HEATH LEDGER’s NED KELLY co-star DAMIAN WALSHE-HOWLING has landed a villainous role in the much-anticipated sequel to surf movie POINT BREAK.
The Aussie actor will play a pirate called Dali in director Jan de Bont’s Point Break Indo.
According to movie news website MovieHole.net, Dali and his associates wear masks of the Bush administration - George W. Bush, Colin Powell, Dick Cheney - as they strip boats of valuables.
The original Point Break featured Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.
Point Break Indo will shoot in both Indonesia and Australia.

A U.S. TV news show has the damning evidence that could send troubled R&B star CHRIS BROWN to jail - pictures of his bloodstained rented Lamborghini.
The singer will be arraigned on Thursday (05Mar09) after allegedly beating his girlfriend Rihanna during a row on 8 February (09) - and experts claim new photos from the crime scene could be enough to put Brown behind bars.
News show Extra has obtained the photographs, which show the inside of Brown’s rented vehicle after his fight with Rihanna.
The shots clearly show multiple blood stains and smears, scuff marks and a missing cigarette lighter.
Forensics expert Mary Pierson, who has examined the photos and shots of Rihanna’s battered face for Extra, says, "The stitching is saturated in blood.
"Rihanna’s face was bruised and the corners of her mouth did show bleeding. So yes, there could have been blood from the mouth on the console (from) hitting or some kind of low impact blow." And former District Attorney and County Court Judge Jeanine Pirro also reviewed these new pieces of evidence for Extra. She adds, "The photos identify the crime scene. If indeed it is her blood, and I suspect it is… they (photos) have to corroborate everything that she says." And Pirro insists the bloody photos will be enough to convict Brown on battery charges: "You’ve got it all there. You’ve got this case beyond a reasonable doubt. Prosecute it!"

EVA LONGORIA-PARKER credits her long-distance relationship with husband TONY PARKER for keeping their marriage strong.
The Desperate Housewives star divides her time between Los Angeles, where she shoots the hit show, Texas, where Parker plays for basketball team the San Antonio Spurs - and his home in France.
And she insists long periods apart mean the couple cherishes the time they spend together.
Longoria-Parker explains, "(When we’re together) it is a honeymoon, because we only have three days together and we hardly fight because we know we don’t have much time. All the little things that couples argue about - we let them slide."

Flashy cars and rare guitars owned by the likes of ROD STEWART and DUSTY SPRINGFIELD are going under the hammer at an upcoming auction in London.
The Rock Legends sale will feature more than 45 vintage guitars, including a 1952 Gibson Les Paul model - which is expected to fetch over $28,000 (£20,000).
The motor section will include a Ferrari Superamerica and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder previously owned by rocker Stewart, a small Citroen once owned by Springfield, and the Aston Martin DB5 which appeared in the video for Robbie Williams’ 1998 hit single, Millennium.
The items will be sold off by international auctioneers COYS on 12 March (09) at the Royal Horticultural Halls in the English capital.

French First Lady CARLA BRUNI-SARKOZY is desperate to start a family with her husband, President NICOLAS SARKOZY - even if it means they have to adopt.
The supermodel-turned-singer fears that, at 41, she may be too old to conceive naturally - but she has vowed to adopt if nature stands in the couple’s way.
In an interview with French publication La Figaro, Bruni-Sarkozy - who has a seven year old son from a previous relationship - says, "I would like that, but I don’t know if at my age it would be possible.
"If it’s not biologically possible, I’ll adopt one. I’m not obsessed by blood ties. I think you can build a powerful bond without that.
"So I’d love to have a child, but I’m not going to fight against nature.
"(But) as I already have one (child), and my husband has three, you can’t really say we have a need of children." Sarkozy, who married the Italian-born star in 2008, has three sons from two previous marriages.

Actress REESE WITHERSPOON felt "humiliated" and "isolated" following her 2006 split from husband RYAN PHILLIPPE.
The Hollywood sweethearts shocked everyone when they announced they were divorcing in October 2006, after seven years of marriage.
Their break-up prompted rumours of infidelity on Phillippe’s part - claims he has vehemently denied - after he was romantically linked to his Stop-Loss co-star and now-girlfriend Abbie Cornish.
Witherspoon reveals she hit rock bottom in the months following the split.
She tells the April (09) issue of Elle magazine, "(It was) very humiliating and very isolating. But, by the way, if it’s not painful, maybe it wasn’t the right decision to marry to begin with. Those are the appropriate emotions.
"When people get in your face and say, ‘This will pass,’ you think, ‘Are they crazy?’ I’m never gonna feel any better than I feel right this minute and nothing’s ever gonna make sense again. And I still have moments where I’m like, ‘Nothing’s ever gonna make sense again.’" And Witherspoon, who shares daughter Ava, eight, and four-year-old son Deacon with Phillippe, was determined not to blame her ex for the breakdown of their marriage.
She adds, "It’s a really easy thing to do, and I’m certainly guilty of it. (You have to) look at yourself and go, ‘What part of this do I need to own? Which part of this is my responsibility?’ And that’s the painful work that you have to go through to hopefully get some real life knowledge out of it."

TAYLOR SWIFT continues to dominate the U.S. album chart by keeping ex-boyfriend JOE JONAS and his brothers off the top of the countdown.
Just days after the Jonas Brothers suffered a blow at the box office - when their 3-D concert movie flopped, the trio’s soundtrack from the project has failed to debut at number one on the album chart.

