GELDOF FAMILY ‘READ PEACHES DIVORCE NEWS ONLINE’
BOB GELDOF had no idea his daughter PEACHES was getting divorced - until his eldest daughter FIFI discovered the news on the Internet, according to reports.
The 19-year-old London party girl announced her split from New York musician Max Drummey, 24, over the weekend (07Feb09). The pair wed in Las Vegas in September (08) after a whirlwind romance.
The Boomtown Rats singer was unaware of Peaches’ relationship status - until his 25-year-old daughter read about her sister’s antics on the web, reports Britain’s Daily Mirror.
A source tells the publication, "To say that Bob is annoyed is an understatement. The first he heard about the divorce was when his eldest daughter Fifi read about it online and rang her dad to let him know it was all over the net.
"Bob and the family had absolutely no idea she was getting divorced. They were aware that there were some issues between her and Max, but didn’t have a clue it had got so bad.
"Peaches was in enough trouble when she decided to get married out of the blue."
