the whole incident behind him now he’s officially been sentenced.
The rapper tells MTV News, "This is probably the last time I speak about this. Don’t ask me no more questions. Finito." And he accepts full responsibility for the trouble he has found himself in, adding, "I showed what you should do (when you make a mistake). If you did it, you did it. Don’t try to pass the buck on to someone else."

Incarcerated MOBB DEEP rapper PRODIGY has filed suit against a New York-based music company for allegedly failing to pay him over $30,000 (£21,130) in royalties.
In court documents filed on 23 March (09) in Manhattan Supreme Court, the hip-hop star claims executives at Vox Music Group agreed in August 2007 to pay him $10,300 (£7,255) a month.
According to the New York Post, Johnson says music bosses missed three payments and have failed to give him a semi-annual royalty accounting statement, forcing his family home into foreclosure.
The legal documents read: "These breaches… have put Prodigy’s family in financial peril." The rapper - real name Albert Johnson - is also asking the agreement be terminated.
He was jailed for three years in October 2007 for unlawful gun possession.

Returning to THE PRODIGY rescued rocker KEITH FLINT from a decade of drink and drug abuse.
The flamboyant vocalist/dancer is busy promoting Invaders Must Die, the British dance act’s fifth studio album - and Flint’s first with the group since 1997’s smash hit Fat of the Land.
He admits his time away from the Prodigy wasn’t spent wisely. He tells WENN, "I got heavily into booze and drugs and flooded myself with that, like a sponge. And then I reeled it in." Flint credits the band’s manager, John Fairs, with helping him kick drugs and reconnect with Prodigy songwriter Liam Howlett.
And Howlett insists the group’s determination to make their comeback a lasting one is keeping the wildhaired star clean.
Howlett says, "You can’t burn the candle at both ends. You’re at the front of the stage. You’ve got to be on it.
"We spent a lot of time on this record. We all did. We didn’t want to go out there and not be able to perform it." And Flint admits being back onstage has become his new narcotic of choice: "It’s like my drug. You’ve got to go out there firing. There’s nothing sadder than watching a heavyweight boxer and he’s out of shape and getting bashed around."

Singer/rapper T-PAIN returned to the stage in California on Sunday (29Mar09), just three days after an accident with a golf cart left him needing emergency dental surgery.
The Can’t Believe It hitmaker, real name Faheem Najm, was admitted to hospital in Texas last Wednesday (25Mar09) after falling off a golf buggy while fooling around backstage at a show.
He was forced to cancel his performance at Lil Wayne’s I Am Music tour stop in San Jose, California on Friday (27Mar09) amid rumours he had suffered a broken jaw in the incident.
But T-Pain proved the reports wrong by hitting the stage at Universal City at the weekend, insisting his jaw was intact, although he had lost four teeth and sustained cuts and bruises in the accident.
And despite his injuries, he was determined to put on a show for his fans.
He told the crowd, "There’s a lot of talk that I flipped over in a golf cart. That’s f**king true. It did happen like three days ago. My a** is on fire right now. My side hurt, my mouth hurt.
"I bust my a**. I’d show you the marks but I don’t wanna pull my pants down right now… I got my teeth fixed the same day. I don’t give a f**k how many golf carts I flip over. If I was any less of a showman tonight, I apologise." T-Pain also had to cancel an appearance in rapper Lil’ Kim’s new video for her song Download, but the Put Your Lighters Up star insists the producer/performer will shoot his part as soon as he’s in a better condition.

Supermodel GISELE BUNDCHEN has adapted quickly to becoming a stepmother - insisting new husband TOM BRADY’s son with actress BRIDGET MOYNAHAN is "100 per cent" her child.
The Brazilian beauty has been dating Brady since the American football star split from ex-girlfriend Moynahan in 2006. The actress discovered she was pregnant with their child, 17-month-old John Edward Thomas Moynahan, weeks after the break-up.
But Bundchen is so close to the boy, she considers him her own.

