Actress GINNIFER GOODWIN has issued a warning to potential suitors - don’t try to seduce her by sending dirty text messages.
The single star, 30, prefers more traditional dating techniques and is often disappointed when a new man she’s seeing doesn’t pick up the phone to call.
She says, "Our communication skills are plummeting. People don’t know how to relate. You can have whole relationships via flirt text (and) never make verbal contact." And the actress is even more baffled by the growing trend of steamy texts between couples, because the messages can easily be misconstrued.
She adds, "You know about textual harassment? That’s a new phenomenon. It’s like text sex, but you only have a few lines to get across to your partner what exactly it is (you want) to get across. It’s explicit. It’s dirty. You also don’t know what that person is doing with their phone, to whom they’re showing their phone, then you’re like a text slut. It’s dangerous. I’m not a fan."

Actress EMILY BLUNT has slammed the paparazzi, after one snapper launched a foul mouthed attack on the star in front of her mother.
The 25-year-old treated her mum to a red carpet walk at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada.
But Blunt was shocked when one photographer turned on her in a vulgar rant, and the experience has left the actress wary of paparazzi who are out to get her picture.
She tells Britain’s Harper’s Bazaar magazine, "They can become like vultures. My mother came to The Devil Wears Prada premiere with me, and this photographer yelled ‘Go f**k yourself’ at me, and I heard my mum gasp. It was just appalling."

Hollywood film maker BRIAN GRAZER is creating a new TV comedy show about his larger than life father.
The show, titled The Chairman of Chatsworth, is based on Grazer Sr., who his son describes as a lawyer with a questionable moral compass.
It will be produced by Grazer’s Imagine Television in collaboration with network Fox.
Grazer, an Oscar winner for movie A Beautiful Mind, tells Daily Variety, "My dad is so much bigger than life. He’s a big personality, extremely popular but flawed. He’s a big character with a f**ked-up relationship with the truth."

The Oscar-winning actor/songwriters who fell in love for real on the set of Irish independent movie ONCE have split.
Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova played a busker and an immigrant who bond over their love of music in the 2006 movie.
The pair became a couple in real life, and melted hearts at last year’s (08) Academy Awards when they collected the Best Original Song award for their duet Falling Softly, taken from the movie’s soundtrack.
But their relationship has come to an end, even though they are still performing together.
Hansard explains, "I think we both concluded that that wasn’t what we really wanted. We’re just really good friends."

Director DANNY BOYLE is "sad" to see his Oscar-nominated movie SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE take a battering in the press - accusing the media of putting a negative spin on his filmmaking efforts.
The new picture, which is set in Mumbai, India, has been at the centre of controversy since movie bosses were accused of underpaying their Indian child stars - claims which have been vigorously denied by studio executives and Boyle himself.
The film came under fire again recently, with campaigners in India slamming the movie’s controversial title - claiming the use of the word ‘dog’ was insulting to those living in slums.
And Boyle is outraged that his ‘feelgood’ film has attracted such criticism - insisting most of the stories surrounding the picture have been misconstrued.
He says, "I am proud of the way we have dealt with everybody. It’s sad that’s it’s been misreported by some people." Slumdog Millionaire, which tells the story of a boy who grows up in poverty and goes on to win a gameshow, will compete for the coveted Best Picture Oscar at the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on 22 February (09).

Actor ANDY GARCIA shares a special sporting bond with MICKEY ROURKE - THE WRESTLER star taught him to play baseball.
Garcia was an accomplished player growing up in Miami, Florida, and was almost good enough to turn professional - and he insists Rourke deserves all the credit.
The Ocean’s Eleven star explains, "I’ve known Mickey Rourke for 40 years. He was my baseball coach.
"He was only four years older than me, but the high school kids coached the junior school kids, and he was a good baseball player.
"He was so great in that movie (The Wrestler) and when I saw him recently, I told him he looked just like that (his Wrestler look) the first time I met him. He had those hipster jeans that were fashionable at the time, and showed off the crack of his a**."

Former AMERICAN IDOL star CLAY AIKEN will appear as a guest judge on the panel of hit TV series AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL.
The singer will join host Tyra Banks and fellow judges J. Alexander, Nigel Barker and Paulina Porizkova for an episode in the latest series of the popular U.S. reality programme later this month (Feb09).
Aiken will also participate in an acting challenge with the model hopefuls in the upcoming episode, while R&B singer Ciara will make a brief appearance in the same show.

