Actress ELIZA DUSHKU has laughed off rumours she’s got a new man in her life - insisting she’s just "good friends" with THE HILLS’ BRENT BOLTHOUSE.
The former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star was reported to be dating Los Angeles party promoter and DJ Brenthouse after splitting from Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane late last year (08).
But she is adamant there’s nothing romantic going on with Bolthouse - because she’s too busy working on new TV show Dollhouse to worry about her love life.
She tells the New York Daily News, "I’ve known Brent for 10 years and he’s an awesome dude and he’s a good friend. If you believe everything you read, then, wow, I get around. But the truth is I’m single and mingling. Well, I work 16 hours a day - producing has added a whole other layer of intensity - so it’s more single and less mingling."

Former child star JODIE SWEETIN has taken a step forward in the custody battle with her estranged husband over their baby daughter, after passing a court-ordered drug test.
Sweetin launched a bid for joint custody of her 10-month-old daughter Zoie with estranged husband Cody Herpin late last year (08) - three months after submitting a request for legal separation.
Herpin responded to the custody filings in December (08) with a counter bid for sole custody.
He accused the ex-Full House star - a former methamphetamine and alcohol addict - of suffering a relapse in her recovery last month (Jan09); allegations Sweetin denied.
An Orange County, California court ordered both parties to submit to a drug test.
Following a custody hearing on Monday (09Feb09), Sweetin’s spokesperson told People.com, "Her test is good, it’s clear." Herpin, who also tested clear of drugs, currently shares joint custody with Sweetin, who is allowed supervised visits with the child.

Hip-hop icon NAS is teaming up with reggae star DAMIAN ‘JUNIOR GONG’ MARLEY to release a new album.
The I Can hitmaker reveals he has been busy in the studio with Bob Marley’s son to produce a disc paying tribute to their cultural roots.
He tells MTV.com, "Right now, I’ll tell you first, I’m working on an album with Damian Marley, and we tryin’ to build some schools in Africa with this one, and trying to build empowerment.
"We’re tryin’ to show love and stuff with this album. So, the record’s… all about really the ‘hood and Africa also as well. That’s coming out real soon." The project has yet to get a release date, but Nas is aiming for this spring (09), adding: "(It’s) too early to tell the title or anything like that."

BLINK-182 star TRAVIS BARKER is still suffering nerve damage from the plane crash he survived last September (08).
The drummer and bandmate Adam ‘DJ AM’ Goldstein were the only survivors when the Lear jet they were travelling on from South Carolina to Los Angeles crashed on take-off.
Both were treated for second and third-degree burns in the weeks following the tragedy - and Barker admits he’s still not 100 per cent healthy.
The drummer’s arm was in a sling as he attended the Grammy Awards on Sunday (08Feb09) and he explains he’s still in pain.
He tells U.S. news show Extra, "I kind of rushed out of the hospital and my hand was numb, but I didn�t tell anybody. I just wanted to get out. The numbness didn�t go away. It was like in four or five of my fingers.
"I really wanted to fix it as soon as possible. I had bad nerve damage, so I just got surgery. I have eight to 10 weeks to recover."

Rapper FOXY BROWN is demanding 50 CENT keep her name out of his war of words with RICK ROSS - or be "handled Brooklyn style".
The female MC was recently rumoured to have enjoyed a brief fling with Ross - and the romance hadn’t escaped 50 Cent’s attention, with the In Da Club star mentioning the dalliance in his track Officer Ricky (Try Me).
50 and Ross have been locked in a lyrical battle in recent weeks, and now Brown’s name has been dragged into the mess.
On Officer Ricky (Try Me), 50 refers to Ross’ past as a correctional officer, saying, "The cop f**ked a fox".
But Brown is furious with the association and has issued an ultimatum to the superstar.
A representative for Brown tells AllHipHop.com, "Foxy is giving that n**ga (a) 24-hour (period) to retract that statement or she’s going to handle (him) Brooklyn style."

Burlesque beauty DITA VON TEESE quit sex for a year following her divorce from MARILYN MANSON - in order to fully recover from her failed marriage.
The raven-haired siren split from the shock rocker in 2006 after just two years together, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the break-up.
Manson’s close relationship with young actress Evan Rachel Wood, who he began dating openly in 2007, was alleged to have played a part in the marriage break-down - and Von Teese admits she dealt with her problems by practising sexual abstinence.
She says, "After the divorce I was going through complete heartbreak. It changes you, I spent the first year not having sex at all, which was strange as I still continued to convey sex in my work.
"After a split a lot of men put on a band-aid by getting another woman. I wanted to deal with the break-up and learn from it and I’ve done that now. I wanted to come through it and be able to love again as if my heart had never been broken." And the exotic icon insists she has regained her appetite for sex - but won’t be falling for a carbon copy of her former husband.
She adds, "The only thing is, at the moment I’m definitely not looking at musicians. I’m attracted to normal, sweet-looking guys in sweaters. I’m finished with the leather trousers and eyeliner types. You can have a roller-coaster ride with a guy in a sweater."

