Rapper NAS is thrilled after learning his singer wife KELIS is pregnant with a baby boy.
The hip-hop star recently confirmed he and the Milkshake hitmaker were expecting their first child, and now Nas - who has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship - has announced the sex of the baby.
He writes on Russell Simmonsâ�� Global Grind website: "Personally, life is good. I’m sure that yâ��all heard K (Kelis) is expecting. The internet seems to be more excited than I am. Itâ��s crazy! I got too much to think about, and I didnâ��t wanna leave all my fans out the loop.

TARAJI P. HENSON was so starstruck by her THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON co-star BRAD PITT she invited him home to meet all her friends.
The actress was convinced producers would turn her down for a role in the movie because they would want a "big celebrity" to appear alongside Pitt.
She was shocked when she landed the part - and even more surprised to learn the Hollywood megastar is "just a regular guy".
Henson tells USA Today newspaper, "Three of my very best girlfriends flew into town and wanted to meet Brad Pitt. So I was like, ‘Brad, come over. My girlfriends are going crazy over you.’ He comes over, and he’s so cool. He has a way of being very warm and making people feel welcome."

AMY WINEHOUSE’s dad MITCH has reportedly flown out to the Caribbean amid fears the singer is falling back into her boozy ways.
The Rehab hitmaker has been enjoying a sunshine break in St. Lucia since December (08) following her battle against drink and drugs.
She was taken to a medical facility on the island on Friday (13Feb09) night after suddenly falling ill - with a representative for the star claiming the singer collapsed after running out of prescription medication.
And now concerned father Mitch has flown out to be by his daughter’s side amid fears she will start drinking again.
A source tells The Sun newspaper, "She needs an eye on her in case she hits the hard stuff."

ISLA FISHER has defended her film CONFESSIONS OF A SHOPAHOLIC after critics branded the movie’s release inappropriate during the current financial crisis.
In the film, the actress plays Becky Bloomwood, a financial journalist who struggles to keep her shopping addiction under control.
But Fisher is adamant the timing of the movie is perfect - because audiences can learn something from her character�s spending habits.
She tells WENN, â��The character is learning lessons about consumption and debt like the rest of us right now. It feels fairly topical. Obviously the movie was conceived during a different economic period but she learns her lesson. It is a redemption story.â�� And Fisherâ��s co-star Hugh Dancy, who plays her love interest in the big screen adaptation of Sophie Kinsella’s books, argues that the light-hearted movie can provide escape to those hit hard by the economic climate.
He adds: "We were not attempting to make an educational movie or documentary but the message is very simple: There are more important things than shopping and clothes. But this is a comedy first and foremost."

Outspoken comedienne ROSEANNE BARR is hoping CHRIS BROWN will face jail time over the troubled R&B star’s row with girlfriend RIHANNA earlier this month (Feb09).
Brown was arrested and charged with making criminal threats after a bust-up his then-girlfriend.
He subsequently issued an official statement insisting most of "what has been speculated or reported" by the media is wrong.
But now actress Barr has slammed Brown for his "lies and excuses", insisting the singer deserves to be punished if he committed the crime.
She writes on her official blog: "Chris Brown’s lies and excuses make me want to beat the crap out of him…he uses the language of the perpetrator just like every sleazy b***ard who ever smacked his wife, kid mother or girlfriend around uses.
"You dirty b***ard, I hope you go to prison for ten years. IT’S YOUR FAULT, A**HOLE!"

LILY ALLEN has sparked an online war of words with gossip king PEREZ HILTON, branding the celebrity blogger a "parasite".
The outspoken singer turned to her page on social networking site Twitter to take Hilton to task after he posted photos of her dancing on his website, likening her on-stage moves to an "awkward cow".
The Smile hitmaker wrote to Hilton: "I’m sorry, we’ve already cast the jealous and bitter lonely old queen role. Next time eh?" Hilton hit back hours later by posting: "Jealous of who? David Beckham, maybe. And if I wanted to be a f**ked up Brit, I’d rather be Amy Winehouse - whose (sic) got talent." Minutes later he took aim at Allen’s decision to sell her album at a reduced price, adding: "Congrats on your album doing well in America, though. It’s REALLY HARD to sell copies when you discount it to $3.99. Desperate!" But a miffed Allen then countered: "It’s also number one everywhere else in the world, douchebag. Go away you little parasite… God, you’re like so obsessed with me it’s embarrassing." Oscar-winning actress HALLE BERRY has stolen a new role - she’s been signed up to star in upcoming heist movie WHO IS DORIS PAYNE.
The X-Men star will play the lead character in the fact-based film about infamous international jewel thief Payne, according to Variety.
J2 Pictures partners Justin Berfield and Jason Felts are producing the movie - scripted by Eunetta Boone - which is slated for release in 2010.