Faceless French dance music duo DAFT PUNK have landed the soundtrack to Disney’s TRON remake.
The Harder Better Faster Stronger hitmakers, who appear onstage and in videos as robots, will record the tracks for TR2N in a new Los Angeles studio they have built.
The original 1982 science fiction classic featured a soundtrack from Wendy Carlos, a musician and composer who helped to popularise the Moog synthesiser as a musical instrument.

Fans of TV drama THE L WORD can really own a piece of the show when set items are auctioned off on Saturday (07Mar09).
The series, based on the lives of a group of lesbians, is coming to an end after six successful seasons, and Able Auctions are offering devotees the chance to bid for the majority of the show’s set.
Items include furniture and decor from character Kit Porter’s stylish Planet cafe, and her mint condition 1974 Chevrolet Impala, to designer clothing and shoes - and sex toys.
The huge sale, which is expected to take eight hours, will take place at a large warehouse in Vancouver, Canada.

HUGH HEFNER’s ex HOLLY MADISON has reportedly been called up as a last-minute DANCING WITH THE STARS replacement for injured singer JEWEL.

RIHANNA has fuelled rumours she has married CHRIS BROWN by refusing to deny U.S. tabloid reports of a secret wedding.
The pair spent the weekend (28Feb-01Mar09) together at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ mansion in Miami, Florida, reuniting just weeks after a pre-Grammy Awards fight that allegedly left Rihanna battered and bruised and Brown facing criminal threat charges.

She believes in fairytales, and she wants to live hers with Chris. U.S. Senator EDWARD KENNEDY is to be awarded an honorary knighthood by British monarch QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
The politician, 77, will be designated a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire, for his services to U.S/U.K relations, according to the office of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
Brown announced the news on Tuesday (03Mar09) during a joint session of Congress in Washington, D.C., as part of an official visit to the U.S.
He said, "I know that you will allow me to single out for special mention today one of your most distinguished Senators, known in every continent and a great friend. Northern Ireland today is at peace, more Americans have health care, children around the world are going to school, and for all those things we owe a great debt to the life and courage of, Senator Edward Kennedy." Kennedy, who remains under treatment for a brain tumour diagnosed last May (08), follows his famous family’s history of close ties to the U.K.
His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, served as Ambassador to the U.K. under U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt.
Kennedy says of his honour, "I have always prized the opportunity to work with the British government and strengthen and deepen the role of our two countries as leading beacons of democracy in the world. I am proud that I was able to play a part in the decades-long effort to bring peace to Northern Ireland.
"So for me this honour is moving and personal - a reflection not only of my public life, but of things that profoundly matter to me as an individual.
"I accept this honour in the spirit in which it is given, with a continuing commitment to be a voice for the voiceless and for the shared ideals of freedom and fairness which are so fundamental to the character of our two countries."

LINDSAY LOHAN is so desperate to sell her New York apartment, she’s offering it for $200,000 (£142,000) less than it’s worth.
The Mean Girls actress has set the asking price for the 40th-floor two-bedroom midtown Manhattan home at $1.2 million (£857,000).
The apartment boasts two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open chef’s kitchen and unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty.
But Lohan will take a financial hit in exchange for a quick sale - other apartments in the same building are reportedly on the market for a much higher price, reports MSNBC.com.

Hollywood actress REESE WITHERSPOON is spearheading a new campaign to end violence against women.
The Walk The Line star, a global ambassador for cosmetics brand Avon and an honorary chairperson of the Avon Foundation for Women, is encouraging people to support the drive by purchasing the Avon Women’s Empowerment Necklace, priced at just $5 (£3.50).
Proceeds from jewellery sales will be donated to domestic violence programmes.
Speaking at the Washington, D.C. launch on Tuesday (03Mar09), Witherspoon said, "Nearly a billion women worldwide are affected by violence.
"The Empowerment Necklace is an easy way for all women to take action and demonstrate solidarity to reduce the worldwide epidemic of violence against women." It is the second such campaign Witherspoon has fronted - she launched the Empowerment Bracelet last year (08) and raised $4 million (£2.8 million) for charity.

JENNIFER ANISTON has vowed to quit Hollywood to escape the glare of the media spotlight.
The former Friends star, who is dating musician John Mayer, is hounded by the paparazzi eager to get a snap of Aniston on a daily basis.
But the actress is sick of the constant attention, and is planning to leave Los Angeles one day, to live "somewhere remote" where "nobody really cares".

"I can see myself taking a few years off, living somewhere remote. I would miss acting.
"But… eventually, I’m not going to be living in L.A. full-time. Eventually I’m going to move somewhere nobody really cares. Just go off and be alone."

Retired music mogul ALAN MCGEE is waging a bizarre and bitter online war of words with a man impersonating superproducer BRIAN ENO.
The pair have been exchanging insults on social networking site Twitter for a number of days, in full view of other internet users.
According to CMU Music, McGee started the fight by insulting Eno’s production work, and then asking him "when are you going to make a decent record again…1972 was the last one c**t".
But McGee’s rants are falling on deaf ears, according to Scottish dance star Calvin Harris. Harris reveals he approached Eno at a recent event to ask about the argument with McGee, and the producer - who has worked with Coldplay and David Bowie - insisted he isn’t even signed up to Twitter.