Kids clothes designed by pop star GWEN STEFANI have been pulled from store shelves in the U.S. after they were ruled to be a choking hazard.
The $75 (£50) Harajuku Lovers hooded jackets were withdrawn voluntarily by distributors in California over fears drawstrings could strangle the children wearing them. No injuries have been reported.
The jackets are just one of a number of kids and adults clothes Stefani has designed through her Harajuku Lovers and L.A.M.B. lines.

AL GREEN had to cut his bath time short to make a last-minute performance at the Grammys - after JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE called on him to fill in for an absent CHRIS BROWN while he was still soaking in the tub.
Brown, who was caught up in a late-night domestic dispute in Los Angeles early on Sunday (08Feb09), caused chaos at the ceremony when he and girlfriend Rihanna pulled out of their performances just hours before the big show started.
Timberlake rushed to help producers fill airtime, calling upon his hometown idol, Green, who obliged to perform with the pop star and R&B group Boyz II Men.
Reports on America’s the Today Show on Monday (09Feb09) say: "Justin Timberlake… at noon was rehearsing. (Producers) went down to his dressing room and said, ‘Justin, here’s the thing, Chris Brown’s not going to be here. We’ve got an idea. You’re from Memphis, Al Green’s from Memphis. Can you perform with Al Green?’ "Justin… picked up his phone, called Al Green (but) Al was in the tub… he said no problem. They sent a golf cart for him because he was in traffic (but) they got him there in time."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father MICHAEL has been accused of failing to pay a website developer who hosted his controversial blog.
The Mean Girl star’s dad set up the site to vent his frustration over his daughter’s relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson and to set the record straight about his relationships with his children.
Earlier this month (Feb09), Lohan posted his final message on the blog - and now website developer Jonathan Jaxson is completely removing the site from the web, accusing Lohan Sr. of failing to keep up with an agreed payment plan.
In a message posted on the site, Jaxson writes, "Michael Lohan was in a three month contract with me and refused to pay his past two months to maintain his blog and keep his name in the media. Enough reasoning for shutting down this site, which will happen on Monday at 12 PM noon EST. Thank You -Webmaster (Jonathan Jaxson)."

Actress/TV presenter ROSIE O’DONNELL wants to save Broadway from slumping ticket sales - by getting kids hooked on theatre.
A number of shows have fallen victim to the current recession, with Grease, Gypsy and Hairspray all closing in 2009.
Theatre buff O’Donnell, 46, is determined to stop the downturn and has formed The Kidsâ�� Advisory Board, a programme for children aged six to 18, to help her brainstorm ways to fill Broadway seats.
She says, �If you get kids to a Broadway show before they hit puberty, you�ve got them for life. Afterwards, they�re a little jaded.
�We had an amazing lunch and they gave me great ideas about how to improve the theatre-going experience for children. One of the ideas I thought was funny was to get the choreographer of each musical at each intermission to teach the kids in the audience the dances from the show.�

Teen actress DAKOTA FANNING has vowed not to let her movie career stop her from pursuing a university education - she’s preparing to apply to colleges three years before she’s eligible.
The 14-year-old star is years from gaining a university degree, but is eager to start her studies after giving up homeschooling for a more traditional education at a California private school, where she also takes up cheerleading.
She says, "I definitely want to go to college. I’ve always wanted to, so I definitely think that’s something I will do. (My parents) definitely support me in that and I’m lucky they supported me in going to a regular high school too, because I was home schooled before." But Fanning admits she’s grateful for her early academic career, studying on movie sets and in between acting jobs.
She adds, "I was home schooled from second grade to eighth grade and I thought it was great because it helped me to do what I love to do. It worked out really well, but I think for ninth grade you want the high school experience."

Alaska governor SARAH PALIN has inspired two of Hollywood’s top screenwriters to fight for the right to make a movie about her life.
Republican Palin’s role in the 2008 White House race divided America, with many questioning her credentials, her intelligence and her penchant for moose-hunting.
But Tinseltown’s top scribes believe she is great movie material.
Milk writer Dustin Lance Black tells Variety, "I’m always down for politics as humour. I’m also interested in great characters." The Visitor writer Todd McCarty, meanwhile, wants to focus any movie he makes on the teenager who impregnated Palin’s 17-year-old daughter Bristol.
He says, "This young man gets his girlfriend pregnant and ends up on the Republican platform at the National Convention. There’s a dark comedy there somewhere. He was like a deer in the headlights."

