BRITNEY SPEARS’ ex-husband KEVIN FEDERLINE is stepping up his bid to forge a successful rap career - he’s in talks with hip-hop heavyweights BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY to help him break into the industry.
The dancer-turned-rapper released his debut album Playing with Fire in 2006, but the disc was savaged by critics and only debuted at number 151 on the U.S. album charts before dropping out altogether.
But Federline is getting another shot at rap stardom - thanks to Tha Crossroads hitmaker Krayzie Bone.
The MC tells website TMZ.com, "We will listen to his music and if it’s jumpin’ off… if we can do business… Bone is all about doin’ business." And Krayzie Bone is adamant he can give Federline the street credibility he needs to make it in the business - despite admitting he’s never heard any of Federline’s earlier work.
He adds, "We feel like we can work with anybody and have a platinum hit …our fan base are usually the ones who respect a man who has gone through a lot of s**t."

Actress ISLA FISHER was once left red-faced after she was introduced by a Hollywood party hostess as her fiance SACHA BARON COHEN’s "daughter".
The Wedding Crashers star, 33, has been dating her comedian beau, 37, for several years and the couple share 16-month-old tot Olive together.
But Fisher recalls one cringe-worthy incident when her youthful looks belied her real age - and led the socialite hostess to believe she was just a child.
She says, "When we first came to Hollywood we went to one of these Oscar parties held in this prestigious lady’s home and we showed up and she opened the door and said to me, ‘Come with me, hello and welcome.’ "I was very excited, I thought I was gonna get to meet a big celebrity. She let me into this room and there were these six 15 year old girls and she goes, ‘Everybody, play nicely with Sacha Baron Cohen’s daughter!’ It was particularly awkward!"

Spanish Oscar winner JAVIER BARDEM has been touted to play PANCHO VILLA in a big screen biopic of the Mexican revolutionary.
Serbian director Emir Kusturica is busy writing a screenplay for the project, with the working title Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman with Six Fingers - based on James Carlos Blake’s novel The Friends of Pancho Villa.
Shooting is scheduled to begin in Mexico in late 2009/early 2010 - and Kusturica is keen to cast Bardem in the lead role.
He tells Daily Variety, "I hope we are going to have a chance to talk with him (Bardem) soon, but his involvement is not confirmed yet."

Hollywood stars JENNIFER ANISTON and JENNIFER LOPEZ are set to star as women who turn to science to help them have babies, in two new comedy movies.
Childless Aniston will play a woman who is secretly inseminated with the sperm of her best friend - played by Jason Bateman - in Basted, which will begin shooting in the spring (09).
Lopez, meanwhile, will star in Plan B, about a single woman go undergoes fertility treatment to conceive, only to meet the man of her dreams the same day she discovers she is pregnant.

MICHAEL J. FOX’s battle with Parkinson’s Disease forced him to become a better husband and dad, he reportedly reveals in a new memoir.
The actor was diagnosed with the debilitating condition back in 1991, when he was just 29-years-old.
His condition has steadily deteriorated and forced him to semi-retire from acting in 2000.
But he has drawn positives from being able to spend more time with his wife Tracy and their four kids, according to publishing sources who have caught a sneak preview of Fox’s forthcoming autobiography, Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist.
An insider says, "He writes that he found himself in the centre of his family. It was a door he’d never opened because he’d been too consumed with his career. When he looked in the mirror before Parkinson’s, he saw Mike the actor. Now he sees the reflection of a husband and father."

Actor CHRISTIAN BALE has publicly apologised for his foul-mouthed tirade on the set of upcoming movie TERMINATOR SALVATION, insisting his behaviour was "out of order beyond belief".
The Batman Begins star’s outburst last summer (Jul08) was caught on tape and the four-minute long audio, in which he uses the F-word 35 times, leaked onto the internet earlier this week (begs02Feb09).
Bale is heard angrily reprimanding and hurling abuse and expletives at director of photography Shane Hurlbut, who distracted him during a scene by walking onset twice.
The recording earned Bale much criticism - prompting the actor to come forward to express his "regret" at his "inexcusable" behaviour.
In an interview with the Los Angeles-based Kevin & Bean radio show on Friday (06Feb09), Bale says, "I have to tell ya, it’s been a miserable week for me… I know I have a potty mouth, everybody knows that now. The thing that I really wanna stress is that I have no confusion whatsoever, I was out of order beyond belief. I was way out of order. I acted like a punk, I regret that, and there is nobody that has heard that tape that it’s hit harder than me. So I make no excuses for it, it was inexcusable and I hope that is absolutely clear…" Bale blames himself for getting too engrossed in his character and losing control of his temper - although he is adamant the bust-up "never came close to being physical".
He adds, "So many people have opinions on this, but none of them were there. Now, we’re making Terminator… Sarah Connor is in an insane asylum. I play John Connor, Sarah Connor’s son. Now, on the day that all of this happened, the scene that we were doing, I was trying to show a little of that in the blood craziness. You know what? It went very wrong and for reasons that myself, and Shane… and every crewmember who was in that hanger at Kirkland Air Space (in Washington) that day, they know the reasons, I got annoyed and then what happened, I made it ugly, and that was awful of me. I took it way too far and completely mixed up fact and fiction, I’m half John Connor, half Christian Bale and we’ve heard what happened." But Bale insists he and Hurlburt have not let the incident affect their professional relationship: "I’ve not only talked with him, we resolved this completely that very day. We kept working for a number of hours. Listen, when I’m saying I’m not coming back on that set if he’s still there, you know what? It’s hot air. I don’t believe that. I had no intention of getting anybody fired. I absolutely believed in Shane’s capability, he’s done a wonderful job on that movie. Everything is resolved between us, there is no problem whatsoever. I’ve seen a cut of the movie and he has done a wonderful professional job, and I don’t want anyone to have a misunderstanding about that."

