Actress SHARON STONE was one celebrity who left Washington, D.C. unhappy following President BARACK OBAMA’s historic inauguration, after her friends were turned away from one of the night’s 10 glitzy balls.
The Basic Instinct star was caught on camera pleading with organisers of the Western States Inauguration Ball, where Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony performed, to let her entourage past security.
The upset actress said, "My friends can’t come in? Then I can’t come in.
We’re not doing that."

LINDSAY LOHAN has blamed the paparazzi for causing a series of car crashes that eventually landed the actress in jail for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2007.
The Mean Girls star has been involved in a number of minor motor collisions, including one incident in 2007 when, following a crash, cops found a "usable" amount of cocaine in her car and she was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
And Lohan points the finger of blame for her accidents squarely at the paparazzi, who constantly tail her in the hope of getting a picture.
She tells Interview magazine, "My car accident that I got into, where I got my first charge, I wouldn’t have been speeding up like I was if I didn’t have people shoving cameras in my windows. I was running away from the paparazzi.
"Especially late at night, when you’re trying to turn a corner, and then somebody else is speeding up alongside you. So, you know, it’s okay for someone to chase me and then try to cut me off so I ram my car into a tree… I mean, I know this guy was trying to do his job, but his ‘job’ almost landed me half-dead.
"Not only that, but they all stand to make a lot more money at it if they’ve got pictures of you in a car crashed into a tree." Lohan was also charged with possession of cocaine and misdemeanour charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license in July 2007.
The star spent that summer (07) in rehab in a bid to conquer her demons and later spent 84 minutes in jail for her two DUI charges - but she won’t forgive the snappers for their part in the incidents.
She adds, "They’re instigating and antagonising you. All of them aren’t bad.
But I will tell you that I had one of these guys drive into the side of my car once. That’s how I met my criminal defence attorney.
"I think the guy who hit me wound up going to jail for a few days. I was not injured. I sprained my ankle because the door hit me really hard, but I’ve sprained my ankle a lot of times before, from soccer and dancing and ballet." But the actress does get a thrill out of the ongoing car chases she encounters with the paparazzi: "At the same time, though, I am sort of a speed demon. It’s exhilarating."

LIAM NEESON’s first viewing of his new movie FIVE MINUTES OF HEAVEN was far from heavenly - because he had to watch it at top U.S. film festival Sundance with 200 strangers.
The actor is currently promoting the new drama, about Northern Ireland’s troubled past, at the movie event in Park City, Utah, this month (Jan09).
And he insists he was dreading watching the finished product for the first time at a screening.
Asked if he would enjoy watching the film, Neeson responded: "I wouldn’t use the word ‘fun’. It’s strange - it’s kind of giving birth. I hadn’t seen the complete film and to see it with 200 other people is a wee bit nerve-wracking.
"You work on something for quite a long period and then you see it and there’s stuff you can’t change.
"And you’re seeing it with a roomful of strangers too. It’s a kind of a very odd, unique feeling."

VAL KILMER has fuelled reports he’s bidding to become the next actor-turned-politician by running for office as New Mexico’s next governor.
The Batman Forever star, 48, publicly voiced his political ambitions in November (08) with plans to have a sit down with California state governor, former actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And Kilmer admits his confidence has gotten a boost since the idea first came to fruition, thanks an onslaught of unexpected support.
He tells the New York Daily News, "It’s not a job I ever thought about. But I have a lot of affection for my state. (Support for my running) has been bizarre and massive. (Current Governor) Bill Richardson said he thought I’d make a good governor. He can’t really come out and support me while he’s in office, can he?"

Veteran comedy star JONATHAN WINTERS is mourning the death of his wife of 60 years, EILEEN.
Eileen lost her 20-year battle with cancer on 11 January (08), at the age of 84.
Former Mork and Mindy and It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World star Winters, 83, says, "I’ve suffered a tremendous, tremendous loss. We were not just lovers and husband and wife - she was the best friend I ever had.
"She was a hell of a fighter. I’ve been a lucky guy to have had Eileen as long as I did."

Actress SIENNA MILLER’s on-off boyfriend, BALTHAZAR GETTY, is heading to jail as part of a storyline in hit TV drama BROTHERS & SISTERS.
The actor, who plays Tommy Walker on the show, has long been the subject of firing rumours, following his affair with Miller in 2008.
Insiders claimed the romance had caused a rift between Getty and his co-stars, but the actor recently insisted there were no problems on the set claims backed up by his TV sister Rachel Griffiths.
Earlier this month (Jan09), Getty told TV Guide, "There were all these stories that the set was divided… but we’re family. You have ups and downs, but you stay together and love each other without judgment." And he faced up to reports his job was on the line, by stating, "I’d like to stay on the show and finish out my contract at the very least." But now co-star Matthew Rhys, who introduced the actor to Miller, admits Getty’s days on the drama are numbered.
He tells TV Guide, "A number of episodes have been offered to Balt next season. It’s going to be a choice for him whether he wants that or not." But his TV wife, Sarah Jane Morris, isn’t holding out much hope - and has reportedly started looking for new work.
She tells the publication the whole situation has left her feeling "icky".