Actor VAL KILMER is "seriously considering" running for Governor of his homestate of New Mexico next year (10).
The current governor, Democrat Bill Richardson, has to stand down in 2010 after serving two terms in office - and he is touting Kilmer as a potential replacement.
The 48-year-old star recently described the idea of him running for political office as "bizarre" - but now confesses he is seriously tempted to follow in the footsteps of action star-turned-California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Kilmer tells the Associated Press, "I’m looking for ways to be contributive (sic). And if that ends up being where I can make a substantial contribution, then I’ll run." And the former Batman Forever star is convinced he’d win: "If I run, I’m going to be the next governor."

American jazz singer BLOSSOM DEARIE has died, aged 82.
Dearie, a singer, pianist and songwriter, died of natural causes in her sleep on Saturday (07Feb09) at her Manhattan, New York apartment, her manager and representative Donald Schaffer has confirmed.
She was a fixture during her career in cabarets in London and New York, where she moved in the mid-1940s, and has been a featured singer on film soundtracks, including Kissing Jessica Stein, My Life Without Me, The Squid and the Whale and The Adventures of Felix.
Dearie has also recorded with various musicians, including Bob Dorough and Lyle Lovett.
Her first six albums, released with Paris’ Verve Records from 1956 to 1960 after moving to the city, are today remembered as cult classics.
After recording more albums in London, Dearie returned to the U.S. and established her own label, Daffodil Records, in 1974. She released her last album Blossom’s Planet with the company in 2000.
Dearie is survived by an older brother, Barney, a nephew and a niece.

Pop star KATY PERRY has sought revenge against her family - after they sent an American broadcaster a collection of embarrassing childhood snaps of her.
The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker’s parents were asked to provide a set of photos to be shown on America’s CBS network, and they responded with the most cringe-worthy pictures they could find.
Now Perry has hit back by posting an unflattering snap of her flame-haired sister Angela on her blog.
The star writes, "HAHAHA. My parents approved the most redick (ridiculous) family fotos (sic) and sent them into CBS without thinking about it or asking what I thought about it. You can imagine as I am sitting there watching the tv, hands over faceâ�¦ mortified. Thank you mom and dadâ�¦ at the old age of 24 you continue to succeed in making my face red. I would have sent in more of my pageant photos of courseâ�¦ butâ�¦ what fun would that be? "(So) I wanna team all my fans with a photo of my HOT GINGE sister, Angela. Wow. look at that tender mess. Rapper NAS has confirmed he is expecting a baby with his R&B singer wife KELIS.
Reports surfaced last month (Jan09) alleging the Milkshake hitmaker was pregnant with her first child, and now Nas - who has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship - is sharing his delight at the news.
He tells MTV.com, "Yeah, man, I find out what it’s gonna be (the sex of the baby) next week, so I’m happy.

Hip-hop group BLACK EYED PEAS have launched a youth academy to give underprivileged children in California the chance to get involved in film and music programmes.
Officials from the Where Is The Love? hitmakers’ charitable Peapod Foundation formed the initiative with the Adobe Foundation and the Entertainment Industry Foundation, allowing kids to interact with their community through music, dance, video and art.
In a statement, frontman will.i.am says, "As a group, we’ve made a commitment to help give teens the artistic tools and opportunities to help them realise their fullest potential.
"Thanks to the incredible generosity of Adobe Youth Voices, we are able to expand our vision and give even more kids a chance to be productive, enterprising adults." The project was launched at a benefit gig, featuring the Black Eyed Peas, on 5 February (09).

British heartthrob ROBERT PATTINSON was once so lonely he took an obsessed female fan out for dinner.
The Twilight hunk was filming his forthcoming movie Little Ashes in Europe when he encountered an over-zealous admirer who was permanently waiting outside his home.
And when the Brit actor found himself with a less-than-hectic schedule, he decided to make the fan’s evening by treating her to a night out.
He tells U.K. newspaper the Daily Express, "I had a stalker while filming a movie in Spain last year. She stood outside my apartment every day for weeks - all day, every day.
"I was so bored and lonely that I went out and had dinner with (her)." But he had a crafty way of making the fan back off.
Pattinson adds, "I just complained about everything in my life and she never came back."