Singer CARNIE WILSON has landed the "perfect" job - as the new host of classic TV series THE NEWLYWED GAME.
The Wilson Phillips singer will host 40 episodes for America’s Game Show Network’s remake of the quiz, where newly-married couples answer questions to find out how well they know each other.
And Wilson believes she is the right choice to be following in the esteemed footsteps of former host Bob Eubanks when the show kicks off in April (09).
She says, "I’ve always loved game shows. My personality and energy is perfect for something like this. First of all, I’m married, and I loved watching The Newlywed Game when I was younger. I watched it all the time. I always hoped the couples would start fighting."

Rapper LIL WAYNE has defended marijuana - confessing he still uses the illegal drug for medicinal purposes.
The rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has been arrested twice in the past three years on drug possession charges, with the most recent arrest coming in January 2008.
But, during a pre-Grammy Awards TV special, the hip-hop superstar revealed he still smokes marijuana to help combat migraines "that make me wanna just kill myself".
He adds, "I will stand up for marijuana any day… I’m a rapper. That’s who I am… and I am a gangster and I do what I want. And I love to smoke. And I smoke." However, the Lollipop hitmaker insists he has weened himself off his other vice - the potentially fatal mix of codeine and promethazine, otherwise known in the hip-hop community as ’syrup’.
He says, "(I) am not addicted to it (anymore)."

The CRAMPS star LUX INTERIOR had a taste of what death would be like 20 years ago, when reports of the rocker’s demise prompted fans to send wreaths to his wife and bandmate, POISON IVY RORSCHACH.
The goth-rocker died in Glendale, California on Wednesday (04Feb09) - 22 years after his alleged death from a heroin overdose.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times newspaper shortly after the 1987 death reports, Interior, real name Erick Lee Purkhiser, said, "At first, I thought it was kind of funny, but then it started to give me a creepy feeling.
‘We sell a lot of records, but somehow just hearing that you’ve sold so many records doesn’t hit you quite as much as when a lot of people call you up and are obviously really broken up because you’ve died."

NICK CARTER is busy repairing his relationship with his parents after years of estrangement.
The Backstreet Boy distanced himself from Robert and Jane after their 2003 divorce and the subsequent bitter custody battle over his singer brother Aaron.
He then turned to drink and drugs, pushing him further away from his family.
But, after sobering up in 2008, Carter is keen to rebuild bridges, and has reached out to his mother first.
He tells People magazine, "It’s a process, and something that’s going to take time to mend. But we’re moving forward." Carter, 29, also pushed 21-year-old Aaron away during his dark times - but the brothers are close again and are now living together.
Aaron describes his sibling as "a completely different person than a year ago. Then he was irritable, unhappy. And now he’s happy, fun to be around".

Former SEX PISTOLS manager MALCOLM MCLAREN is convinced police were wrong to charge punk legend SID VICIOUS with the 1978 murder of his girlfriend NANCY SPUNGEN.
Vicious was arrested in October 1978 after Spungen was found stabbed to death in their room at New York’s famed Chelsea Hotel.
The Sex Pistols bass player was charged with her murder and released on bail - but died from a drug overdose before the case came to court.
And, speaking 30 years to the month since the rocker’s death in February 1979, McLaren insists Vicious was not guilty of the killing.
He believes Spungen was murdered by an unknown drug dealer after she caught someone stealing from the couple’s hotel room.
McLaren tells the Daily Beast website, "Did he kill Nancy?… I can say, definitely not… They said he was capable of anything. But to kill Nancy? I was stunned when I first heard this and I still can’t believe it. Sid was capable of a wide range of self-destructive acts, but I didn’t think that he could kill someone, especially his girlfriend, unless it was a botched double suicide.
"No! I don’t believe Sid killed Nancy. She was his first and only love of his life. As everyone knows, you may argue with your first - he lost his virginity to Nancy - sometimes might want to beat their brains in, leave them, move on, and be with others - but you never get over them. No. Sid was the sucker. The stupid, clumsy fool that night at the Chelsea Hotel.
"He passed out on the bed, having taken fistfuls of Tuinal. All around him, drug dealers, friends of Nancy came and went from room 100. Money was stolen and Sid’s knife was taken from the wall where it was hung and seemingly used by someone defending themselves in a struggle with Nancy.
"Nancy was no pushover. I tried having her kidnapped in London and put on a plane back to New York. Probably, she caught this person stealing money from the bedroom drawer.
"I was positive about Sid’s innocence and acquittal."