BLACK EYED PEAS star TABOO is to become a father - his wife is expecting the couple’s first child.
Taboo, real name Jamie Gomez, wed fashion publicist Jaymie Dizon last July (08), and now the loved-up pair is starting a family together.
He tells UsMagazine.com, "We’re very excited." The baby, due in the summer (09), will be the star’s second - he also has a teenage son named Joshua from a previous relationship.

Former LIMP BIZKIT rocker WES BORLAND has ruled out rejoining his reuniting bandmates, because he’s having too much fun with his new group.
The guitarist’s two turbulent stints in the band ended in 2004.
Borland’s departure sparked a long hiatus for the Rollin’ rockers, which came to an end late in 2008 when frontman Fred Durst revealed they have reunited to start recording a new album.
Borland - currently performing with new group Black Light Burns - has resisted talk of reuniting with his old bandmates.
And in a new interview with MLive.com, he insists he prefers the freedom he gets with his current band - and takes a swipe at Durst’s songwriting skills.
Borland says, "I have no plans on working with Limp again. It’s better for me, for sure. I’m having a great time doing (Black Light Burns). I can write a song and know what it’s about and tailor the music about the intensity of the vocals. It all makes sense together, instead of random lyrics on top of music that sounds cool. It makes more sense."

GUNS N’ ROSES frontman AXL ROSE has dashed fans’ hopes of a possible truce with former bandmate SLASH - insisting "one of the two of us would dieâ�� before a reunion could ever take place.
The guitarist quit the band in 1993 following a series of rows with Rose. He went on to form his own successful band, Velvet Revolver.
The relationship between the warring musicians has failed to improve in the 16 years since Slash quit the group.
And Rose still vehemently opposes a reunion with his former colleague.
He says, "Give me a f**king break. What’s clear is that one of the two of us will die before a reunion and however sad, ugly or unfortunate anyone views it, it is how it is.
�Those decisions were made a long time ago and reiterated year after year by one man. There are acts that, once committed between individuals, they are what they are. To add insult to injury almost day after day, lapsing into year after year, for more than a decade, is a nightmare. Anyone putting his own personal entertainment above everything else is sickening." But Rose concedes that he could envisage working with other former members of the group - Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan.
He adds, "I could see doing a song or so on the side with Izzy or having him out (on tour) again. I’m not so comfortable with doing anything having more than one of the alumni. Maybe something with Duff, but that’s it."

Veteran actress JANE FONDA has lashed out at the recent Wall Street scandal which saw many of her friends lose their life savings.
Former NASDAQ chairman Bernard Madoff was arrested on 8 December (08) on charges of securities fraud, after allegedly ciphering billions of dollars from his clients in a scam which collapsed when people began asking for their money back, due to the global financial crisis.
A string of celebrities have admitted to being caught up in the scam, including Kevin Bacon, Zsa Zsa Gabor and most recently 50 Cent’s manager Chris Lighty.
And now Fonda has launched a scathing attack on the man allegedly behind the fraud, accusing him of destroying many people’s livelihoods.
She writes on her official blog, "I was thinking today how grateful I am just to be working. So many aren�t. I ache when I read about the layoffs. I�ve lost a lot but it�s nothing compared to friends of mine who have lost everything they had because every penny they saved over their entire lifetimes was invested in one of Madoff�s schemes.
"I read a few days ago that Madoff was complaining that he felt like a prisoner in his own penthouse! I want to shake him till his teeth fall out." Fonda is currently starring in a Broadway production of 33 Variations.

SIR MICK JAGGER’s daughter JADE has reportedly married her longterm boyfriend in a secret ceremony.
The 37-year-old jewellery designer was rumoured to have become engaged to DJ Dan Williams last year (08) after five years of dating.
And now the couple is said to have walked down the aisle, celebrating the nuptials in private, according to London newspaper The Evening Standard.
The socialite is believed to have announced the news to pals with an update on social networking site Facebook, changing her relationship status from ‘In a relationship’ to ‘Married to Dan Williams’.
A source tells the publication, "The couple have been very happy together for years. They didn’t want to rush things and did it when the time was right for them. It just took a few people by surprise when it appeared on Facebook.
"They clearly make a great couple. Everyone is so pleased." A representative for Jagger has admitted knowing nothing about the alleged marriage.
Jagger has two daughters, Assisi Lola Jackson, 15, and Amba, 12, from a previous relationship.

