Actress ANNA TORV has married her TV co-star MARK VALLEY, in a small, private ceremony.
The couple, co-stars on U.S. crime series Fringe, dated secretly for several months before exchanging vows in December (08), Torv’s spokesperson has confirmed to the Associated Press.
The romance began on set for Torv, 30, and Valley, 44, who play secret lovers and work partners on the show, who hide their affair from their bosses at the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

ROBERT DOWNEY JR. is hoping movie bosses decide against producing a sequel to his 2008 hit TROPIC THUNDER - because he fears a follow-up "wouldn’t be as good".
The Iron Man star plays the controversial role of Kirk Lazarus in the film - an Australian method actor who undergoes an operation to darken his skin in order to play an African-American character.
The performance has earned Downey Jr. an Oscar nomination at the 22 February (09) ceremony, where he will compete in the Best Supporting Actor category.
But despite the box office success and critical acclaim garnered by Tropic Thunder, Downey Jr. is not keen to return to the project.
He says, "I have a feeling that we’d still make some money but it probably wouldn’t be as good. (But) I’d like to work with Ben (Stiller) again."

FLEET FOXES frontman ROBIN PECKNOLD is launching his own side project - he has created a new band by the name of WHITE ANTELOPE.
The U.S. singer has set up a MySpace.com internet page for his new group, posting two previously unheard tracks for fans to sample.
False Knight On The Road is a solo folk song recorded by Pecknold and will reportedly feature as a B-side on upcoming Fleet Foxes single Mykonos, and on the re-released version of their self-titled 2008 debut album.
The star has admitted that he is behind the White Antelope venture and hopes to put some more work into the project this year (09).
Pecknold tells the Chocolate Bobka website, "I used to post demos of songs on that page before the record came out. I want to do a record of really spare stuff for White Antelope so it may be recorded this year. I dunno if that is a good name though."

Veteran singer/songwriter ALBERT HAMMOND is keen to team up with his son, THE STROKES star ALBERT HAMMOND JR. - because he "dreams of a collaboration" between the pair.
The It Never Rains in Southern California hitmaker enjoyed hits on both sides of the Atlantic during the 1970s, and his prolific songwriting career has produced songs for artists including Aretha Franklin and Sir Elton John, Johnny Cash and Tina Turner.
But the 64-year-old star still has one ambition left to fulfil - working with his rocker son.
He says, "My all-time dream is to take to the stage just father and son. Perhaps one day he might even like to write a song with me.
"I think my son and I have many similarities. He’s heard all the music I love, be it Buddy Holly, The Beatles or Johnny Cash and I think he’s absorbed it. But he’s young and tries to be a little hipper than his dad, so he’ll often dismiss that music.
"Albert’s a terrific kid, and though I may not approve of everything he does, he’s just a wonderful human being."

Pop superstar PRINCE treated fans to a surprise performance over the internet this weekend (31Jan-01Feb09) - by broadcasting a live gig from his basement.
The Purple Rain hitmaker launched his new official website by taking to the stage with a full band at his Los Angeles home on Saturday (31Jan09), playing to a handful of journalists, competition winners and celebrity fans, including soul singer Anita Baker.

Former pop idol NICK CARTER faces a daily struggle staying sober after doctors warned the BACKSTREET BOY a booze binge could kill him.
The 29-year-old sought medical help last year (08), after suffering from chest pains.
Doctors in Florida diagnosed him with cardiomyopathy; a build up of toxins that prevents the heart from pumping blood efficiently.
The condition was blamed on the years of binge drinking and drug taking that had caused Carter’s weight to balloon and his health to deteriorate - and medics warned him he’d end up dead if he didn’t stop.
He tells People magazine, "My doctors said, ‘You need to change your lifestyle.’ "I don’t want to die. I don’t want to be that person people read about and think, ‘That’s sad that he couldn’t stop it and killed himself.’" Eight months on, the star has dropped all the extra pounds and cut drink, drugs and fatty foods out of his diet - but he admits he finds it hard to stay clean. He confesses he has lapsed and "started to drink a couple of glasses of wine, and I couldn’t control it" - but credits his doctor with helping him stay sober.
Specialist Dr. Richard Polakoff tells People, "Once you get this condition, it can get progressively worse until the heart is extremely weak. But if he abstains from alcohol and other substances, I think we can get his heart back to normal."

