Friday the 13th is going to be a tough day for troubled R&B star CHRIS BROWN - angry RIHANNA fans are staging a protest in New York, where the R&B star’s posters will be ripped up and CDs shredded.
Thousands of Rihanna devotees are expected to take part in the pre-St. Valentine’s Day protest, arranged by radio station WBLI and the wounded singer’s fan club officials.
The supporters are upset with Brown after he reportedly lashed out at his girlfriend during an early-morning row on Sunday (08Feb09).
The singer allegedly left Rihanna with cuts and bruises to her face, which prompted the Umbrella hitmaker to seek medical attention and then pull out of a scheduled performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Brown, who has been charged with making criminal threats, also cancelled his appearance at the Grammys.
WBLI operations manager Nancy Cambino hopes to turn the Chris Brown protest into a ‘Shred Your Ex’ party, urging anyone caught up in the wrong relationship to dump their partner on the eve of St. Valentine’s Day.
She tells WENN, "Valentine’s Day should stand for love, so we find it fitting to make the Friday the 13th a day for revenge for those who were unlucky in love. Whether you’re a Rihanna fan or not, we can all empathise with being with someone who caused love to go wrong." The New York protest will begin on Friday morning outside the radio station’s studios in West Babylon, New York.

LILY ALLEN stunned fans at an online album launch party in New York on Tuesday (10Feb09), yelling profanities from the stage and talking candidly about oral sex.
The bawdy Brit was promoting her new release, It’s Not Me, It’s You, at the Bowery Ballroom as part of MySpace.com’s Secret Show series.
Sipping white wine, the Smile singer kicked off the gig by poking fun at the Bowery crowd, stating, "You’ve been illegally downloading, you f**kers!" before launching into her new anti-George W. Bush anthem F**k You and urging fans to sing along with the chorus: "F**k you, f**k you very, very much." Allen also performed another new tune, Not Fair, which pokes fun at a former boyfriend who couldn’t satisfy her after she performed oral sex on him.
She also took time to blast DJ Mark Ronson, who produced Allen’s debut album, for not being part of the MySpace show.
She told the crowd, "Mark was supposed to f**king be here tonight, but he’s recording with some band in Brooklyn. He’s too busy for me these days."

KIEFER SUTHERLAND is keen to find a role in his hit show 24 for ROBIN WILLIAMS after finding the funnyman is a big fan of the drama.
Williams recently begged for a part in 24 during a chat with America’s TV Guide magazine, stating, "I would play a technical adviser. Anything," and Sutherland is thrilled the comic is watching.
He says, "It would be an honour (to have him on the show). You’re talking about an Academy Award-winning actor with no lack of energy, which is what we require.
"Robin could be an innocent computer analyst who stumbles onto something cryptic… and becomes a target. (My character) Jack Bauer, the government and the bad guys are all looking for this guy, who is scared to death and running for his life." KATE WINSLET loves dressing up for awards shows, because she was so chubby as a child she had to wear altered hand-me-downs.
The actress is this year’s Hollywood golden girl; she has already picked up Golden Globes, Screen Actor’s Guild and BAFTA awards for her roles in The Reader and Revolutionary Road, and she is a hot favourite to pick up her first Best Actress Oscar at the Academy Awards next week (22Feb09).
But, aside from the accolades, Winslet admits she’s just happy she gets the chance to wear nice gowns on the red carpets.
It all makes a change from the hideous outfits she had to wear as a child, growing up in Reading, England.
She explains, "My mother would get me to wear a pink puffball hand-me-down skirt that had to be let out because I was considerably stockier than my sister. So I never felt great dressing up. Now I just want to enjoy it."

Mad Men star Moss announced her engagement to Armisen on 22 January (09), just three months after the couple met during an episode of the funnyman’s show Saturday Night Live.
Moss’ Mad Men co-star John Slattery was among those on the New York set, and claims he witnessed the moment they fell for each other.

Troubled British hard man VINNIE JONES is back at work after his December (08) bar brawl in South Dakota landed him in legal trouble - he’ll play an assassin in the sequel to SMOKIN’ ACES.
The former soccer star was charged with three counts of assault following the bloody fight in a Sioux Falls bar, which left him with 48 stitches in his face. Jones is due in court in Minnehaha County, South Dakota on 23 February (09).

