WILLIAMS SHUNS SPOTLIGHT FOR MATILDA

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:51 pm

Actress MICHELLE WILLIAMS refuses to bring daughter MATILDA up in Los Angeles - because of the legacy of her late father HEATH LEDGER.
The Dawson’s Creek star shuns the spotlight, choosing to live in Brooklyn, New York with her three-year-old.
And Williams would never consider moving to Hollywood, because of the media circus surrounding Matilda’s late father.
The actress tells Britain’s Telegraph newspaper, "I wouldn’t raise (Matilda) there. For all the obvious reasons - being the daughter of…(Heath) "Being an actor’s daughter. It’s a town that’s about one thing and I want her to have options." Ledger, who is hotly tipped to receive a posthumous Academy Award on Sunday (22Feb09) for his turn as The Joker in The Dark Knight, died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment on 22 January 2008.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:51 pm

MICHELLE WILLIAMS still feels unable to return to work following the accidental death of her ex-fiancee HEATH LEDGER last year (08).
The pair met while working on Brokeback Mountain together and went on to have a daughter, Matilda, in 2005.
They split in 2007, after three years together, and Ledger died from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs at his New York apartment on 22 January 2008.
The news shattered Williams, who had to face a barrage of media attention in the wake of his death whilst caring for their daughter.
And the Dawson’s Creek star still doesn’t feel ready to take on a new movie project after the emotions of the past year.
She tells Britain’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, "I felt burnt out. I still feel that, but I’m coming back to my wits, little by little.
"But ultimately I am not yet ready to work. I’ve actually really been enjoying not working. I guess everybody enjoys that."

The Holiday hitmaker split from husband Guy Ritchie last year (08) and has recently been seen out with Luz, who was alleged to have joined the singer on vacation in the Maldives in December (08).

PATEL AND PINTO SPOTTED JEWELLERY SHOPPING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 3:45 pm

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE actors DEV PATEL and FREIDA PINTO have fuelled speculation they are dating - by shopping for jewellery together on Valentine’s Day (14Feb09).
The pair play childhood sweethearts in the Oscar-nominated movie, and their offscreen friendship has prompted rumours of a real-life romance.
Patel dismissed the speculation last month (Jan09), insisting he and Pinto are just good friends.
He said, "We’re soulmates because we’re both in this surreal situation. She is very beautiful (but) there’s no romance." But Pinto, 24, is rumoured to have ended her relationship with Rohan Antao earlier this month (Feb09) - opening the way for her to date 18-year-old Patel.
Their co-star Anil Kapoor, who plays a gameshow host in the film, said in a recent interview he is convinced they are more than just friends.
And Patel and Pinto further fuelled the rumours by spending the most romantic day of the year together last weekend (14Feb09), perusing a jewellery strore on London’s Oxford Street, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
An onlooker tells the publication, “Dev and Frieda seemed completely smitten with each other. They spent 15 minutes in the jeweller’s and were quite happy to sign autographs and talk to fans.
“They paid particular attention to one of the cabinets which was full of the more expensive rings stocked by the store chain. They didn’t buy anything in the end, but they certainly spent plenty of time studying the range.”

ALBA BLAMES PRESS FOR RUINING WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:51 am

JESSICA ALBA has accused the media of ruining her 2008 wedding to CASH WARREN, by reporting on the ’secret’ ceremony before she could tell her parents.
The couple wed in a low-key ceremony at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in Los Angeles on 19 May (08), just weeks before Alba gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter Honor Marie.
The 27-year-old actress was devastated when news of the wedding leaked and her parents found out from a journalist.
She tells America’s Elle magazine, "The person who helped us sign the documents told the press that day, so my parents found out from a reporter before we got to tell them. We were planning to take them out to dinner and tell them, but that got ruined.
"(I was) More hurt, probably, than anything. It’s not the first time something like that has happened. Journalists feel entitled to do whatever it takes to get a sensational story, no matter how it affects the person involved. We’re not really people, right? We’re just celebrities." And though Alba has vowed not to let the negative attention effect her eight-month-old daughter, she admits she’s become fiercely protective of little Honor.
She adds, "You know, kids pick up on your energy, so the more upset you get about it, the more your kids are affected by it. But I understand how Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin knocks out somebody who’s putting a camera in their kids’ faces. I get that."

ROBERTS LEARNED FROM HER LEADING MEN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:48 am

JULIA ROBERTS is grateful to have shared screen time with prank-loving actors RICHARD GERE and MEL GIBSON - because their onset antics gave her early insight into the male psyche.
Roberts was in her twenties when she first appeared alongside Gere in 1990 romantic comedy Pretty Woman, and with Gibson in their 1997 film Conspiracy Theory.
And the movie star, who is now married to cameraman Danny Moder, admits that developing a platonic bond with the leading men helped her gain confidence around the opposite sex.
She tells Allure magazine, "Early on, I worked with Richard Gere and Denzel (Washington) and Dennis Quaid and Mel Gibson, and all these profoundly smart, handsome guys. I was lucky enough to be part of their lives and become friends with them, and it is interesting to understand a solid perspective of the male psyche as a person who’s non-threatening to that guy. Men are so revealing when they’re not trying to woo you, when you’re not intimidated or being flirty, when you’re just interested."
