British dance music supergroups the ORB and CHEMICAL BROTHERS have been added to the Coachella Festival line-up a day after AMY WINEHOUSE’s legal woes forced her to pull out of the event.
Devendra Banhart and Etienne de Crecy have also been added to the bill.
The 10th annual Coachella Festival will take place at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California next month (Apr09). Sir Paul McCartney, the Killers, The Cure, Morrissey and Leonard Cohen are among the highlights.

Former SPICE GIRLS star MELANIE BROWN will undergo hypnosis treatment ahead of the launch of her revue show in Las Vegas - in a bid to conquer her nerves.
The singer-turned-TV personality is set to perform a raunchy stage act, called Peep Show, at the Planet Hollywood Casino Resort in April (09).
But Brown admits she is terrified something will go wrong on the opening night, and has booked an appointment to see a hypnotherapist to help calm her fears.
She tells Britain’s Closer magazine, "I’m getting hypnosis. I’m seeing a guy called Anthony Cool, who performs a show at Vegas too. I’m doing this just in case I get any last-minute nerves - in case I can’t remember the lyrics or the moves. He’s going to hypnotise me as soon as I get there."

Rap mogul SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS had to defend his decision to let CHRIS BROWN and RIHANNA use his Miami, Florida home to repair their shattered romance on national TV in America on Tuesday (10Mar09).
Photos of a smiling Brown riding around on one of Diddy’s jet skis - weeks after allegedly beating his girlfriend - stunned the world, and now the rapper and designer is at the centre of the controversy after confirming he gave his friends the keys to his home, so they could reconcile.
TV talk show host Ellen DeGeneres took Diddy to task for his decision during a taping of her daily show, which aired on Tuesday.
She asked Combs, who was on the show to promote his new Twitter.com project, "Why would you do that? Why would you give Chris - a guy who hit a girl… I don’t understand." Combs replied, "I know both of them, it’s my house and I’m allowed to give my house to whoever I want to give my house to.
"I’m the type of person that I don’t cast a stone or cast a judgment on anybody, so if a friend or friends ask me for a favour, then I’m gonna be there for a favour, as long as I know that the energy of the favour is positive." He insisted he handed over the keys to his home "for two people to sit down and talk about a situation that they’re in".
And he added, "I’m not gonna get involved in it, I’m not gonna pass judgment on it. If I can be there as a friend during hard times, then I’m gonna be there as a friend. I don’t know the exact particulars… It’s a dark time for them and I was there more as a supporter, that was it." DeGeneres replied, "It’s hard for me… I don’t want any girl out there thinking it’s OK to go back to a guy who hit her." Diddy attempted to explain his decision further, adding, "I think that we all have to be honest with ourselves as adults, and people who have been in relationships, we know sometimes those relationships get ugly and sometimes this doesn’t come out into the forefront the way this one has come out. There’s a lot of stones being thrown and we don’t know exactly what’s going on.
"These are two young individuals. We need to pray for them." He then went on the attack, telling his host, "You don’t need to start just saying that you know something that you don’t know; you wasn’t in that car, I wasn’t in that car and it isn’t right for him to put his hands on her or her to put her hands on him. We don’t know what the problem is." The heated interview came just days after Oprah Winfrey urged Rihanna and Brown to consider a lengthy break from each other, so they could properly deal with the fall-out from their much-publicised fight on 8 February (09).

RIHANNA and CHRIS BROWN have reportedly recorded a duet, inspired by their bust-up a month ago (08Feb09).
Music producer Polow Da Don convinced Rihanna to turn the track she was working on before the incident into a duet with her boyfriend when the couple reconciled after a brief split.
She agreed and the young lovers recently recorded a series of "late night" sessions, according to TMZ.com.
A source tells the website, "(It was) very, very emotional… The feeling in the room was pure love." The unnamed track the pair recorded reportedly focuses on overcoming difficult challenges as a couple. There are no immediate plans to release the record.
Brown faces almost five years behind bars if convicted of two felonies connected to his alleged attack on Rihanna. He is scheduled to face sentencing in April (09).

SIENNA MILLER’s parents were thrilled when they learned their daughter would be kicking butt in action film G.I. JOE - because it meant they wouldn’t have to watch the actress die on screen, or battle drug addiction.
Miller’s folks are fed up seeing their daughter in tortured roles and can’t wait to catch her portrayal of The Baroness in the new movie.
The Factory Girl star explains, "I felt it was time to do something, where I wasn’t having a breakdown or playing a heroin addict or dying in the end; something that was just maybe really great fun. And something people go to see and actually had a great time seeing it and weren’t left damaged.
"My parents were also like, ‘Please just stop doing these films, you’re killing us!’" And Miller admits she had a blast on the set: "G. I. Joe was a huge budget and a huge crew with things blowing up all around you all the time. I think initially I was completely overwhelmed. I’d never done fight training let alone been to a gym, so this was like a whole new experience. Once I realised what I was doing, it was really fun to make a movie that was just pure entertainment."