Rapper THE GAME has waded into the row between 50 CENT and RICK ROSS - giving his support to the IN DA CLUB star, his former arch enemy.
The Dreams hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, was kicked out of 50 Cent’s G-Unit crew in 2005.
A bitter rivalry ensued, but now The Game has confessed he’s secretly rooting for his ex-boss as he publicly trades blows with Ross - even recruiting the Hustlin’ star’s ex-girlfriend and mother of his child to take shots.

Actress EMILY BLUNT risked the wrath of producers of THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA by smuggling doughnuts onto the set of the movie - because she was meant to be on a strict diet for her role.
The 25-year-old portrayed a stick-thin fashion assistant in the 2006 hit, meaning Blunt had to forgo all sweet treats to slim down.
But she found herself craving comfort food - and ended up succumbing to sugary treats, much to the film bosses’ annoyance.
Blunt tells Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine, "I understand why I was asked to be like that for that role. My character was surviving on cubes of cheese at one point in the movie.
"But you need some kind of comfort when you’re on a film set all day, and mine’s usually food. I was being watched like a hawk, but by the end I’d be sneaking in doughnuts just to annoy the producers."

JESSICA SIMPSON shocked fans at a concert in Michigan on Thursday (05Feb09) night with a series of onstage blunders - with the star eventually walking off in tears.
The singer was opening for Rascal Flatts at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but the 38-minute show was riddled with embarrassing errors which eventually forced her to apologise to the audience.
Simpson is said to have struggled with her in-ear audio monitors throughout the performance and seemed to lose her place in several songs, forgetting the lyrics to her recent single Come on Over.
The star also stopped during the intro to her Pray Out Loud track, asking her band start over, before mouthing the word "sorry" to the crowd, telling the 8,000-strong audience, "My voice is weak tonight." While introducing her closing song, Do You Know, Simpson admitted wishing she could "walk off the stage" and at the end of the gig, she thanked her band for "having her back", before appearing to walk off in tears.
One concert-goer tells the Grand Rapids Press, "I felt bad for her tonight. It was uncomfortable to watch." Simpson previously came under fire for her onstage antics following a performance at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2006, when she performed Nine to Five, a tribute to Dolly Parton, but stopped half way through the song, running off stage in tears.
Simpson put her blunder down to nerves and subsequently admitted she nearly quit her music career following the incident.

Actress REBECCA HALL was delighted to work with legendary filmmaker WOODY ALLEN - because stories of his eccentric behaviour are "all nonsense".
The British star was wary of filming Allen’s new movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona after hearing tales of his bizarre antics onset.
And her fears were apparently confirmed when she was told she would be assigned a minder to guard her script during the shoot - but quickly learned that the Annie Hall director is often the victim of his own legend.
She tells Britain’s GQ magazine, "Woody’s mythology as something of an eccentric on set precedes him. You have to just ignore all the crazy stories, things like: don’t look him directly in the eye; don’t expect him to talk to you ever.
"I was told that the script, or at least my part of it, would arrive with a bodyguard and lawyer, both of whom would have to remain with it at all times. All nonsense, of course. It arrived by post in a brown envelope - complete - with a handwritten note saying simply, ‘Read this, I think you’ll make a great Vicky. Tell me what you think. Best wishes, Woody.’"

SEX AND THE CITY writer/director MICHAEL PATRICK KING has delighted millions of fans worldwide by confirming a movie sequel to the 2008 hit is in the works.
Reports surfaced earlier this week (05Feb09) claiming the four leading ladies - Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis - had officially signed on to make a follow up to the big-screen adaptation last year (08) following months of speculation.
And now King has expressed his delight at reteaming with the stars once again - but he’s refusing to reveal any ideas he has for the new movie script.

Screen Actors Guild (SAG) president ALAN ROSENBERG has lost his court bid to temporarily delay the resumption of contract talks between the union and Hollywood studio bosses.
The SAG leader and three other boardmembers filed suit in Los Angeles Count Superior Court earlier this week (begs02Feb09) to have ousted Doug Allen - the union’s chief negotiator in the stalled discussions - reinstated as national executive director of the union.
Allen was fired at the end of January (09) after he was blamed for the lack of progress in contract discussions with movie executives.
Talks regarding a film and prime-time TV contract were due to resume on Tuesday (03Feb09), but Rosenberg and his fellow plaintiffs wanted to halt the meetings until they could rehire Allen.
However, Judge James Chalfant denied their request on Thursday (05Feb09), claiming they were unlikely to succeed in their bid.
The threat of a strike by the 120,000 SAG cardholders has been looming over Hollywood since their old labour pact expired in June 2008 after negotiations collapsed.