ROBERT PLANT has finally divulged the real reason why he opted out of a full LED ZEPPELIN reunion - because it would be inappropriate without their late drummer JOHN BONHAM.
Bonham died in 1980 at the age of 32, effectively ending the band’s career - the three remaining members, Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, disbanded the group three months after he passed away.
The legendary rockers returned for a one-off gig in London in December 2007, with Bonham’s son Jason filling in for his father on percussion.
The Kashmir hitmakers subsequently announced plans for a possible world tour and new album - but Plant refused to rejoin his former bandmates, putting his absence down to touring commitments with current collaborator, Alison Krauss.
But now the singer has disclosed the reason why he could never resurrect the group - because they will never be the same without Bonham, and he doesn’t want to jeopardise Led Zeppelin’s rock legacy.
He says, "The reason that it stopped was because we were incomplete, and we’ve been incomplete now for 29 years.
"I think the thing about it is really, is that to visit old ground, it’s a very incredibly delicate thing to do, and the disappointment that could be there once you commit to that and the comparisons to something that was basically fired by youth and a different kind of exuberance to now, it’s very hard to go back and meet that head on and do it justice."

BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN’s upcoming tour is embroiled in controversy - a U.S. congressman has demanded an investigation of an online ticket distributor after the rocker’s fans were prevented from purchasing tickets.
New Jersey Representative Bill Pascrell has urged the Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department to investigate possible conflicts of interest involving Ticketmaster and its reseller TicketsNow, which reportedly published an ad offering tickets for hundreds of dollars more than face value.
Fans complained when Springsteen’s show at the Meadowlands Stadium - in the star’s native New Jersey - went on sale on Monday (02Feb09), but they received an error message, disabling ticket sales before rerouting buyers to purchase more expensive tickets from a subsidiary.
A spokesperson for Ticketmaster says only a few fans reported problems, reports the Associated Press.
Springsteen’s tour kicks off on 1 April (09) in San Jose, California.

Hollywood actress GWYNETH PALTROW was "devastated" when she first met her rock idol COURTNEY LOVE - because the singer was "really horrible" to her.
The unlikely pair is now firm friends, but, during their first encounter on the set of Paltrow’s 1999 movie Shakespeare In Love, the actress was shocked by the former Hole frontwoman’s rude behaviour towards her She tells Elle magazine, "We were in an elevator and she was really horrible to me. And I was the biggest Hole fan of all time. I was devastated. Then she went on a drugs spiral." However, Love subsequently apologised for her harsh words, and the touching moment led to a close friendship between the two.
Paltrow adds, "When she got sober, she contacted me and was like, ‘I feel like I missed an opportunity with you.’ Then we just started texting and talking and now when she’s here (in the U.K.) she comes round. When we’re in L.A. we have dinner."

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE director DANNY BOYLE worships the pastor who talked him out of joining the priesthood as a boy - because he loves his movie career.
The 52-year-old was eager to please his mum by dedicating his life to religion when he was younger.
But after earning a series of honours for his latest film - about a former street child who wins the Indian version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? - Boyle is certain he’s chosen the right career path.
He says, "It’s not a joke - actually there (are) loads of directors who as a side-off kind of flirted with the priesthood. Martin Scorsese, John Wood. My mom’s a very devout Catholic from Ireland and she wanted me, her eldest son, to be a priest.
"There was this priest who said to me, ‘I don’t think you should do it. I think you should wait until girls and music and all those things come into your life.’ And I don’t know if he was trying to save me or the priesthood (but) I’m very grateful to him for it." Boyle’s film has already won gongs at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards. It has also received 11 nominations at the upcoming British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs), airing Sunday (08Feb09), and ten nods at the upcoming Oscars, held in Los Angeles on 22 February (09).

Comedian ELLEN DEGENERES is ready to settle for the quiet life with partner PORTIA DE ROSSI - the pair is looking to buy a farm.
DeGeneres is under contract to her U.S. talk show through 2010 and insists she does not want out of the programme.
But since marrying de Rossi in August (08), the 51-year-old admits she’s considered stepping away from the bright lights.
DeGeneres tells Ladies Home Journal, "I don’t need to be on camera. I’m not a workaholic. I love to spend time with my wife, my family, my animals… (We’re) looking for the right place to have a farm. Someplace like Massachusetts or Nantucket, with seasons."

Actor HANK AZARIA is to become a first time father.
The 44-year-old, who provides the voice for The Simpsons character Moe Szyslak, among others, is expecting a baby boy with his girlfriend of two years, former actress Katie Wright.
Wright is currently in her second trimester - and the couple, which is searching for a new home to house its growing family, couldn’t be more delighted with the news.
Azaria’s representative Stan Rosenfield tells People.com, "They’re quite ecstatic." The actor was previously married to As Good As It Gets star Helen Hunt.

