KEATING NEARLY MISSED KILIMANJARO CLIMB

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:18 pm

BOYZONE star RONAN KEATING almost pulled out of a charity mission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, after his flight was delayed.
The British singer is set to scale the 19,000-foot (5,890 metre) peak in Africa with a group of nine U.K. stars, including Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole and Take That frontman Gary Barlow, on a 10-day expedition this month (Mar09).
But Keating nearly withdrew from the trip - when his connecting plane from Dublin, Ireland was delayed by an hour and a half.
A spokeswoman for Comic Relief, the charity organising the trek, says: "Ronan nearly didn’t make it; it was touch and go.
"His flight from Dublin was delayed and once he did arrive at Heathrow he had to be driven over to the plane. Luckily he was just in time."