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has set a new world record after selling out all 4,000 seats for his upcoming gig at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in an astonishing seven seconds.
Tickets for the Beatles legend’s 19 April (09) concert at the resort’s The New Joint venue went on sale on 14 February (09) - and newly-released statistics suggest the gig was the hottest ticket around, selling at a rate of nearly 600 seats a second.
But the box office record isn’t the only one McCartney is looking to smash - gig promoters at Concerts West/AEG Live hope the St. Valentine’s Day sale encouraged couples to make plans to attend the show, and they want to initiate the planet’s biggest ‘love-in’ at the event.
A spokesman for the company says, "Although Guinness World Records cites numerous records relating to Valentine’s Day, nobody has managed a Valentine’s party this big before - so we’ll be claiming that. And there is another Guinness record it would be cool to break there too - the world record for the most couples hugging simultaneously is 1,451, set in Taiwan in 2007.
"It’s going to be a love-fest in there as one half of the crowd has bought tickets for the other half of the crowd - as their Valentine’s present.
"When you set those feelings up against the love songs of Paul McCartney, it’s pretty fair to predict that there’s going to be a whole lot of lovin’ going on. If he plays (fan favourite) My Love the new roof will probably come off." McCartney’s show will be the first at New Joint - and the rocker is promising a stage spectacular.
The representative adds, "It’s going to be a night like Vegas has never seen before. Paul will leave The Joint smoking." The ticket record breaks the previous best set by British boyband Take That, whose 600,000 tickets for their Circus tour sold out at a rate of nearly 40 per second when they went on sale last year (08).

The Bad Boy boss has opted to join his rapper/producer pal Jay Electronica - the longterm boyfriend of Erykah Badu - on a two day quest for spirituality by imbibing nothing but "natural juices".
And Combs prepared for the starvation by eating all his favourite junk food right up until the 12am (EST) start on Tuesday (10Mar09).
In multiple posts on his Twitter.com page in the hours leading up to the deadline, he said, "48 hour fast to get the mind and spirit ready to go to the next level… all our dreams are gonna come true.. but it’s time to get focused.
"This is not gonna be easy for me… because I love cheeseburgers, apple pie, carbs… I ain’t gonna lie… I’m… eatin’ everything from Roscoe’s (fried chicken)… In-N-Out burger!!"

JEREMY NORTHAM has become the latest British star to sign up to front a U.S. TV drama series - he’ll play a trauma ward doctor in a new CBS drama.
Following in the footsteps of Hugh Laurie and Tim Roth, who currently front hit shows House and Lie To Me, the Gosford Park star will play an "enigmatic" medic in Miami Trauma, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
If the pilot is a hit, it won’t be Northam’s first success on U.S. TV - he played Dean Martin in TV movie Martin & Lewis and also portrayed Sir Thomas More in period drama The Tudors.
Another British star who is also set to get medical on U.S. TV screens is Saffron Burrows, who has signed on to star in The Eastmans, a drama about a "complicated family of doctors." She’ll play a medic trying find a cure for autism.

Actress SARAH MICHELLE GELLAR is to return to TV in a new comedy - six years after BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER ended.
Gellar’s six year stint on the hit series, which ended in May 2003, earned her several accolades, including a Golden Globe nomination and six Teen Choice awards.
And, according to Variety, the 31-year-old actress is set to return to the small screen in comedy The Wonderful Maladys.
The series will focus on the lives of dysfunctional siblings living in New York as they cope with losing their parents.

WILLIAM SHATNER used to go trick-or-treating in his own death mask.
The mask created in his own likeness for a Star Trek episode inspired the one Halloween villain Michael Myers wore in the horror film franchise, and Shatner thought it would be a giggle to hit Hollywood wearing the fright mask he had helped to create.
He says, "They used the white death mask in a horror film, then I bought one… and put on my own mask. It worked. I thought that was funny."

ROSARIO DAWSON agreed to play a poverty-stricken single mother in new movie EXPLICIT ILLS as a tribute to her own mum, who was a struggling teen when the actress was born.
Dawson was brought up in a squat in Manhattan, New York’s lower east side, by her mother Isabel and father Greg.
The Sin City star admits she found it tough playing the poor, single mum of a sick kid in the film, but she was able to draw inspiration from her own experiences.
Dawson tells Starpulse.com, "I’m this young mother, I’m uneducated, I’m inexperienced and I have zero resources. I grew up in an area where I know so many women who are like that and that was the story I wanted to tell. My mum was 17 when she had me." The battle with asthma her character’s son faces in the movie also made some scenes tough for Dawson.
She adds, "It was very profound for me because my mum is asthmatic and she lives far away from me. I think about that all the time. I’ve seen her in situations where she couldn’t breathe. We get out of a car and we’re in a neighborhood that has really bad smog and she totally just can not breathe. It’s such a helpless feeling to be in front of."

JENNIFER ANISTON still loves her ex-husband BRAD PITT - and hopes the pair can be "good friends again" in the future.
The former Friends star split from Pitt in 2005, amid rumours of an affair with his Mr. and Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie - who he went on to start a family with.
But even though she found the break up incredibly painful, Aniston admits she looks back on her failed marriage with fond memories.
She tells Britain’s Hello magazine, "I don’t regret any of that time with Brad and I’m not here to beat myself up about it. They were seven very intense years together and it was beautiful and complicated.

