Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:30 pm

The frontman of BARENAKED LADIES has announced his decision to part ways with the Canadian group.
Steven Page is planning to pursue solo ventures, including composing the score for the Renaissance play Bartholomew Fair, which will be staged at Canada’s Stratford Festival this summer (09).
The remaining Barenaked Ladies will continue to perform and plan to tour later this year (09).
Page writes on his official blog: "Yes, it’s official. I am no longer a Barenaked Lady. After twenty years (plus a few months), I’m heading out on my own.
"These guys are my brothers. We’ve grown up together over the past twenty years. I love them and wish them all the best in the future." Page’s bandmates have wished him the best in his endeavours, with singer Ed Robertson adding: "It’s the start of a new chapter for all of us. Here’s to the future!"