HULK HOGAN’s son NICK has been granted permission to drive for business-related purposes - just months after he was jailed for a drunken car crash that left his best friend brain damaged.
The 18-year-old served five months of an eight-month sentence after pleading no contest to a felony reckless driving offence following a horrific car crash in Clearwater, Florida in 2007 - which left his friend and passenger, John Graziano, severely injured.
He was released from Pinellas County Jail in October (08).
Hogan’s lawyers recently petitioned for the teen to be allowed to get back behind the wheel for work, despite his license technically being suspended until 2011, as per the terms of his sentence.
And the motion has been approved by officials at the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, insisting Hogan is within his rights as long as he obeys the driving restrictions.

Model/actress ANGIE EVERHART is set to become a first-time mum - and hopes to turn her pregnancy into a reality TV series.
The Last Action Hero beauty - who split from former fiance Joe Pesci last April (08) - is 14 weeks pregnant, but refuses to reveal the identity of the baby’s father.
She tells E! Online, "The dad is very nice and he’s very excited about it, but we are not a couple. It’s nobody you know." And the star is shopping around her single-mum status to broadcasters in a bid to land her very own fly-on-the-wall show.

Hollywood bosses are set to turn the life of tragic star JUDY GARLAND into a major movie.
Film mogul Harvey Weinstein’s company has acquired the rights to Gerald Clarke’s biography of the singer/actress, Get Happy: the Life of Judy Garland.
The book, published in 2000, details Garland’s many personal problems, including her long running battle with drug and alcohol addiction, money woes and her string of divorces.
Clarke’s biography of Truman Capote served as the basis for Dan Futterman’s Oscar-nominated 2005 picture Capote.
Garland died of an accidental overdose in 1969 at the age of 47.

ROBERT DOWNEY JR. has denied fellow Oscar nominee MICKEY ROURKE is set to play his nemesis in the upcoming IRON MAN sequel.
Downey Jr. played the lead role of tycoon-turned-superhero Tony Stark in the 2008 comic book movie and is set to to return for a follow-up.
Rumours about actors set to join the cast of Iron Man 2 have been swirling for months, with stars including Emily Blunt, Tim Robbins and Sam Rockwell all linked to the project.
Rourke is the latest name said to be in contention for a role in the blockbuster, but Downey Jr. insists reports The Wrestler star has already signed up to play comic book villain Crimson Dynamo are false.
He tells MTV.com, "That�s actually incorrect." And Downey Jr. has also refused to be drawn on further speculation about whether Rourke is in negotiations to play another character, Whiplash, in the film, adding, "I can neither confirm nor deny that. Or maybe it�s some semblance of both. I can tell you everything about the story except I won�t give away the ending. The nerd stuff is top-drawer security.� The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas in summer 2010.

The former Cuban TV and radio boss who banned the BEATLES’s music from the country’s airwaves has died.
Jorge Serguera, who was the president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television in the 1970s, pulled the Fab Four’s tracks from broadcaster’s schedules, fearing the band’s music would threaten the communist revolution.
A state TV network announced his death, at the age of 76, on Tuesday (03Feb09). No further details were released as WENN went to press.
Despite banning music by the iconic British foursome, Serguera admitted he liked to listen to their songs in private.
Cuban officials have since allowed Beatles records to be played, and there is even a statue of John Lennon sitting on a park bench in the country’s capital of Havana.

Singer/actress FANTASIA BARRINO is reportedly set to reprise her role in THE COLOR PURPLE in a production of the stage musical in Washington, D.C. this summer (09).
The former American Idol champ starred in the Broadway adaptation of author Alice Walker’s novel of the same name from April 2007 to January 2008.
And now she’s preparing to transform herself into the character of Celie once again when the hit show tours the U.S., with a three-month stint at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
AOL’s Black Voices columnist Jawn Murray writes: "Though news of Fantasia’s return is apparently being kept under wraps - well, until now - I’m told the producers of the show are eager to see the High Point, North Carolina native return to the production.
"My source told me that the negative attention Fantasia received by the ‘New York Post’ in December of 2007 for missing 50 shows was unwarranted because the 24-year-old star single-handedly ‘made a truck load of money for that show.’" Barrino was forced to skip a number of performances due to a tumour on her vocal chords, which has now been fully removed.
The Broadway play closed in February 2008.