Soccer stud DAVID BECKHAM is set to make the move to Italy after all - his wife VICTORIA has reportedly given him the go-ahead to leave Los Angeles.
The sports superstar is desperate to secure a transfer from current club L.A. Galaxy to Italian giants AC Milan, despite the reluctance of wife Victoria to uproot their family.
But the couple has now reportedly agreed their three children Brooklyn, nine, Romeo, six, and Cruz, three, will stay in America until the end of the school year - paving the way for Beckham to make the move.
A source tells U.K. newspaper The Sun, �Victoria has told David she loves him and nothing will come between the family. He was thrilled that she has let him pursue his last chance of playing top flight football.� A deal has yet to be agreed between the two clubs but Beckham is confident he will make the move to the fashion capital.
The source adds, �It looks like David has got his way after making a very strong case for his career ending in Milan. David probably only has a few seasons left in him and if he wants to keep his England place and maybe play in another World Cup he must compete at the top level. Victoria can see that now - and after his career ends they can settle anywhere they want.�

Hollywood actor PIERCE BROSNAN is the latest celebrity feeling the effects of the global economic crisis - his upcoming big-screen outing has reportedly been delayed due to a lack of funds.
The former James Bond star signed up to play Lord Charles Somerset in Heaven and Earth, a $20 million (£14 million) biopic of James Miranda Barry - a woman doctor who masqueraded as a man to follow a medical career.
Filming was due to start on the big budget movie last Thursday (12Feb09) with a release date planned for later this year (09).
But the economic crisis has put paid to those plans - with U.K. newspaper The Independent reporting an unidentified British backer has failed to provide promised funds in time, forcing filming to be delayed.

Actress ISLA FISHER is looking to create the ultimate comedy partnership - she wants to team up with fiance SACHA BARON COHEN for a movie.

SOPHIE OKONEDO’s new movie SKIN has triumphed at the 17th Annual Pan African Film & Arts Festival Film Competition, scoring two major prizes.
The drama, based on the true story of a black woman born to white parents in apartheid South Africa, was awarded the Jury Favourite prize at the awards luncheon in Culver City, California on Monday (16Feb09).
The picture was also named Best Narrative Feature in the category voted for by moviegoers.
French film Cuba, An African Odyssey landed the Best Documentary Feature honour, Prince of Broadway was handed Best Narrative Feature by festival bosses and Maria Govan was handed the coveted Best Director-First Feature award for 2008 film Rain.

A party to celebrate the launch of new movie FRIDAY THE 13TH turned into a real life blood bath last week (13Feb09) - when one of the franchise’s former stars was attacked with an axe.
Warrington Gillette, who played serial killer Jason Vorhees in 1981’s Friday the 13th Part 2, was attending an event on Friday (13Feb09) honouring the new slasher remake.
The actor arrived in full costume, wearing the character’s famous ice hockey mask, and took to the stage to frighten partygoers wielding a real axe.
But his performance ended in disaster when a woman invaded the stage and tried to wrestle his weapon away from him, slashing his hand.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "She jumped on stage and tried to grab his axe. It was straight out of a horror movie. Lingerie-clad models were running and screaming, as a blood-soaked Jason ran off the runway to get to a hospital." The character Vorhees has been played by ten actors over the course of 12 films, with Derek Mears playing the latest incarnation of the mass murderer.