MILEY CYRUS has broken her silence over controversial photos posted online in which she appears to poke fun at Asians - insisting she meant no harm by making "goofy faces".
The Hannah Montana star came under fire earlier this week (begs02Feb09) after snapshots of her and a group of male pals pulling their eyes to mock Asians - while one Asian-American sits among them - surfaced on the Internet.
The images enraged the Asian-American community, prompting Cyrus to apologise in a message posted on her official fansite.
However, she is adamant the "fun" snaps have been taken out of context - and is blaming the media for criticising her every move.
She writes, "I’ve also been told there are some people upset about some pictures taken of me with friends making goofy faces! Well, I’m sorry if those people looked at those pics and took them wrong (sic) and out of context! "In NO way was I making fun of any ethnicity! I was simply making a goofy face. When did that become newsworthy? It seems someone is trying to make something out of nothing to me. If that would of (sic) been anyone else, it would of been overlooked! I definitely feel like the press is trying to make me out as the new ‘BAD GIRL’!"

Rap superstar 50 CENT is celebrating - a $50 million (£34.2 million) lawsuit filed against him by his ex-girlfriend has been thrown out of court.
Shaniqua Tompkins, the mother of 50’s son Marquise, sued the In Da Club hitmaker last year (08), alleging he reneged on a deal made during their relationship to share half of all his future earnings with her.
She claimed as part of the agreement she would be a stay-at-home mum while 50 worked to establish a name for himself in the music industry.
According to Tompkins, the rapper - real name Curtis Jackson - turned his back on the deal after scoring a hit with his debut album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ - prompting the bitter ex to file suit in the New York Supreme Court.
But her bid for compensation was dismissed by a New York judge on Wednesday (04Feb09) after 50’s lawyers moved to have the case thrown out.
The star’s lawyer, Brett Kimmel, says in a statement, "I just received word that 50’s motion for summary judgement has been granted.
"Shaniqua Tompkin’s $50 million (£34.2 million) lawsuit has been dismissed, in its entirety, with prejudice. Once again, justice prevails." The lawsuit is the latest legal battle 50 Cent has faced from his ex - they have been locked in a war of words since the star’s Long Island, New York mansion was destroyed in a mysterious fire last May (08), and just last month (Jan09) settled a custody dispute over 11-year-old Marquise.

ROD STEWART’s wildchild son SEAN STEWART has been tapped for a return to reality TV in a show documenting his attempt to start his own fashion line.
The reformed hellraiser, an aspiring songwriter, musician and model, attempted to kick his addiction to painkillers on U.S. series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew last year (08).
According to the New York Post, Stewart has signed a new TV deal following his fashion background as he moves from Los Angeles to New York to pursue his new career.
The series will reportedly air on either the MTV or VH1 networks.
A spokesperson for Stewart has declined to comment.

Legendary rocker SIR ELTON JOHN will make a guest appearance on rap icon EMINEM’s comeback album, according to music industry gossip.
The pair dueted at the Grammy Awards back in 2001, at a time when Eminem was attempting to distance himself from allegations of homophobia.
And insiders claim they have reunited to record a track on Relapse, the rapper’s first new album in five years.
Rumours began to circulate in Eminem’s native Detroit, Michigan last October (09), when John visited the city at the same time the rapper was in the recording studio.
And as the release of Relapse approaches, fans are expecting a surprise collaboration.
A source tells British newspaper the Independent, "No one realised the significance, though the Detroit Free Press did mention that Elton had been in town. Elton really gets his music. Anything they produce will be total dope: some of Em’s biggest records have been collaborations with mainstream pop stars - Dido on ‘Stan’, for example - and they really don’t come much bigger, or more mainstream, than the man with the red piano." Relapse is due for release later in 2009.

Hollywood actress ANGELINA JOLIE has issued an emotive plea to the Thai government - urging officials to free thousands of Burmese refugees who have been held in camps for up to 20 years.
The star visited the Ban Mai Nai Soi refugee centre in Northern Thailand on Wednesday (04Feb09) as part of her role as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations (U.N.).
Jolie was seen spending time with the residents, talking to young women about their situation and handing out soccer balls to youngsters at the camp.
Thai officials have yet to grant official refugee status to the 5,000 Burmese civilians who fled to the country following conflict across the border in Myanmar, previously known as Burma.
The 111,000 registered refugees who live in nine camps along the Thai-Myanmar border are not allowed to venture outside the camps to work or receive higher education.
And Jolie has now called on Thai politicians to take action.
She says in a statement via the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), "I was saddened to meet a 21-year-old woman who was born in a refugee camp, who has never even been out of the camp and is now raising her own child in a camp.
"With no foreseeable chance that these refugees will soon be able to return to Burma (Myanmar), we must find some way to help them work and become self reliant.
"As with all people, they deserve to have their human rights respected."