A text message sent by CHRIS BROWN’s manager and rumoured former lover sparked his altercation with girlfriend RIHANNA, according to internet reports.
Brown has been charged with assault and making criminal threats after an allegedly violent argument with the singer on the night of 8 February (09).
The Umbrella hitmaker was reportedly left with cuts and bruises and needed medical attention for her injuries.
According to TMZ.com, Tina Davis - who was rumoured to have had a romantic relationship with Brown when he was 16 - sent the singer a lengthy text message on his cell phone during the night in question, sparking a row between the couple.
An affidavit by a detective investigating the case allegedly refers to the text message as being "from a woman who Brown had a previous sexual relationship with", while law enforcement sources claim the message to the shamed R&B star proposed a meeting for a late-night rendez-vous.
Davis, 40, and Brown, 19, have both denied the affair.
The Kiss Kiss singer is free on $50,000 (£36,100) bail after he was granted a continuance at his arraignment hearing last week (05Mar09). He is due back in court in April (09).
If convicted, Brown faces up to four years and eight months behind bars.

MICKEY ROURKE was transformed into a professional wrestler by the uncle of grappler-turned-Hollywood star DWAYNE JOHNSON.
Rourke spent months at former World Wrestling Federation star Afa Anoa’i’s Wild Samoan Training Center in Florida to prepare for his role as fallen ring favourite Randy ‘The Ram’ Johnson in The Wrestler.
And Dwayne Johnson - who used to wrestle under the name The Rock - reveals he kept a close eye on Rourke’s transformation from actor to muscle-bound athlete.
He tells Moviefone.com, "My uncle actually trained Mickey for the movie, and he would call me weekly and give me progress reports on Mickey. That’s a tough task to go from just being an actor to becoming not only a professional wrestler, but a professional wrestler who’s wrestled for 25 years. My uncle was amazed at Mickey’s progress and his desire to do everything. That takes commitment." And Johnson insists he is a huge fan of the film, insisting it accurately depicted the wrestling world.
He adds, "I loved the movie. I thought Mickey’s performance was outstanding. I thought that the movie that Darren Aronofsky created was real and memorable. That world -­ it’s a very visceral, authentic world that he created, and I can’t say enough great things about the movie, and I’m very proud of Mickey." Rourke’s performance in the movie earned him a Best Actor Oscar nomination - but he lost out to Sean Penn, who took home the prize for Milk at February’s (09) ceremony.

British motor racing champion LEWIS HAMILTON has been honoured with an MBE by QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
Hamilton collected the honour - which makes him a Member of the Order of the British Empire - at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday (10Mar09), four months after he became the youngest Formula One champion in history.
The 24-year-old - who is dating Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger - said after the ceremony, "I was so nervous to meet her. It was one of the most overwhelming experiences I’ve ever had. I’m kind of lost for words.

English actresses KEIRA KNIGHTLEY and SIENNA MILLER bonded on the set of their 2008 movie THE EDGE OF LOVE by playing games and learning musical instruments together.
The stars play two lovers of poet Dylan Thomas in the period drama, but Miller insists they were anything but rivals off set, and devoted hours to their mutual love of "nerdy" pastimes.
The 27-year-old tells Starpulse.com, "I mean, we’re quite nerdy. We talk about books and we play cards and do The Guardian (newspaper) crossword. We were living together in this house in Wales that was really beautiful and we all sort of walked around in our pyjamas and went for long walks." Their friendship has continued long after shooting wrapped on the movie - and the two actresses are now spending their time together inspiring each other to learn new skills.
Miller adds, "She’s (Knightley’s) learning the flute at the moment, I’m learning the piano, quite nerdy. I used to play the piano when I was younger and I’m kind of now going back to it, but I can’t read music, so I play it by ear. I need someone to play it, so it’s a little complicated to do on my own, but it’s fun."

Comedian TONY ROCK has been charged with drink driving - three weeks after he was arrested in Los Angeles, California on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).
Chris Rock’s younger brother was pulled over by Highway Patrol officers at around 2.40am local time on 18 February (09) after he was caught allegedly speeding down the 101 Freeway.
Tony Rock was confronted by cops, who suspected he was intoxicated behind the wheel, and he was booked after failing sobriety tests.
The Los Angeles City Attorney has now charged the comedian with two counts of driving under the influence and driving with a .08 blood alcohol level or higher, reports TMZ.com If convicted, he faces six months in jail.

BRITNEY SPEARS’ actress sibling JAMIE LYNN is looking to follow in her big sister’s footsteps and conquer the music charts - with an album of country songs.
The Zoey 101 star has been out of the spotlight since giving birth to daughter Maddie last year (08), but she is ready to make a comeback and is allegedly shopping for a record deal.
According to E! Online, the 17-year-old is seeking inspiration from her southern roots and has been busy recording tracks in the country music mecca of Nashville, Tennessee.
The teenager has previously spoken of her desire to cross over into music, saying: "I’ll probably do a lot of acting first, then go to singing. But I am going to definitely sing someday. So when I do start singing, buy my album!"