Former pop star MARLON JACKSON has come under fire after investing in a "slavery theme park" and resort in an African town once linked to human trafficking.
The ex-Jackson 5 singer, brother of superstar Michael Jackson, is involved in a $3.4 billion (£2.4 billion) plan to build the Badagry Historical Resort Development Project in the historic port town of Badagry, Nigeria, which was a central hub during the height of the slave trade.
But historians have criticised the scheme, which would include a theme park with a slave ship replica, a collection of Jackson 5 memorabilia, and a museum about slavery.
Writer C Don Adinuba says, "This plan is morally reprehensible, it’s like dancing on the graves of dead people and telling them you’re honouring them." The Motherland Group (TMG), the plans’ developers, maintains the site will boost the Nigerian economy by attracting African-American tourists tracing their roots, and will provide vital employment opportunities for locals.
A spokesman says, "The Badagry Historical Resort Development Project of Nigeria in essence can become the newly desired and sought-after vacation destination of the world." And Jackson himself believes the historic slave town is the perfect setting to house a Jackson 5 tribute.
TMG executive Gary Loster says, "The Jackson family had been looking for a place to site their memorabilia collection for some time.
"We visited the site of the slave port in Badagry and Marlon turned to me and said: ‘Let’s put it here, this is right.’ It’s such an emotional place, and I think we all felt that it was the right place to have the Jackson family memorial."

The founder of a U.S. Muslim TV network has been charged with beheading his wife.
Muzzammil Hassan, founder and CEO of Bridges TV, was arrested and charged over the murder of his wife Aasiya Hassan on Thursday (12Feb09) after directing police to her beheaded body, which he had dumped in the offices of the television network.
Aasiya Hassan had recently filed for divorce and order of protection mandating that he leave their family home on 6 February (09), according to the Hollywood Reporter.
A statement on the network’s website reads, "Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to the families of the victim. We request that their right to privacy be respected." The network was set-up by Hassan in 2004 to provide programming in America to show Muslims in a more positive light.

Rapper KID CUDI has taken to his Internet blog to dash rumours he was arrested by police after a recent altercation at a party in Arizona.
The hip-hop star was due to perform at a bash sponsored by athletic brand Reebok when he was involved in a scuffle with two event employees at the NBA’s All-Star weekend (begs14Feb09) in Phoenix, Arizona.
Initial reports suggested a fight broke out, which authorities ended by hitting Kid Cudi with a stun gun and placing a set of handcuffs on him.
But the star denies he was apprehended for assault, telling fans: "I was tasered (s**t hurt like a muthaf**ka), I was not arrested. I didnâ��t put my hands on anyone; the muthaf**ka I was trying to touch, I couldn’t reach his f**kin’ collar to grab him." And the Day ‘N’ Nite hitmaker has also denied eyewitness reports the tussle was sparked after he insisted upon wearing Nike shoes onstage instead of a pair of Reeboks.
He adds: "It wasn’t over me wearing Jordans. I arrived at the event in the most fugliest (ugliest) Reeboks ever."

Singer SANTOGOLD is still facing a lawsuit over her stage name - despite changing her recording title to SANTIGOLD.
The star - real name Santi White - announced the change in a statement last week (beg09Feb09), but failed to offer fans a reason for the swap.
Singer/actor Santo Rigatuso sued White in 2008 over her use of the name, which he claimed to have used since 1983.
And now he has confirmed that the name change will not affect the lawsuit - he will continue to press ahead with the case.
Rigatuso’s attorney, Jill L. Abitbol, tells Allhiphop.com, "It’s nothing that’s been done in accordance with any agreement with my client.
"(White) has been infringing on our client’s name and has decided to change it. Litigation is ongoing." Rigatuso is seeking compensation from White as well as her music labels, Downtown Records and Lizard King Records.

Veteran singer GERRY RAFFERTY is alive and well - and living anonymously at a south of England hideaway, according to his ex-wife.
The Baker Street hitmaker disappeared from St Thomas’ Hospital in south London in August last year (08) after receiving treatment for liver failure - and has reportedly not been since seen.
But Rafferty’s ex-wife Carla has revealed the musician is in hiding in the south of England - but she refused to disclose his exact whereabouts.
She says, "He’s fine. He’s got plenty of people looking after him." And Tony Williams - who appeared alongside Rafferty in Stealers Wheel and had a huge hit in the 1970s with Stuck in the Middle - is relieved his former bandmate is apparently okay: "I’m so glad. He had me worried."

Big band drummer LOUIE BELLSON has died in Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, aged 84.
The star, who shared the stage with greats including Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman and Oscar Peterson, passed away on Saturday (14Feb09) of complications due to Parkinson’s disease.
He was previously hospitalised in November (08) with a broken hip.
Bellson performed with jazz legends Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie and Louis Armstrong and worked on more than 200 albums in his career, which spanned more than six decades.
The six-time Grammy Award nominee also received the prestigious American Jazz Masters Award from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1994.
A memorial service is planned for Los Angeles, as well as a funeral and burial in his hometown of Moline, Illinois.
