OSCARS BOSSES OFFER NEW MUM M.I.A. A BED
Oscar producers LAURENCE MARK and BILL CONDON are going to remarkable lengths to persuade new mum M.I.A. to be part of the Oscars telecast next weekend (22Feb09) - even offering her the chance to perform from bed.
The rapper/singer gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday (11Feb09), after performing at the Grammy Awards on her due date (08Feb09).
And Mark hopes the star’s fighting spirit will push her to sing Oscar-nominated tune O, Saya at the Academy Awards.
He says, "She’s eager to perform…We’ve said things like, ‘We’re willing to have her enter on a large bed.’ We’ll make it as easy for her as we can."