GOSSIP GIRL star KELLY RUTHERFORD and her estranged husband have been ordered to court in their custody battle over their two-year-old son.
The actress and her soon-to-be ex, Daniel Giersch, attended a hearing in Santa Monica, California on Wednesday (21Jan09) and the couple will testify against each other on Thursday (22Jan09) before a judge decides whether Rutherford can take her son, Hermes, to New York, where she shoots Gossip Girl, until March (09).
Giersch has asked for the judge to halt Rutherford’s plans, claiming she has anger issues and he is his son’s primary care giver.
Giersch’s attorney, Fahi Takesh-Hallin, argued in court that it is in the child’s best interest for the boy to stay with his father.
In legal papers filed on Wednesday (21Jan09), Giersch claims he tried to potty train his son, but Rutherford took the mini-toilet seat away, hid it and did not "encourage him to use the toilet." In documents obtained by TMZ.com, Giersch adds, "I have witnessed that she does not always keep his bottom clean."

MONKEES star MICKEY DOLENZ, BAD COMPANY’s SIMON KIRKE and THE CARS’ ELLIOT EASTON will front a jam band supergroup which will perform at the Screen Actors Guild post-show gala on Sunday (25Jan09).
Billed as the Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp All Stars, the group will play for winners, losers and presenters at the glitzy event held at the Shrine Exposition Center after the prizegiving.
The group will also consist of former Guns N’ Roses and Alice Cooper rocker Teddy Andreadis, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Mark Hudson and Winger leader Kip Winger.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp All Stars also came together to kick off the 2009 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show in Anaheim, California last week (ends16Jan09).
The rockers also fronted the five-day Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp in 2008, which offers music lovers the chance to learn from and perform with their heroes.
This year’s All Stars line-up includes Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver star Duff McKagan, Toto’s Steve Lukather and former Grand Funk Railroad rocker Mark Farner.

R&B star AKON has no idea how old he is.
His birth certificate suggests he was born in April, 1977, which makes him 31 - but he refuses to believe he’s that old; in 2006, he told one interviewer he was 25.
And the Smack That hitmaker tells the Associated Press he has no interest in checking his age: "All it’s going to do is depress me. I don’t want to know I’m getting older. Then I’ll start to think about getting check-ups and insurance.
I don’t want that." The Senegalese star adds, "In Africa… age is not important. They don’t care.
"I feel like I’m 21 right now, and I’ll be 21 for the next 10 years."

R&B star BRANDY refuses to rule out a real marriage, after confessing her 2002 wedding to ROBERT SMITH was a sham.
The singer recently revealed she lied about marrying Smith after discovering she was pregnant with his daughter - because she didn’t want her fans to think of her as an unwed mum.
But the whole controversy hasn’t put Brandy off marriage.
She says, "I want to get married for the first time. I want to be married, absolutely. I want to have a marriage, a family - all of that.
"I just want to be with the right man."

Country music legend MERLE HAGGARD is hoping to return to the recording studio after undergoing lung cancer surgery at the end of 2008.
The singer/songwriter, 71, is making a steady recovery after his operation in November (08), and he has started to exercise on a stationery bike at his home.
He tells People magazine, "I’m doing real well, a little better every day…
I’m going into the studio to see how my voice sounds." And he admits he "got real lucky" because his cancer op wasn’t a big deal: "Most of the reports were like, ‘He’s got six months to live!’ There was never any indication of that.
"I lost the upper lobe of my right lung where there was a tumor suspended like a fruit on a tree
. But there was no chemo.
"I feel like I’ve extended my life
. I’m in better shape than when I went in." And Haggard is already planning his next tour: "I need an enormous amount of money to maintain my lifestyle so I’ve got to go to work
. The economy requires it!"

ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER and best pal TOM ARNOLD are planning to reteam for a sequel to 1994 action comedy TRUE LIES - as soon as Arnie gives up his post as Governor of California.
Schwarzenegger put his acting career on hold when he was elected to the post in 2003. He was re-elected in 2006, but is banned from running a third time, and close friend and True Lies co-star Arnold is ready to lure him back into the studio, to make a True Lies follow up with director James Cameron.
Arnold tells Starpulse.com, "If all goes as planned, the day Arnold leaves office, we will again team with Jim Cameron and do a comedy. Jim says it might not be called True Lies II, but it will be fun.
"True Lies was my first real movie experience, and we’ve all stayed close, which I’ve realised, 50 films later, is very unusual. I love those guys." Arnold is convinced he’ll be able to lure his friend back to acting - because one of the rare movie appearances Schwarzenegger has made in the past six years was in a film he wrote, which featured their True Lies co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.
He adds, "(It) was a cameo with Jamie Lee Curtis in The Kid, a movie I wrote and produced based on my real relationship with my next door neighbour. He’s a talented young man with cerebral palsy who watched True Lies 100 times and dreamed of playing the action hero in a film like that, with me as his sidekick."

Country star TAYLOR SWIFT has scored a seventh week atop the U.S. album chart, becoming the first artist to record the feat since USHER in 2004.
Her hit album Fearless sold just 63,000 copies last week, but that was enough to keep Beyonce’s I Am… Sasha Fierce and Nickelback’s Dark Horse off the top.
Beyonce’s album rose up two spots to two, while Nickelback slipped a place to three.
The soundtrack to Notorious B.I.G. biopic Notorious is the chart’s highest debut - it bows at four, and Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreak rounds out the new top five.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star TERI HATCHER landed her daughter a speaking role in new animated movie CORALINE.
The actress took daughter Emerson, 11, to voiceover sessions in Portland, Oregon and when the crew needed to bring a firefly to life for the film, they turned to the youngster.
Hatcher says, "Emerson has two lines as a firefly. I’m so proud."

The wife and adopted daughter of COLUMBO star PETER FALK are fighting over who will care for the ailing actor.
Last month (Dec08) Falk’s adopted daughter, Catherine Falk, filed papers claiming her father has dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and can no longer care for himself. Catherine is asking the court to name her his conservator.
But on Tuesday (20Jan08) Falk’s second wife, Shera, fought back by filing her own court papers, insisting he should be allowed to remain at home with her.
She alleges her husband of 32 years never attended Catherine’s wedding and has never met her children.
In documents obtained by TMZ.com, Shera adds, "(Falk is) happy and healthy under the current conditions at home," where she says she provides constant care for the ageing actor.

Actor JEREMY LONDON and his wife have reconciled after a messy end to 2008.
The former 7th Heaven star’s wife, Melissa Cunningham, filed for a restraining order against her husband last August (08) after an alleged fight.
But, according to London’s representative, the order never got to court and the pair is together again.
The rep disputes tabloid claims that Cunningham was granted a restraining order and a Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered his client to stay away from Cunningham.
He says, "There was no order because the case never got to court. Jeremy and Melissa are very happy together." London, 35, was slapped with a restraining order in 2004 after he was arrested for allegedly throwing his girlfriend out of his car at the side of a California freeway.
He and Cunningham were married in September 2006 and Cunningham gave birth to the couple’s son Lyrik in 2007.

The stars of SEX AND THE CITY have agreed deals to star in a big screen sequel, according to reports.
Just months after the first movie adaptation of the hit TV series became a box office hit - making more than $400 million (GBP285 million) worldwide producers have gathered actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis and Kim Cattrall together, and thrashed out lucrative agreements for them to reprise their roles.
A source tells Us Weekly magazine, "Not all the contracts are signed, but everyone is on board. It just happened." Parker publicly rebuked Cattrall last year (08) after she prematurely announced the sequel was going ahead during an interview on TV in Britain.
Parker said, "I’m thrilled to know Kim is excited but all the deals are not yet done… We need to figure this out in the next couple of months." And, last month (Dec08), co-star Nixon announced, "We don’t know if it’s (sequel) coming up. We’re in negotiation. I’m very hopeful, but certainly nothing is for sure. I don’t think anyone’s deals are done.
"We were very excited to get to do the first one, and we’re keeping our fingers crossed that we get to do another one." Shooting is scheduled to start this summer (09).

Actor BENICIO DEL TORO has come clean about a teenage prank that forced a California couple to flee their home in fear.
Reports have suggested the Oscar winner went too far with a practical joke and convinced the victims of a robbery he was the thief over the phone - and he would be striking again.
Del Toro has rarely spoken about the controversy, but opens up in the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine.
After initially stating, "Don’t believe everything you read," the Traffic star reveals, "Yeah, OK, I guess I did do that… I was in college." The publication claims the couple Del Toro harassed became so worried about a second robbery, they moved.
