SCHRODER COUNTERSUES AGAINST THEFT CLAIMS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 5:30 pm

Actor RICK SHRODER is caught up in a legal battle with a California woman who is accusing him of stealing $7,000 (£4,965)-worth of workman’s tools.
The former NYPD Blue star, full name Richard Schroder, and his plumber pal Brent Black are being sued by Black’s ex-girlfriend Alicia Roberts.
Roberts claims Black, who moved out of her Malibu, California home in December (08), entered her residence with Schroder "without permission or knowledge" and took the tools.
The duo has fired back at the allegations, and is countersuing.
Black alleges Roberts is a "crazy, bitter b**ch" and is still in possession of his tools. He further claims Roberts is suing out of revenge and has dragged Schroder into their dispute, reports TMZ.com.
Schroder is seeking $5,000 (£3,455) in compensation, alleging he hasn’t even met Roberts and has lost work as a result of the lawsuit.
In his counter claim, he states, "I made at least $5,000 for directing work and had to cancell (sic) work." Schroder goes on to accuse Roberts of committing perjury, harassing him and trespassing on his property.

FOSTER CAUGHT UP IN TV COP SHOW

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Hollywood actress JODIE FOSTER found herself caught up in a reality TV programme when she was recently stopped for a driving offence in Los Angeles.
The Oscar-winner was pulled over by cops last weekend (21-22Feb09), after the officers suspected her of driving her Toyota Prius at over 54 miles per hour (86 kilometres per hour) in a 35 miles per hour (56 kilometres per hour) zone.
The officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department were taking part in U.S. reality show Speeders, which follows the activities of highway patrol officers.
And when one of the cops approached Foster to issue the speeding ticket, the actress reportedly grew agitated when she saw the following camera crew and refused to allow the incident to appear on the TV show.
A source tells New York Post gossip column PageSix, "Foster refused to sign a waiver to appear on the show, so the camera crew ceased filming and returned to the police car. But she grew quite agitated and angry, and kept insisting to the police officers that the radar gun must have made a mistake. She maintained to the officers that she was only going 30 mph at the time they pulled her over, and she kept interrupting and complaining that the process was taking too long.
"Despite her numerous requests otherwise, the cops still issued her a citation." Beverly Hills Police spokesman Lieutenant Tony Lee confirmed Foster was involved in the incident, adding, "She was upset that she got pulled over, but she signed the ticket and went on her way."

STANLEY: ‘KISS SONGS WILL GO ON FOREVER’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY is convinced the veteran rockers will never "grow tired" of playing the same old songs - because it would be "disrespectful" to their fans to retire their classic hits.
The Love Gun hitmakers formed in 1972 and have sold over 85 million albums worldwide throughout their longrunning career.
The band recently announced they are heading back to the studio to record their first new material in ten years.
But singer Stanley is adamant that they are are not going to focus all their efforts on the new record - insisting they will still reward their legions of fans by filling their live shows with old favourites.
He says, "Playing a lot of classic songs has really just whetted our appetite to go in the studio and transfer that, that same feeling and ferocity into new material. I would never, ever grow tired of those songs. The songs have made me both incredibly satisfied and rich and made a lot of other people very, very happy. It would be a show of disrespect - and maybe not deserving - to grow tired of something that’s meant that much."

T.I.’S CHILD SUPPORT RAISED AGAIN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:30 pm

Rapper T.I. will have to raise his child support payments to the mother of his two children - after a judge increased the monthly installments for a second time.
The Whatever You Like hitmaker, 27, gives ex-girlfriend LaShon Dixon regular payments to care for the former couple’s two sons, aged seven and eight.
T.I. - real name Clifford Harris Jr. - was taken to court last year (08) by his ex, after she claimed the $2,000 (£1,379) monthly installments were not enough. An Atlanta, Georgia judge agreed and forced the star to raise the payments to $3,000 (£2,068).
But Dixon continued her fight, and now a judge at Georgia’s Fulton County Superior Court has granted her an extra $2,000 (£1,379), bringing her monthly total to $5,000 (£3,448).
At the hearing on Wednesday (25Feb09), the judge also stated that the custody arrangement between the pair will remain the same.
The hip-hop star currently shares custody of the boys, with Dixon retaining primary physical custody.
Dixon’s attorney Randy Kessler admitted his client is "very grateful" for the judge’s decision, calling it "a complete victory".
T.I. is a father to three other children from different relationships, including the two young sons he shares with longtime girlfriend Tameka ‘Tiny’ Cottle, formerly of R&B group Xscape.