Troubled R&B star CHRIS BROWN’s sister has come to her sibling’s defence, insisting the singer is a "good boy".
Lytrell Bundy agreed to appear on U.S. news show Extra to speak out about the negative press her brother is getting following his Sunday morning (08Feb09) fight with girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown was charged with making criminal threats following the fracas, which left Rihanna reportedly needing medical attention for head wounds.
Bundy admits she was shocked when she first heard the news of her brother’s arrest, stating, "He’s always been a good boy. Never violent." She also told Extra that Brown is "doing good" and "coping" as the weekend fight continues to make headline news around the world.
On Tuesday (10Feb09), Brown’s ex-stepfather, Donnelle Hawkins, confessed he wasn’t surprised to hear the news, adding, "He (Brown) has to take responsibility for his own actions."

Fallen rap stars MC HAMMER and VANILLA ICE are to team up for a concert in Utah.
The 90s stars will perform a one-night-only joint show, called Hammer Pants and Ice, at the McKay Events Center in Orem on 27 February (09).

EMINEM’s comeback single has broken download records in America to soar to the top of the singles chart.
The rapper’s Bottle will officially take the number one spot on Thursday (12Feb09) after jumping up the countdown from last week’s (05Feb09) number 78.
The track has scored 418,000 download sales in a week, beating out the previous record of 335,000 set last year (08) by T.I. and Rihanna’s Live Your Life.
Eminem last hit the top spot on the U.S. charts with Lose Yourself, which spent 12 weeks at number one in 2002.
Bottle also features Eminem’s longtime collaborators 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.

MANDY MOORE and rocker RYAN ADAMS have stunned the music world by getting engaged.
Few people knew the stars were dating again after their 2008 romance fell apart, and Moore started dating ex-boyfriend Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein as he recovered from a plane crash in South Carolina in September (08).
Moore and Goldstein split in December (08) and the actress/singer reunited with Adams, according to reports.
The Saved star, who at 24 is 10 years younger than singer/songwriter Adams, was recently spotted wearing what looked like an engagement ring on her wedding finger and a friend tells Life & Style magazine, "She is so excited… It’s been a whirlwind. MICHAEL DOUGLAS’ son CAMERON has been evicted from his Los Angeles home for failing to pay his rent.
The 30-year-old, who has a reported $80 million (£54.4 million) trust fund at his disposal, began renting the $4,200 (£2,860) a month home in Laurel Canyon with a friend in March (08).
According to America’s Star magazine, the pair stopped payments soon after moving in, prompting landlord Sky Reiss to contact his tenant’s famous father through his accountant.
Reiss began eviction proceedings in October (08) after the elder Douglas paid just "a couple of months" rent.
Star’s report claims authorities then visited the property with an eviction notice on 3 February (09), prompting Cameron and his roommate to flee, leaving behind a mess that included drug paraphernalia.
Reiss has changed the locks and is giving the men until 17 February (09) to collect their belongings.
He says, "It’s been a nightmare for me… he (Douglas) stopped paying his $4,200 rent on time after two months and the payments started getting later and later.
"It was a disgusting mess. There were bloody rags in the trash and a drug-testing kit. There was a small mirror with white powder still on it and a glass for mixing chemicals. The neighbours were always complaining to me about people coming and going from the house at all hours." Cameron, who has reportedly been in and out of rehab, was arrested in 2007 on cocaine possession charges.

Singer NATALIE COLE is standing by her previous criticisms of AMY WINEHOUSE - urging the troubled star not to make the same mistakes she did.
Cole sparked outrage last year (08) by announcing that the Back To Black hitmaker didn’t "deserve" to take home a clutch of Grammy Awards when she was caught up in the throes of drug addiction.
Winehouse landed five gongs at the 2008 ceremony and performed via satellite link-up from London, where she was fresh out of a rehab clinic.
The star subsequently underwent several more stints in hospital in a bid to kick her addictions and is currently re-cooperating with an extended holiday in the Caribbean.
Cole - who endured a long-running battle with heroine addiction - is now suffering from the debilitating Hepatitis C virus. And she hopes Winehouse will look at her case and stop experimenting with drugs for good.
She tells Fox News, "I got into a bit of hot water for what I said about Amy Winehouse and I still say it again. I’m an ex-drug addict and I don’t take that kind of stuff lightly.
"It stayed in my body for 25 years and it could still happen to this young woman or other addicts who are fooling around with drugs, especially needles. I would hope that what happened to me does not happen to her."

Director GUS VAN SANT was desperate to cast SEAN PENN in Oscar-nominated film MILK - because the actor’s controversial political stances made him ideal for the lead role.
Penn has famously supported controversial politicians including Cuban leader Raul Castro and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
