SPEARS GETS THREE-YEAR RESTRAINING ORDER AGAINST GHALIB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:42 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-boyfriend ADNAN GHALIB has been ordered to stay away from the pop star for at least three years.
California Superior Court Judge Aviva K. Bobb granted the singer an extension of a protective order against the paparazzo on Wednesday (18Mar09) morning.
A temporary restraining order against Spears’ former manager, Sam Lutfi, was also extended until 1 April (09).
The Toxic hitmaker’s father, Jamie Spears, who has court-ordered control over her estate, sought protective orders on her behalf against Ghalib and Lutfi in January (09).
Court documents suggest the men attempted to undermine Jamie Spears’ conservatorship, established after the singer suffered a series of public meltdowns at the beginning of last year (08).
Jamie Spears’ attorney told the judge that Ghalib had yet to file any objections to the order, which is in effect until 17 March (12).
The judge will hear from witnesses in the case against Lutfi on 1 April (09).

Country star LEANN RIMES has addressed reports she cheated on her husband, dismissing them as "rumours" during a live U.S. TV interview.
The singer is accused of cheating on her husband of seven years, Dean Sheremet, with Eddie Cibrian, her co-star in TV movie Northern Lights.
American tabloid Us Weekly has printed security camera footage it claims shows the clean-cut star kissing the actor on an intimate date in California earlier this month (Mar09).
But Rimes brushed off the allegations of infidelity on Wednesday (18Mar09) during an appearance on Live With Regis & Kelly.
She told the hosts, "Everything’s great! There are rumours all the time. I let it roll of my back most of the time. It does get too much every once in a while but you know things pass, life happens." And the singer insists growing up in the spotlight since age 13 helps her cope with constant gossip.
She adds, "Every stage of your life has been played out in the public eye. Everything you read - it’s not as easy as black and white." On Wednesday Sheremet - who renewed his wedding vows with Rimes last August (08) - addressed the gossip himself, posting "I love my wife!!!" on Twitter.com.
Cibrian has been married to model Brandi Glanville since 2001. The couple has two young sons.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:36 pm

Incarcerated boyband svengali LOU PEARLMAN is plotting a return to the spotlight - he’s developing his own reality TV show.
The music mogul - the mastermind behind successful boybands Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync - is currently serving a 25-year prison sentence after being convicted of fraud last year (08).
Pearlman has teamed with reality TV producer Jonathan Murray to pitch the series, about a Florida rock band called Biteboy, reports the New York Post.
Branded as a cross between Making the Band and Charlie’s Angels, Pearlman would give words of advice to his proteges from behind bars in the show, according to Tyler Gray, the author of a new book about the star, entitled The Hit Charade.
Detailing the production in Portfolio magazine, Gray writes, "It essentially would feature Lou’s disembodied voice on a speakerphone. Biteboy, by any definition, is a long shot. No recording labels have ever shown any interest in Biteboy."