MADONNA will have to wait until the end of the week to find out whether she will be able to take home MERCY JAMES - a Malawian court has delayed a ruling on the adoption until Friday (03Apr09).
The singer flew to the African nation over the weekend (begs28Mar09) with her 12-year-old daughter Lourdes and three-year-old-David Banda, who she adopted from the country in 2006.
And she has formalised her bid to make Mercy a part of her family, filing adoption papers at a court house in capital Lilongwe on Monday (30Mar09) morning.
But the judge presiding over the hearing has adjourned the proceedings until Friday - meaning Madonna will have to wait four days to find out whether she will be able to make the girl an official member of her family.
The adoption bid has sparked outrage amongst the child’s surviving relatives, with her grandmother, Lucy Chekechiwa, 61, vowing to fight to keep the tot in Malawi.
Childrens’ charities have also criticised the star for adopting from abroad - insisting orphaned kids need to remain in their native countries in the care of their extended families.
The controversy mirrors the furore which surrounded Madonna’s adoption of David Banda in 2006 - with some accusing the Malawian government of side-stepping the country’s adoption laws because of the singer’s fame and wealth. The adoption was subsequently finalised last year (08) following two years of legal wrangling.

Pop superstar MICHAEL JACKSON will not attend the funeral of British reality star JADE GOODY despite reports he is eager to take part in the late TV personality’s memorial service.
Rumours have circulated in the U.K. tabloid press suggesting the Thriller hitmaker has vowed to personally pay his respects when Goody is laid to rest during a public service in London on 4 April (09).
Jackson reportedly reached out to the star, who came to world attention when she showcased her cancer battle through TV and magazine deals, and offered her words of comfort after her illness was deemed terminal.
However, Goody’s publicist Max Clifford has dismissed the reports that Jackson plans to attend the service - insisting the singer didn’t want to detract attention from Goody on the day of her funeral.
Clifford tells Sky News, "Michael was never, ever coming, it was never on the agenda. He also feels the focus of the funeral should be about her and her family.
"But he has sent a lovely message of condolence to her family, that she was a brave girl and that her message will save a lot of lives, and he will be sending flowers." Goody died on 22 March (09), aged 27.

Controversial TV pundit BILL O’REILLY has vowed to boycott SEAN PENN’s movies - insisting he can’t watch the actor’s big screen projects due to their conflicting political views.
The right-wing commentator, who fronts his own show The O’Reilly Factor on America’s Fox News, is well known for his criticisms of liberal celebrities, and has openly mocked left-wing stars Jessica Alba, George Clooney and Rosie O’Donnell.
Now, in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, O’Reilly has admitted he wouldn’t pay money to see Oscar-winner Penn’s movies due to his involvement with controversial politicians, including Venezuelan leader Hugo Chavez.
When asked by the publication if there are any actors whose political opinions disturb him so much he wouldn’t see their films, he replied, "Just Sean Penn." And when pushed on the response, O’Reilly explained, "He’s a great actor, and if you hire him, you’ll get a good performance.
"I’m just not going to give a guy who gives aid and comfort to people like (Iran president Mahmoud) Ahmadinejad, Hugo Chavez and Saddam Hussein, when he was alive, my 10 bucks. That’s my right as an American." In 2005, Penn visited Iran acting as a journalist on an assignment for the San Francisco Chronicle and has defended Venezuelan leader Chavez by claiming the U.S. was "becoming increasingly gullible to the demonising of foreign states or leaders".

MARIAH CAREY’s husband NICK CANNON has hit back at internet bloggers after facing a spate of untrue rumours - offering to meet his critics in person to set the story straight.
Cannon has been the subject of a string of recent online reports - including a story suggesting he is facing financial ruin over the engagement ring he bought his famous wife, something he subsequently denied.

TORI SPELLING’s mother CANDY has explained her recent decision to sell the family estate in Los Angeles - putting the move down to fears she will never again spend time with her estranged daughter.
The pair fell out before the death of Spelling’s TV mogul father, Aaron, in 2007. They reconciled later that year, following the birth of the actress’ first child, Liam, with husband Dean McDermott.
But mother and daughter are back on frosty terms, and Candy Spelling now has little hope they will ever salvage their strained relationship.
Spelling admits the most hurtful part of the feud is her estrangement from her grandchildren - because she has never had a chance to meet the latest addition to the family, baby Stella, who was born last year (08).
And she has put the vast former family home on the market because her young relatives will never be able to enjoy it.
She tells People.com, "I don’t see Tori and Dean anymore. I used to see Liam, but no longer. And I’ve never met Stella. I’ve tried to talk to her (Tori), but that doesn’t work. She may not even know why she’s angry.
"If I had any hope that I would have a relationship with my grandchildren I would never sell this house. I’ve fantasised for years about a wonderful playhouse on the grounds for children." Spelling placed the family home in Los Angeles on the market earlier this month (Mar09) for a staggering $150 million (£103 million). The three-storey mansion boasts a bowling alley, wine cellar, library and a gym. It is also rumoured to include over 100 bedrooms.
